♪ my class trial, our class trial ♫
Who: Everyone + Hiro if ori wants
When: January 12th, then anytime past January 15th
Where: Common Room
What: please let's wake steph and also maybe prove miyuki innocent if he really is
Warnings: tbd
[there is no gentle way to do this on the pda.
but you know what that is perfectly fine they were doing CSI rp earlier what's one more--]
All hands, round up.
Think we've got as much as we can right now, so let's settle in and work it out -- together. Come to the usual meet-up spot as soon as you can, and we're not leaving until the perp's worked out. Bring your own joe and a wit sharp as can be, because we are in for the long haul.
Detective Akamatsu, signing out.
[...
a-anyway.
meng yao's done his best to preserve one (1) stephanie meanswell and she's currently laying on the couch in a state some may find familiar and others not at all, but she's very much alive -- if barely. have your shock and surprise, this is going to be once all evidence is collected icly. also after noah and kaede make a grave for miss vp god rest her soul.
...
hiro is allowed to be here, if he wants, if only because part of this is his sister's death and one of y'all had BETTER take care of him.
there are no snacks, no drinks unless you byoj (bring your own joe), and kaede will wait until... all or presumably all are filed in before she speaks.]
I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.
[please. even the most unbelievable, impossible happenings have roots to them, and she wants it solved -- not just for hiro's sake, who's pain is something she can barely imagine, but for stephanie and the vice principal, too.]

What do I have to apologize for? Everything I've said is a statement of fact. If anything, I deserve an apology for implying my involvement and misrepresenting my skills.
no subject
How does your manipulation of gravity work, Add-kun? I'll give a full apology if you can explain it to me -- don't worry about losing me in the middle of it, I might not understand it entirely but I won't doubt your word.
[she has a point to make.]
no subject
Ranger's just been kind of hanging around listening to what people are saying, but he's coming closer now because he wants to hear this explanation too. Science. ]

( akamatsu-san??? )
no subject
[it's not like she looks at something or hears it and goes oh, i know exactly how this is! she takes the time to understand it by listening to others and how they play it.]
That's how people are supposed to communicate: we do our best and we keep our eyes, ears, and minds open.
no subject
( anyone would help an ultimate. )
When you don't know something, ask for clarification. Don't listen until the end, and not fully understand. He would break it down piece by piece for you.
no subject
[look how helpful you are when you don't bully people younger than you]
no subject
Good, have fun with Add-kun.
( stop, he's looking for the next kid to bully looks @ miyuki )
no subject
[ Peanut gallery over here smh. ]

I'll be happy to have it, but I won't force it out of him. Something tells me he'd just stick his heels in more...

[ Get your dynamo out from under the table, boy!! You're making Sara look bad!! ]
There's a lot of really annoying boys like this around, Akamatsu-san. I don't want them to bully you...ah...I mean unless thats kind of weird to say? [ Are we friends? Can she defend you like one of her friends? Akamatsu seems pretty put together to be honest, but it's a bit of a habit Sara has picked up by now. ] Sorry if I've gotten overly familiar. I know the way I talk can be a little weird.
no subject
[she's always easier on girls... boys are another thing entirely, but kaede seems perfectly fine with sara. it helps she's absolutely drop-dead gorgeous.]
I've definitely felt more at ease with you around, especially at night.
my own clone
[ Her memories might be fuzzy in places but she remembers not having any idea how to approach people, until some of them came to her first. Things have been a lot easier since coming to Yogen... Dangerous situations plainly seem to make people more friendly! ]
Well...feel free to call me Sara then! Chidouin is such a mouthful when we'll be living together. [ It would be like a married couple still calling eachother by their last names! ] Yeah, thanks for giving me a bed. Have you been sleeping okay lately?
[ Because...the last two nights Sara heard Akamatsu leave the room around midnight. She wouldn't worry but...well she gets nightmares, and maybe Kaede does too. If she's sneaking out for Sara's sake, she shouldn't! ]
your very own
the question takes a second to register why she'd ask before she gasps a little, hand over her mouth as she glances at amami -- he seems like he hadn't heard, she shouldn't be thankful for that -- and then shakes her head with an apologetic smile. this conversation isn't relevant to the murder so kaede'll scoot closer to talk, so others can do their discussion and she can keep an ear out.]
Oh, um, I'm sorry for worrying you Chi-- Sara-san. I've been resting well, thank you, though now I've got to ask if you're doing alright yourself.
no subject
[ Sara-san makes her think of Sou...so really please just call her by her first name!
Sara follows Kaede's eye's to Amami...no...it couldn't be. That lonely scoundrel!! He is hot, and Kaede is cute, but come on! ]
It's okay if you have something to do at night. [ Like perhaps....a partner!? A romantic tryst in the night? ] I don't mind. I'm a restless sleeper, so if you want the room to yourself, just say the word.
[ Wink. ]
no subject
kaede doesn't know what sara's on about with amami and their room, but she can at least reassure her roomie this:]
Oh, no, don't worry about it! I'm planning on moving us to the music room proper soon, so I won't be leaving until after midnight anyway. You won't hear a thing.

im sorry but this is peace's fault
but also, he wants his fucking apology and refuses to back down from being challenged, so
Add sighs, then a large purple holoscreen flickers into existence next to Dynamo. please just assume it gradually fills up with more and more incomprehensible equations and cool looking diagrams that probably support what he's saying, maybe.]
Gravity is a product of the physical masses of interacting objects, so to alter the gravitational force applied to or produced by any one object we would need to alter the mass of one or both objects, or the properties of gravity being applied between them... attempting to alter the pull of something as large as a planet would be incredibly energy-inefficient, so instead a field is created that can contains altered spatiotemporal properties. El energy produced by high-quality moonstones is capable of vibrating at the frequencies necessary for this procedure, using this equation to distort the surrounding environmental El and creating a microscopic hole into the adjacent dimensional plane of Henir—or void, as most of you would be more familiar with. Gravitational forces produced by objects created within Henir have incredibly volatile properties, so by combining Henir energies with pure El energies as a stabilizer we can apply just enough Henir to negate the target's normal interactions with physical mass, as if they were an object of Henir... bear in mind that "negate the target's normal interactions" doesn't necessarily mean they have to be weightless, we can also use the same field to greatly amplify the perceived weight of a target, or to switch the direction of gravitational pull towards the centre of the produced field. A similar effect can also be produced by concentrating large amounts of El into a singular point, which creates a miniature black hole... of course, such a mass is difficult to maintain for more than a handful of seconds at a time, especially if it's calculated to apply a large amount of force on surrounding objects. Komaeda's arm has been outfitted with such a device, so ask him if you want a demonstration.
Is that a sufficient explanation, or should I attempt to dumb it down further?
no subject
You've been a big baby this whole time about what you're doing being called magic, and now you wanna say gravity is caused by vibrating moonstones? [hi bestie]

Right, so what you're saying is that it's just physics.
[ This explanation seems like a waste of time that accomplishes nothing in terms of the goal, but it's pretty cool anyway. ]

I have low expectations for humans, but if it's a perfect machine... kukuku, if you want a lesson later, I don't mind. Nasods perfected simpler methods for levitation a long time ago, I'd be interested to see how a different model approaches the task...
no subject
Really? Yeah, that'd be great. We haven't observed the phenomenon you mentioned, but it sounds simple enough, so I'm sure I could pick it up.
[ Wouldn't be much of an AI if he couldn't, really. ]
