I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--

So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.

He wouldn't do it 'cause he wouldn't be able to touch it anyway. The one Macchi penned her name to was for people in her position only... Ama-chan takes risks, but not like that.

Yuki-chan? Miyuki? You could be right but...Unfortunately something Maya said implied killing her might bypass the student council requirement. So forgive me ​Subaru, following my logic, I think that makes you our most likely suspect.

There's so much about this trial I don't get, so forgive me if I ignore a lot of facts I can't make sense of. But lets see what I do know: Maya tells you about her contract. You tell Amami, he asks me about it through his wishlist, I find out a little, Maya ends up dead.

[ She looks to see if he nods along with her recreation of events, and then continues. ]

So, say that killing Maya really might let someone earn a wish...

[ She doesn't want to say it, because being wrong will make this a horrible accusation. She probably isn't even right, but its just a theory. She doesn't have any proof, and maybe Subaru will laugh in her face and refute her. ]

Just around December, Tenshu had been saying a lot of concerning things...and he said both you and Amami-san were working on something to save them. I know it sounds weird, but--I...if you killed to protect them, could you tell me? Or could you tell me I'm wrong?

rather than laugh in her face though, he seems a little surprised. and then he looks away, down at his hands and bites his lips. they trusted her with that much, showed a little piece they try to hide from everyone else and all. subaru rolls it around in his mind -- it's not that he can't see where she's coming from, her line of events works out and the like, but he just doesn't think it's right. simple as that.

I'd... I would tell you if it was to protect them, yeah. That doesn't mean Ama-chan would, 'cause we're just different enough, but I would. Ama-chan stopped the guy trying to impersonate Clamor-san for Boss's sake too, back in September, though he was weirdly roundabout with it.

[though, in turn, subaru sought to put it in the same light, to ease the anger and hurt and blowback that amami'd receive. but only because of the circumstances, maybe it'd be different if the situation was like this. he rubs at his left sleeve idly, glancing up at sara again.]

I get where you're comin' from, Sasara. But I don't think Miss VP was killed that much before Macchi, so there'd be no way for him to get in unless he was right behind 'em -- and he hates fire magic ever since that faker, too, so I don't think he'd use it. There's not a lot of ways to burn people otherwise, unless you make a flamethrower, I guess.

That's what I'm worried about. I'm still in the dark, but they're someone in danger right now, and that could spur people to action. You two are both working to protect them...Maya had a wish. Your hair is at the crime scene...

[ So it could be that he would. That he might. Sara hopes she's right in her thinking that Subaru is the type to confess. Or at least to hide his feelings behind positivity. This didn't feel like that. If it was a lie, then Sara supposes she could never trust the truth again. ]

I'm really worried Subaru... I think you would tell me, but there's a lot of evidence against you. I'm really not good at this. But um...I think it does help. Because thats the only motive I can think of for why you'd kill a friend like Maya, and I think you'd at least be honest about it if I asked. As for Amami...I'll just have to ask him myself.

In a theoretical sense, you're right. I had access to the student council room, my hairs were found at the scene of the crime, and I've been unable to do anything about this. So then, what's your connection, Akehoshi?

As far as I know, that's about right. That being said, it's less about you being there in the first place. You don't need to go in for your hair to appear.
