I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.

While his methods tend to be on par with Nagito-kun's in terms of how much I agree with THEM, he at least thinks two steps ahead; he doesn't seem like the type of person who likes getting others involved eiTHER. ( he acts like a real freak ngl ) Interrogating him a few months ago was a CHORE... I don't care that it was necessary to lead us along by the nose—it was the single most irritating chat of my LIFE, and I talk to Nagito-kun every DAY.

The little wolf didn't tell anyone about her conTRACT. Baru-kun mentioned it during that meeting that went off the RAILS, but she never spoke a word about IT. The only people who would know otherwise are those who've held the position beFORE. ( which is none of their number, unsurprisingly. ) HonestLY, rather than using the contract as a potential moTIVE, it's more likely they just hated HER, or someone connected to HER. Like you said—it's a lot of effort in order to kill someONE.
( and, well. it's not like she gave the time of day to just anyone at all. )
They could've even considered she was doing a poor job at being the president or something like THAT... Or maybe they were criminally inSANE, and thought that killing her would inspire us to greater HEIGHTS.

I think even the most insane among us wouldn't need to display her like that for a source of inspiration. But the rest of what you said bears much merit.
