Hey guys! Have a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell Study Club and Game Club mingle! This is just to help me keep everything mainly in one spot for the most part, since Senku is in charge of both clubs! But, of course there's quite a few things happening in both clubs:

STUDY/TUTORING CLUB

With Finals Week looming ever closer, there's definitely a big boom in students showing up for this club in specific! Everyone's got their own ways of cramming for Finals, so maybe going through your notes a few times with fellow students and study buddies might help you get a leg up on your grades, and that test anxiety! Don't worry- you're not alone in this.

GAME CLUB

Anyone like TTRPGs? Well, you're in luck! Game Club is looking for a few students interested in being part of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign! Who's the DM? Why, none other than club president Senku himself! He's mostly looking for interest before diving too deep into campaign details just yet, but let him know if you'd be down for it!

I will say, Game Club will NOT meet during Finals Week itself, just to make sure people focus more on studying and getting those good grades! So please make sure that prompts don't take place during the 20th-24th! It'll come back a few days after Christmas just to let everyone breathe after that stressful week.

With all of that out of the way, please feel free to make your own posts and top-levels! Make sure to specify what club it's for too so people don't get too confused! Thanks!!!

[Despite being a massive nerd, Shin has... never actually played a table top game, because that requires physically going to a place where people are at a time when they're awake. (He may or may not have gotten into arguments about them online, but that's different.) He knows the basic gist from cultural osmosis... but still, can't hurt to brush up on the rulebooks themselves.

...because Shin is That Player, the one that memorizes rulesets with an eye towards exploiting them as much as possible.]

[Noah has never played tabletop in his life and is desperately looking for the answer to that question. But look, listen, he's tried his best, he has a character and everything rolled. That was the easy part.]

Oh. It says "2nd Edition". Whatever that means... Is it like encyclopaedias, where they just release new versions sometimes?

Yeah! We were up to the 5th edition back in my world. Well, before the whole Stone Age thing, at least.

[ He lets out a chuckle as he takes out a notebook. ]

I ran some small encounters with my friends a while back- [ Taiju and Yuzuriha definitely played DnD with Senku and you can't prove me wrong. ] I'm pretty sure I remember most of the rules to 5E if we ever wanted to give that a try, too. It's up to player discretion and what you guys would find the most fun, essentially.

Yeah! I can give you some examples of different character sheets.

[ Senku is fully prepared!! He takes out a folder with some pre-made characters as examples. There's no names on them, juuust in case. ]

Here are some pre-made sheets I randomized with different races and classes. You're welcome to use one of them if any of them speak to you in specific too.

Game Club! [ closed to Nene ]

[ Senku has noticed he doesn't hang around Nene too often, which is a shame since she's one of the more reasonable people around this place. Usually she's hanging around with Noah, but it's not the same. But hey, at least there's games to bring people together in such a tough time, right?

He sits with his controller in hand, playing along to some Mario Kart with her. ]

It's been a while since we've got to just sit around together. How have you been holding up?

( oh... old school mario kart. this is gonna be so janky. she can't wait! before she picks up the controller, however, she debates- senku's smart, and knows basically everything. but trying to sign while playing is hard? hmmm... ugh, she needs to practice more with day to day experiences but not today. her head already hurts enough. so it's phone time- her actual phone, not the PDA. )

i'd say i could be better, but i think that goes for everyone really

Heh. I'm sure we'll get out of here somehow. There's still plenty of mysteries to solve.

[ It's like a mantra for Senku to say something like that at this point. He's practically got the patience of a saint after being stuck in stone for 3,700 years, so he knows how easier said than done it is. But he's really trying to keep hope that there will be some sort of breakthrough in his research on Yogen.

He's already come this far... It'd be silly to trip at the finish line now. Much like how Yoshi just red shelled him right before he crossed the finish only to overtake him. ]

( oof- nene winces sympathetically. but one man's red shell is one fish's opportunity, so.......

still, it sounds like senku's telling himself that just as much as he's telling her. almost no one is comfortable here, and quite a few are nearing the end of their ropes, this much is clear. but because they're in the middle of a race, she can't exactly reply... surely he understands.

[ Senku's back in the race. And he understands! He'll wait patiently until after the round is over to know her thoughts on the matter. This place did wear people down physically and mentally- it was nice to have lighthearted moments like these. Well, as lighthearted as they can be anyways. The cultural festival last month was definitely something that brought everyone's spirits up. Now it just seems like the mood's hit rock bottom again ever since the finals happened. ]

[Satou is rather shy about popping in. She's never joined a club before, so doesn't know what the typical procedure would be. That, and she doesn't know if she's welcome in a club. After all, she is relatively new and she hasn't met many people yet.

So when she does enter the club room, Satou is very anxious. That anxiety is covered by the performance of being a genki girl, which comes out rather stiff at times;]

H, howdy um! Does anyone like literature? Cuz I suck at it!

[... ah. she just admitted a flaw. She can feel her pride taking a self inflicted hit.]

[Lucifer's just kind of... sitting in the classroom, grading a stack of papers since he's the history professor for the third years, but he's really here to help the club out in general where possible.]

[She brings her lips together in an awkward smile, going stiff with nerves. Someone answered..! And he looks like an adult... Satou hasn't interacted with many anyones adults in her recent years, but she thinks of herself as "mature." She wants to leave a good first impression.]

... The stuff about books. Th-that we were supposed to have read! I'm not sure how that'll look on an exam.

( call him as you will, he won't mind generally. but satou's probably seen him around before. he sets down the clipboard with a half-scored worksheet down to clear a space out around him for her to sit and do her work. though sidney speaks stoically, and may be a little intimidating with his scarred eye and one arm, he's also gentle as he starts to prod at her experience a little- )

Can you tell me what you consider your strong points and weak points are? Even if it's just one strong point, that'll help. Alright?

[An English teacher..! She has seen him around, but she's never taken the time to talk to him. She's been trying to BS her way into a smart kid reputation and knows that one actual word from her mouth might topple that tower.

But she really needs the help... Better to ask a teacher than a student, right? Plus, this kind of confession doesn't seem dumb. Just honest;]

Um. I never actually took many exams in my last... "life." I don't know what a literature exam will even look like.
