♪ my class trial, our class trial ♫
Who: Everyone + Hiro if ori wants
When: January 12th, then anytime past January 15th
Where: Common Room
What: please let's wake steph and also maybe prove miyuki innocent if he really is
Warnings: tbd
[there is no gentle way to do this on the pda.
but you know what that is perfectly fine they were doing CSI rp earlier what's one more--]
All hands, round up.
Think we've got as much as we can right now, so let's settle in and work it out -- together. Come to the usual meet-up spot as soon as you can, and we're not leaving until the perp's worked out. Bring your own joe and a wit sharp as can be, because we are in for the long haul.
Detective Akamatsu, signing out.
[...
a-anyway.
meng yao's done his best to preserve one (1) stephanie meanswell and she's currently laying on the couch in a state some may find familiar and others not at all, but she's very much alive -- if barely. have your shock and surprise, this is going to be once all evidence is collected icly. also after noah and kaede make a grave for miss vp god rest her soul.
...
hiro is allowed to be here, if he wants, if only because part of this is his sister's death and one of y'all had BETTER take care of him.
there are no snacks, no drinks unless you byoj (bring your own joe), and kaede will wait until... all or presumably all are filed in before she speaks.]
I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.
[please. even the most unbelievable, impossible happenings have roots to them, and she wants it solved -- not just for hiro's sake, who's pain is something she can barely imagine, but for stephanie and the vice principal, too.]

( is that shin saying in kinder words to not murder, aw, how sweet, he doesn't want komaeda getting into any trouble. )
Hmm...
( he looks towards kaede, nodding slow as he lifts one hand to his chin to think over the information. they're not the same, huh... then they suffered two different types of death, or unless this was a talented magic death, he'll glance down at the floor. )
Splotchy... this is quite the conundrum, there's nothing wrong with testing Hiyori-kun's idea, it'll waste time if it doesn't work, but it's best to cross it off the list.
( not the sort of splotches that come from being near a fire either? huh... thoughtful... )

I'd thought sunburn but... that would be more uniform, wouldn't it?
[As far as his experience goes. Sure, some parts may be peeling or blistered, but anywhere that was caught in the light is suffering at that point. Which again, makes the fact it's under her clothes if Natsume's right even weirder. He's not going to start up that topic of conversation any time soon though.]
Looks like we're back at square one...
no subject
[they're more on the back burner than anything, but still.]
For example, we know now that Arisu-san may have been taken by surprise, and that while her and the Vice Principal's deaths are connected in a way thanks to that note left by one of them to the other, they have two diverse causes to them. Stephanie-san is awake and well, though her mystery is another story entirely along with Sportacus-sensei's, we're still closer to the truth than when we first stepped into this room.
[and bit by bit, step by step, that truth will be revealed.]
So don't be disheartened, Hiyori-kun. We're just getting started.

[She's sure got those protagonist vibes, huh. He's a bit soured on let's work together and we'll get through this style speeches hearing them in the face of dwindling numbers... It's the kind of thing that's easy to say rather than actually have happen.
But she's like Sara in that respect, her words seem to have an effect on people, dangerous as that makes her. Like with being calmed down while frantically trying to find help for a dying Narumi, he can let it work on him this much. She's not wrong, either...]
There's still more evidence to discuss too... You saw the network post about her, right? There were shortish hairs in each location, orange in the Vice Principal's office and blonde in the student council room. It's real hair, as well... Not from a wig.
[Ruling out Ranger.]
Convenient, don't you think?
no subject
[in fact, going by
the taken pagelooks alone for real hair...... it's an exact split of 3-3 on orange and blond, albeit with some length differences. herself included.]
I wouldn't count on the length as much as color though. It's possible that much has been modified... but it definitely gives us a lead in some direction, whether it ends up eliminating suspects or adding to them. They could've been placed there to frame someone, but we should go through the possibilities one by one.
no subject
[He's going to wait until Komaeda drifts off out of earshot for this one. He knows him. He'd instantly cause chaos with this one.]
Ahaha, it was an exact match for Miyuki. Haven't had time to check the orange one... but there's only so many people it could be.
[Childe, Subaru, Sara and Natsume.]
The fact that the student council room was cleaned only makes it odder...
[Why not get rid of the hammer and hair, if they're genuine hints? Was there no time, since it had to have been not too long before discovery if the blood was still dripping. It also means Miyuki has less of a leg to stand on in terms of prior presence...]
no subject
and i was right.
anyway, he doesn't know what they're talking about, not going to ask, because he's watching natsume from afar to make sure he's alright.
he'll listen, though... )
no subject
...shit. This might actually make his case worse, but. ]
When I went to the student council room earlier today, before Hiyori showed up... the door was locked. I'm not entirely sure if the room can be locked from the inside, so either the person in question did try to flee through the window, or they have President Arisu's key.
[ Which, puts the suspicion back on him. ]
no subject
There wasn't any sign of the windows being opened... which doesn't mean they weren't. Maya's key was still on her... which means if they didn't have one that's their only method. The crawlspaces don't go to that room, after all. Ahaha, it'd be strange if it was the Vice Principal who did it, wouldn't it?
[Nailed Maya to the ceiling, then jumped out the window... but it doesn't make a lot of sense.]
That said, without knowing if anyone else in the student council is missing their keys... it's kinda useless.
[This absolutely feels very deliberately done... which means planning and theft could have been done in advance.]
no subject
The Vice Principal didn't have any keys at all on her body when I checked, [don't judge it's a death game thing,] which... seems a little weird, doesn't it? You'd think a faculty member, especially someone that high up, would have a key for pretty much any room in school.
no subject
[Just like a video game, you go for the item with the best stats... He kind of hates that's the first thing that came to mind. It's absolutely a death game thing don't worry about it. He can't talk, with his pockets full of evidence.]
That's assuming she was in the room at the time... but it makes sense.
[It's all kind of coming together, slowly. If they met in the student council room, whatever burning event happened there and was cleaned up, and then one was pushed and the other was nailed up to the ceiling... but what actually killed Maya, if killing an ordinary student's shadow just gives them migraines? He's hung up on this point.]
Strange, isn't it... why one was pushed and the other was nailed up.
no subject
[it's. a very pointed way to kill someone, or to leave someone's body anyway.]
Wouldn't just... killing her be good enough? Why wasn't it? What made them want to do something so horrific to her instead? [she shakes her head, frowning in frustration.] That might be why the Vice Principal got off easier, in a sense.
[being the president of the student council must come with some level of threat in this school, though kaede herself doesn't know just how much. it just feels like it would.]
no subject
She had... told me that just by being in the student council, you have a target on your back. Be it through disagreements with school policy or wanting to open up a spot. I'm fairly certain the reason I even made it in was because someone hadn't done well on their test.
[ Which, ugh. What a strict, horrifying system. ]
I don't know of anyone in the student body, or as a member of the faculty that Arisu would have had issues with. [ A pause. ] For that matter, even if they did... how many of them would even have the ability to do something like that? That's what I don't understand.
No matter what kind of disagreement, no matter how you feel about someone-- it's not worth it. Especially not in such a disgusting manner.
