✽ At the stoke of midnight, something shatters on the ground floor in front of the bulletin board, and the entire school goes dark: all electricity gets shut off, all flames are snuffed out, and the sky is heavily overcast to hide the moon and the stars. The only source of light are the suncatchers purchased from the student store, but even those fully charged will start to dim and go out over the next three days.
✽ Nene, Hinata, Noah, Amami, and Komaeda will smell something burning, and if they pull out their PDAs, it is hot to the touch and the casing is cracked, like something had blown from the inside, and their PDAs will not be working. For everybody else, the screen flickers when they press their thumb to their PDAs, and then goes dark again. ...
✽ If anybody was inside the main school building at midnight, I am so sorry, and for everybody else who enters the building afterwards, please watch your step. The appearance and atmosphere of the school has changed to that of the "void school" and can not be reverted upon breaking a mirror. Please refer to the aforementioned link for details about the school.
✽ As of midnight, no npcs can be found inside the school, including the library ghost, the gardener, and the cats. If a character were near an npc at midnight, it would appear as if they'd disappeared into the shadows the moment the world went dark.

??? whenever you guys solve the void

✽ 01/10 marks the beginning of the final semester, and when npc students and faculty will return to school. Of the ~260 npc students enrolled at the start of December, only ~40 npc students return to school, with the other three quarters having their names crossed off the class roster in the locker area. In light of the rapidly shrinking student body, homerooms will be consolidated by year, creating a single class for each of the first, second, and third years.
✽ The countdown in front of the bulletin board has reached zero, and the glass tube appears to have shattered and bled out onto the floor, to nobody's surprise. The mess will be cleaned up by the end of the week, and in its place is a notice for the school trip taking place next month. Please see the toplevel below for more details.
✽ The science lab is now open. Add will probably elbow people out of the way getting here, but he gets dibs on the anatomical model: it is warm to the touch, and rather than being made of plastic, the skin, muscle, bones, other organs feel very much real. He thinks they might be. The rest of the room is set up like a typical research lab, with all the basic chemicals and equipment: a refrigerator, liquid nitrogen storage tank, sonicator, incubator, autoclave, laminar flow cabinet, mass spectrometer, and a high performance liquid chromatography system.
✽ It snows on and off and the sky remains overcast with no sign of the sun all month.

✽ Please give the temporary locations page a thorough read! The most noticeable changes aside from the usual void school appearance is the scattered void, lack of electricity in both the school and the dorm, and the ability to walk off campus. The setting will remain as is until the characters figure out how to revert the change, or on 01/10, whichever comes first.
✽ PDAs will be inoperable until fixed. Tech-savvy characters may realize that the PDAs are powered through inductive charging, and the first step to getting them (also electrical appliances and hot water) to work again is to locate the generator.
✽ All npcs will be ICly unavailable until we unvoid the school.

Action: They're going to go bury their new Kazuki time capsule in the same place shin buried the one he was digging up earlier. This is their bond with Kazuki-san, please give him back!!

Kazuki, who cherishes his students' mementos from his FIRST EVER GRADUATING CLASS and all his students through the years, looking at this new box like "..."

If they revisit the tree at midnight, they'll find Kazuki underneath it with the box in his lap and items neatly laid out around him, heavy items on top of lighter ones so they don't get blown away. Going "..." as he takes things out one by one to look at.

Now he has two boxes, Shin put that other one with the ribbons in it back so it's fine. They're a special class that deserves their own box though!! Gonna ask him if he likes them, his new box items. They're for him :]

He appreciates it and expresses so, but also looks a little confused at the sentiment, because the box was never for him

He'll explain that the box was first buried by the first graduating class, and since then, each person of the graduating class has had the option to take something from the box and leave something behind for the future graduating classes. The sentiment was about sharing cherished memories, of leaving a part of themselves with the school, and finding something to take with them that would remind them of their time here, such as a keepsake from a senpai or friend who graduated before them and who they would never see again

He made this box so that his students will always be connected to one another, even if space and time and circumstance separates them, they will never be truly alone

Ohhhhhh that is so cute hello! Hello! This box was a suggestion from Komaeda-kun though, so that's not Amami's problem.

It does make him kind of curious though... If it's only graduated students who get to leave things behind in the box, Amami points out that there are some things in there, like the wooden bird or the doll with one arm, things that they have with them this year. A box of chalk or some drawings of cats, he can understand, but it seems kind of strange for there to be doubles of those... Does Kazuki know why they have those things again this year?

He doesn't know, but in the past 600+ years is it strange for more than one student to carve a wooden bird or draw cats?

the doll was kinda weird, yeah. hope fragment too. and you know who else thinks they aren't special? rokkun. but rokkun is wrong.

kazuki-san, you'd know, are rocks always a popular trend around here?

look, maybe one of the Ultimates has managed to graduate

Kazuki tries to think back about when rocks became so popular, and determines that it's been popular for quite a long time, though of course there's ups and downs throughout the years
He does remember a student way way back who was very vocal about rocks and would excitedly teach his classmates about them, though, and he supposes it's spread by word of mouth since then

It's fine Amami's paranoid enough and was right once before so he's just assuming you all are part of the loop too now. Welcome to the loop Kazuki-san.

Anyway aw, baby Arata-kun. Komaeda-kun's gonna love hearing that. Can Amami ask for storytime about Kazuki's different students through the years if he sits down with them...

he's met most of the students but mostly just by observation, not everybody speaks with him, whether because they don't have the means to or because they don't trust him or want to

Chiaki and Hikaru, our bffs!!! One of them can even see Kazuki! Narumi if we're allowed three but I understand if it gets late

He recalls how Chiaki had always gone through school seeming as if she genuinely enjoyed doing everything, every year she would join a different club and learn something different, and there was a boy she seemed to be infatuated with that she never went as far as dating but was happy enough just to chase. Chiaki always seemed to be of the opinion of "as long as I'm stuck here, I'm going to make the most of my time"

Hikaru is like Rokuro who seems to remember their time instead of forgetting with each reset, and is one that Kazuki has spoken with. When he first met Hikaru, they were covered in cuts and bruises and was snappy at everybody and kept to themselves all the time. Unlike Chiaki who's stayed pretty much the same, he says that Hikaru changed the most out of all the students he's met

Narumi is one who hasn't been here very long, but he adjusted quickly compared to other students, like he saw all the weird things going on at school and went "okay" and didn't question anything, as if blood in the water and skull monsters in the courtyard were always his normal

help she's emotional about hikaru, she's going to hug them the next time she sees them... also yes she's been lowkey clinging to/hovering by kazuki this entire time

but then, if hikaru and rokuro remember, who else does?

also Haruka but she stays in the library and only comes out to collect late fees
