Two adult men circle each other like wary cats, the post
WHO: James Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes, and you!
WHEN: Probably after the whole...murder discussion thing
WHAT: Two men have found their way, and as is normal for them, immediately start blaming and barking at each other. And then after the girls are done fighting, they'll be around snooping in the area.
[Today, there's...a commotion in the auditorium. Looking out from the hallway - or approaching when you were already inside - will give you an eyeful of what looks like two adult men - one tall, thin, and with slicked back black hair, and the other with a head of gray hair and a mustache - in high school uniforms warily circling each other while also apparently talking.
One of them - the older man - has a decent set of lungs on him, which is probably what drew you to look at the courtyard in the first place.]
"...Blaming me for this, Holmes? How very arrogant of you!"
[The tall man is shockingly pale, his eyes daring around then back at the short man, his movements harried, sounding oddly breathless when he retorts]
"Can one be blamed when you always seem to be on the edge if not right in the middle of suspicious incidents?"
"Surely you can't believe I'm responsible for all of this! Isn't it much more likely we both got dragged to some kind of Singularity?"
[A pause and an unreadable expression flits across the tall man - Holmes' - face. His arms folds over his chest, his right hand gripping his left forearm tightly in the process, shoulders hunching up]
"...It is possible."
[The older man gives a scoff, shaking his head.]
"Yes, because I just happened to find another demon pillar to team up with, and chose a school to do my dastardly plan in."
"Fine. You're probably not involved. And no contact from Chaldea..."
[The younger man paces, still tightly gathered into himself.]
"Can't rely on outside here..."
"At least you can make out that in your current state."
[The men continue to circle and bicker as they keep their eyes on each other, practically wearing out a path with their feet as they do so.
There's the feeling they're not going to stop until someone breaks them up...Or, maybe you should leave and try to catch them later, alone?]
((OOC: OKAY SO - Moriarty and Holmes will have Individual top levels with prompts you can hit up, if you don't want to be involved in their little weird circle dance up top. If you DO, then just comment to this post and we'll both reply!))

B
[Even though he might be older than her, Inaba speaks rather casually, even if there's something about her stiff posture that shows that she's a little on guard, but don't worry: it's her, not him. Even if he is acting rather gentlemanly and ridiculous.]
no subject
[He straightens up, looking over her with a careful eye, before nodding.]
I suppose I meant something more like...any place that you would recommend I go, or visit often. I am, apparently, a transfer student [Said like he can't believe they're making him be a student], and the only place that I was directed to is currently unavailable.
no subject
[It certainly isn't a problem at the moment.
But at the mention of 'transfer student', she immediately understands.]
Well - there's an auction happening next month and most of the items being donated are being shown in the auditorium. Others can donate things for it as well, too. As for other relevant locations... I would probably say the clock tower.
no subject
[Just said completely cavalierly. Body? Ehn, he's seen a bunch of those. It's fine.]
And the clock tower you say...any particular reason as to why?
no subject
[She shrugs her shoulders at that, not minding the way he says it in such a nonchalant manner but absolutely keeping it in the back of her head.]
The other one should be there.
[The other... body, anyway.]
no subject
[Which....he assumes has probably gotten pretty far by now, seeing that it's not winter.]
Anyway! Merit points...hm. I suppose I'll have to keep from making a scene for a bit...though I wonder if you can trade or otherwise 'bet' your points, if they can be used as currency for an auction.
[....Is his eyes gleaming?]
no subject
(It's not fine.)]
Not to mention that it would probably be a loss if the body left the school... considering we can't even leave it.
[But moving away from the body--]
I haven't actually tried that, but it would be nice if it was possible, since we could get points from the other students.
[If his eyes are gleaming, Inaba certainly doesn't mind.]
no subject
[I mean. That's just normal things??? Corpses get grody :<]
Hahaha....and if it can't, there are still things one can purchase with it, yes? Potentially...hm....actually....would you be interested in a little....venture?
[Since she doesn't seem to mind and even looks a little into it~]
no subject
[She can't help but huff a breath at the thought.]
And I doubt this is the first time something like this has happened at the school, either...
[Although trying to figure out that is going to be difficult, she thinks.]
There is, yeah. Vending machine items can be pretty useful... [Mostly for food and drink purposes!] But as for your question, I certainly would not mind, depending on the specifics.
no subject
[His smile gets a bit....wider.]
I was considering making a sort of...place where students could come and 'bet' whatever they can in games for the chance of gaining more.
[So get a bunch of highschoolers addicted to gambling, and make out like bandits with snacks and drinks because The house always wins.]
I was wondering if you would be interested in becoming a 'partner' of sorts - for a fair share of the earnings, of course.
no subject
[It's suffering.
It's suffering. But she hums about this, thinking it over in her head.]
Why ask someone you just met to be a partner for this sort of thing, though?
no subject
[God bless holmes and his chemistry degree.]
Well, you didn't immediately express horror when I brought up the subject - and if it wasn't my old eyes playing tricks on me, you even seemed interested at the thought.
That, and I assume that the meager amount of points they allot to students in the beginning isn't enough to truly gain the 'capital' needed for a proper gambling parlor. Seeing as you obviously know enough in this area, I assumed that you had been here longer than I, and might have enough points to be willing to spare in starting this venture.
Of course, if you enter in, I will be mum on your involvement, should we be caught and found out.
no subject
[It's a plus to have someone who can help with their... water issues, since having bloody water is not great. But yes, god bless Holmes and knowing chemistry.]
Well, it just reminded me of a competition that I was in. And I don't think that most of the students would be very good at certain games. But it is true that I've been here a little longer, even if it hasn't been too long. But I certainly don't mind. There isn't any rules against it, anyway.
no subject
-Ah, but forgive me. We should exchange names, should we not? I am James Moriarty. And you, young miss?
[....Yep. Just straight fucking out.]
no subject
[She does mean that.
Although... huh. Well, it isn't the first time she's heard a name that comes from fiction, so while her eyes do widen slightly she isn't too surprised. Well, she can't confirm one way or another yet, though.]
Inaba Himeko -- 'Inaba' is fine, though.
no subject
[He gives her a polite bow - the kind a gentleman would give a woman on the street, the dramatic fuck.]
