Two adult men circle each other like wary cats, the post
WHO: James Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes, and you!
WHEN: Probably after the whole...murder discussion thing
WHAT: Two men have found their way, and as is normal for them, immediately start blaming and barking at each other. And then after the girls are done fighting, they'll be around snooping in the area.
[Today, there's...a commotion in the auditorium. Looking out from the hallway - or approaching when you were already inside - will give you an eyeful of what looks like two adult men - one tall, thin, and with slicked back black hair, and the other with a head of gray hair and a mustache - in high school uniforms warily circling each other while also apparently talking.
One of them - the older man - has a decent set of lungs on him, which is probably what drew you to look at the courtyard in the first place.]
"...Blaming me for this, Holmes? How very arrogant of you!"
[The tall man is shockingly pale, his eyes daring around then back at the short man, his movements harried, sounding oddly breathless when he retorts]
"Can one be blamed when you always seem to be on the edge if not right in the middle of suspicious incidents?"
"Surely you can't believe I'm responsible for all of this! Isn't it much more likely we both got dragged to some kind of Singularity?"
[A pause and an unreadable expression flits across the tall man - Holmes' - face. His arms folds over his chest, his right hand gripping his left forearm tightly in the process, shoulders hunching up]
"...It is possible."
[The older man gives a scoff, shaking his head.]
"Yes, because I just happened to find another demon pillar to team up with, and chose a school to do my dastardly plan in."
"Fine. You're probably not involved. And no contact from Chaldea..."
[The younger man paces, still tightly gathered into himself.]
"Can't rely on outside here..."
"At least you can make out that in your current state."
[The men continue to circle and bicker as they keep their eyes on each other, practically wearing out a path with their feet as they do so.
There's the feeling they're not going to stop until someone breaks them up...Or, maybe you should leave and try to catch them later, alone?]
((OOC: OKAY SO - Moriarty and Holmes will have Individual top levels with prompts you can hit up, if you don't want to be involved in their little weird circle dance up top. If you DO, then just comment to this post and we'll both reply!))

He recognizes both voices, especially the young woman's]
Miss Risuka...?
no subject
Ritsuka! Good, Good - that confirms my suspicions. And Gawain with you, as well? We won't lack for power, that's for certain! Wahahaha!
no subject
I see that you are all becoming accustom to the new circumstances. [ He refers to the dead body covered by a blanket in a glass case, that him and the priest often try to place over it - or at least he does. ]

[She nods, then pauses, then shrugs at Moriarty as he approaches her. The thing is, Gawain wasn't summoned from Chaldea. When nobody showed up after a few days of being stuck here with no progress made, I decided to take a risk and try summoning someone myself, and this big palooka popped out. Something got scrambled up in the transition, though. He's human-ish like I'm guessing the two of you are—kinda like what happened in Salem—and he has memories of a different Holy Grail War. On something called the Moon Cell, I think?
I caught a bit of what you said on your way here. You said you didn't remember getting Rayshifted either?
no subject
So for now we can assume there will be no help from Chaldea for the time being... the first I recall after blacking out in the Shadow Border is waking up in front of the body.
[Sherlock's speaking an especially clipped fashion, glancing over to Gawain, studying the Knight]
How long do you think you've been here?
[Since time can run weirdly in singularities]
no subject
[THERE'S A DEFINITE PAUSE THERE - before moriarty suddenly shakes his head, allowing Sherlock to continue and be the one to do the interrogating. There's a slight twitch of his fingers when Sherlock mentions he remembers being in the Shadow Border, but nothing else.]
Yes - we do seem to be incarnated, at the very least. My Apologies, Sir Gawain - I momentarily assumed you were the one I'd seen in Chaldea's halls.
no subject
As it were, I am very presently aware of everything, that had happened within the moon cell before I had come here. [ A Pause most serious, glad that Ritsuka is clarifying matters that he need not bring up. Merely speak information over. He notes Moriartys pause - the definite pause. Keeping it in mind, as he speaks calm and concise. ] That said, I believe that the master and myself have been here oft a Month. In terms of what we consciously became aware over our circumstances on it.
no subject
Ah, well. She could worry about that later.]
Yeah. A lot's happened this past month.
Primarily concerning murder. Two of them, at last count.
no subject
[Of course that would get his attention, along with the confused way she said 'Shadow Border']
no subject
But on the topic of murders, he gives a loud, annoyed groan.]
And here he goes - if we are to discuss any amount of crime, may I dismiss myself for the time being before I feel like strangling a certain detective? Though, of course, I would like to speak with you in private later, Ritsuka.
no subject
If I am allowed to speak freely, Master?
no subject
[Of course, it'll be a pain to get him to actually tell the rest of the class anything until he's sure of his conclusion, but that's a headache for another day. Or maybe a few hours, depending on how things go.]
Can't blame you, Moriarty. Oh, when we do have that private conversation: Gawain, you're on Make-Sure-Holmes-Doesn't-Snoop duty. He's a really nosy and really sneaky bastard, so keep an eye out.
[Ritsuka is all too used to Sherlock's eavesdropping-as-brilliant-deduction nonsense by now.]
And you can always speak freely, Gawain, although I'm pretty sure this isn't a Grail War. Trust me on this: you can trust Moriarty and Sherlock, no matter what. Moriarty might seem like a shady old man, and he is a shady old man, but I know he'll always be in my corner. We've been through too much together for him to go back on his loyalty to me now. And Sherlock... he's also a shady dude, but he's spot on and has never stopped being an ally of humanity.
Even though he has a crippling drug addiction.
Speaking of, are you gonna be good, Holmes? I don't think the school has cocaine on tap.
no subject
...I rather you not air all of my personal business, but as that ship has sailed. I'll be fine.
[Whether he'll actually be is another matter entirely, but he is not going to have her fret about him when there are more important things to focus on, like resolving this singularity]
And no, I don't believe there is a Grail War, even in our current state, with my current class I should be aware of such a thing.
no subject
....And then Ritsuka does what she does best, and he's reminded why he adores her so goddamn much as he bursts into (admittedly villainous sounding) laughter.]
- aaah, but how lucky I am to be here with you, my dear Ritsuka. Still, no need to worry - Sherlock's drug of choice should make him merely a bit anxious and distracted for...Hm, a week or two? Just give him Valerian or Chamomile tea and he'll be fine.
[Just casually discusses a treatment plan in front of said addict like it's no big deal!!]

We are in a situation where there is the pretense of a 'Murder Game,' as some of the other children will call it. Where the solution and mystery of it need be solved - much like the depictions of mystery novels come to life. [ A pause, cordial as he lets the air shift. ]
We may be allowed our freedom, if there is a present conscious effort in solving the solution. However - as I had finished speaking with Master the other day, and the individuals here ardently aware of another life much like us. They are not of like mindedness, and find themselves distraught more than with care to figure out what is going on - or rather. The wish to figure it out, comes with the fear that ill will begot of it. Needless to say, there are very few if at all ready to inherently understand the cost and gravity of the situation. As many are still attempting to process the loss of life, or that they may be next.
Thus is the current situation that is unfolded, as for information regarding the body you may look at it yourselves & ask me thusly. I attended the meeting they called for, and can delegate to you any information from it as such. [ HE IS sparkling. ]
no subject
...and Gawain's pretty easily summed up the situation. I'm honestly with everyone else on this. The how- and whodunnit can wait until we figure out the whydunnit. [Thanks, Waver.] The situation in this school is complicated, and we barely know any of it ourselves. I don't want to hurt someone who might be in just as much trouble as we are no matter their crimes until we know why—and especially when we don't know what kind of punishment awaits them.
[If Ritsuka can work with Carmilla, she can forgive a lot of crimes.]
no subject
...Please tell me you'll assist in making better chemical water filters for everyone, Holmes. Iodine, at the very least, should be in whatever passes for a science lab here.
[GUYS.....BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS.....GUYS!!!]
Must we be forced to play detective?
[THE MOST DRAMATIC, PUT UPON SIGH IN THE WORLD, but he nods (though his eyes slightly glazed over when gawain said it was like a mystery. No wonder he and Sherlock are here) and gives a light shrug.]
But, ah well. I will do as you see fit, Ritsuka - as I am your humble Servant.
no subject
Of course, it's honestly amazing no one has gotten sick as of yet. Point me the way and I'll see what I can do with what we have on hand.
Then we focus on resolving the mystery of this school... You'll have my aid, of course.

Thank you, James. Sherlock.
[And back to business.]
Yeah, the Home Ec room has been our savior this past month or so, especially during spring break where no new food got brought into the school.
I'm going to need to thank EMIYA and Geronimo when we get back, Archer's cooking tips and Caster's jerky-making was crucial.
no subject
Home Ec...Yes, if we're confined to this school, then I suppose I'd better get on making preserved food and blankets, especially if food can be halted.
[There's a bit of a sigh - PLEASE HE THOUGHT HE WAS DONE WITH THAT SHIT - but he gives a shrug as if to say 'what can you do?']
Though of course, I wouldn't say no to some help...if you can spare it, of course.
no subject
I'll get on with a filter, and see what else might be needed while we're here.
