it sits completely still, unwavering, but as she inspects it, she'll find that it's wearing the familiar school uniform. drenched from shoulder to toe, there's nothing invisible where the head should be, and the neck, if she peers down will see complete darkness. it's hard to tell whether it's a smooth surface, or if there's a neverending darkness that she can stick his hand into. she'll have to check if she's curious.
...
poking the arm, she'll find that the body is soft like any other human body would be.
it doesn't recognize the voice so he doesn't move yet, but that doesn't mean he's not waiting for her to do something of interest to draw his attention. ]
[ But of course it doesn't recognize her voice, there's no ears!
For a moment, she wonders if this would've been one of the students that Lucifer kept in stasis, but she feels like the head wouldn't have gone far. Or, really... the body wouldn't be hollowed out and empty. Or is it empty?
...
Well. She's curious. Bonnie decides to very carefully try to take his hand and lift his arm. ]
Hmmm... nothing up your sleeve...
[ She didn't look. But she's trying to bring said hand over to the hole to lead it inside. Presto? ]
[ her interest is enough, when she tries to move his arm, it does not budge, like it's stuck in place. could he be one of the stasis students given that he won't move, a person shouldn't mishandle the body of someone trapped in time. in one of lucifer's murders, he did use a spell in order to keep a body from bleeding so that no one would be sent to the void, so maybe it's the same with this one.
perhaps she should walk off somewhere to get something to jab inside, because the arms won't, nor will anything else move aside from his clothes.
but if she does turn her back, then the magic happens. ]
After the initial tug, she hums to herself. Okay, so nothing doing there. If he really is in stasis, then that's bad. But also, there's no fleshy stump where his neck is, so that means there's something happening here!
Hmm. It's a school dormitory, there should be a ruler or some kind of stick she can use-- ]
Okay, Mr. Body! Wait right there, please!
[ Right, then it is time to turn her back and figure out where to look for something... ]
how cute wait right there, it's all he can do actually until he finds a reason to move. he listens to the movement of her steps, and once he's got the feeling that he's not seen, considering she's looking for something— the body moves.
the hand lifts from his side, and there's something which has been digging into his leg. a rock, about the size of his palm, and he picks it up to gently set it on the table before him without sound, his nail drags against the surface of it, and there's something written he leaves behind.
whenever bonnie comes back, she'll see the rock on the table, and the words: OFFERING written. if she looks back at the body, it sits still the same way she left it. ]
[ She's come back with a ruler, just to see that something had changed-- just slightly. OFFERING... hm.
How odd. It wouldn't surprise her if the dorms were haunted, or if this was just a prank-playing dullahan. Regardless, she does pick up the rock and look at it a bit, tossing it up a couple times as she looks back at the body.
Hmmmmmmmm. ]
Gosh, I appreciate this, but I can't buy anything with rocks.
[ If you're going to offer something, then offer it with money! As it is, she heads right over and is just. Going to dispense of the rock right into the body. Maybe this thing eats rocks?? ]
[ ah, she could have brought him an offering, but that doesn't seem to be the case as his hand reaches up to grab the rock before it falls into the inside of his body. there's no need to do that when he's dumped out water already, and he doesn't find himself interested in having rocks rattling around inside of him.
she's gained a reaction.
with the rock in hand, he sets it back down on the coffin with a soft clunk, and the body turns to face (despite not having a face) her properly.
with his hand, he makes the gesture of writing which is him asking for both a pen and paper. ]
[ Ohhh, he wanted an offering. She probably would've given him an eraser or something, so maybe this is for the best. Bonnie still gasps, surprised that it moved!
And... ah, wants to write something down. Why didn't he just say so? ]
Okay! Let's see, let's see....
[ She walks away momentarily to her basket, shuffling around as she keeps her eyes right on it this time around. When she emerges, she's got a notebook and a pen, placing it directly in front of the body. ]
Here you go! Gosh, I've never spoken to someone without a head before.
Why would it? If there's nothing there, nothing hurts.
[ it's the same logic of if you cut off your arm, where will the pain be? in your arm, but there's no arm so it shouldn't hurt. it's funny logic, meant to be humerus! a little fun never hurts, and his fingers continue in their efforts to write something else, and once he finds what will be the best response. ]
Everyone should be able to do this, but if not, in due time!
[ if their bodies were modified for it. sadly, this means he's talking to someone with a normal, human appearance. he feels comforted by this fact, all because he loves humans. ]
You should tell me what's fun here to do, I like to keep myself busy!!
Mmm, I guess it's true. I figured not having a head would be a pain in the neck, though!
[ She giggles at her own silly joke, and she eyes his next comment. Everyone should be able to? Hmm, she wouldn't know how she'd feel about it, but... ]
Oh, quite a bit! There are school clubs to join, you can attend classes, oh, and every so often, somebody winds up dead and you can help us find the killer! If there even is one.
now if he had his head, he's laugh, but considering he does not have it — it's just a still body, no movement, and then he writes his laugher on the sheet of paper. it's consecutive w's, until a smiley face is written right after. ]
This location doesn't feel like one.
[ that's because he didn't go everywhere to search, and now he's dry because of the fire, but he does know that he was in a pool before. it's interesting due to what's here for them to do, and there's something about... classes, school, finding a killer.
[ Oh, good good. She spent all of two seconds coming up with that joke! She's successfully become friends with a beheaded body, and she couldn't be happier!
Although, when presented with the question, she hums in thought. ]
Mmm... I suppose not. It's fun to shake people around and force them to confess, but everything else... like clues and all of the back and forth talking... it's so boring!
[ She'd rather be out there cracking skulls than taking notes! ]
[ that would be boring, where is the fun in that. the body remains still, and then with a bit of movement to write the rest of his thoughts. he turns it upside down so that she can read it properly. ]
Why not make it fun then!!
[ it doesn't sound too fun when all they do is talk, and the body has been there, and done that. now he's able to pass on his knowledge to someone who can actually use it for good. ]
Playing games with the evidence isn't so bad! Watching them shake down others could be amusing. As long as you control what happens, what do you think?
[ Don't they already have a guy who does that? That's more Koko's job, isn't it?
...hmmmm. Actually. ]
Gosh, you know, I have a few ideas. Something to liven up the next 'investigation'! If it takes forever next time, I'll just have to fill the room with my own brand of cheer!
[ koko was trying to help, whereas midori wants to be little help as possible because it's fun! their lives are but a game to him, and that's why he can say this so easily.
with a spirited personality for a headless doll, it looks safe and harmless! ]
Oh! That sounds dangerous...
[ which means that's lovely! ]
Whatever that method may be, I think it'll be a delight! You must see to it! What counts as "takes forever"?

Ahaha! Now you'll be a natural. As long as you learn Morse and Sign, you can communicate!

Had your fun?
