( so, it's like this: nobody likes komaeda.
well, it seems that way a lot of the time, from what norton's observing, and the unfortunate fact of the matter? no matter how absolutely off-his-rocker insane he's been acting, he... well, real or not, he didn't seem to be a bad guy in those memories norton has of him. try as he might, he can't simply act as though they don't exist either. so instead, with a sigh of defeat and an important date that he'd learned in those strange memories in mind, he'll go about collecting those who seem to be... more tolerant (even if that's a generous way to express it) of komaeda lately.
he's already arranged for the most reliable chef he's yet to meet in this school to help by preparing a birthday cake, (and learned quite a bit in the process, actually,) and he's let the others know where they should gather. so, when norton decides it's about time to drag komaeda to the survival club's meeting room for some kind of survival club-related excuse of a reason, there should hopefully already be at least a couple of people there and waiting for them—including one boy holding a white cat who may or may not look a little out of his element.
his voice is soft, but as the cake and the small collection of people he's managed to gather come into view, norton offers a smile. )

It is less of 'deserving' and more that they must come to understand. Your methods are stark - they demand a certain response, but you cannot ask someone not ready for it to be able to provide that.

( he points to them now that he's hand them over, and it's only a few that he stole which can probably be fitted back into place... maybe. if not, maya's going to throw a fit, but as long as she doesn't know who did it, it really doesn't matter how they were taken from the piano. )

( he may have changed the entire topic of the conversation, but it seems that his thoughts are leading him somewhere specific. while he's not going to agree that he's changed his mind, because he probably didn't, he sure will continue a lot so that they don't remain stuck on the same topic. ) I can find something else to use.

( it's not him starting an argument, but instead, it's more him curious despite what the books have told him — things could have played differently, and the outcomes could match with the spins off or something. there's various works that comes to the story he's heard of, and it makes him wonder. )
The type of people we are, if we tell everything, wouldn't that ruin the point of why we do these things...
( that's mostly said to himself, but moriarty will surely hear it because of how close they are. komaeda shakes his head as he looks off to the side, and with a hand on his own hip as he manages to keep his smile. )

[Or did he? He knows his truth, but so much of it was lost, due to Holmes telling his Watson to not reveal some things to the public.
Still, the boy has a point - people like them never tell the truth of what they are doing, keeping their mad schemes to themselves, their true intentions...Though Komaeda is much more forthcoming with his own reasons, at least.

( if he got caught already without even doing anything, then it's his luck at work that's making things unfortunate. had he been able to get away with his idea, he would have had the piano wire up, and who ever managed to get caught in its trap would just have to figure their way out. it's like falling into the web of a spiders, and the more the struggle the worst it'd cut into their skin. )
...But it doesn't matter if something good will come in the future.
( he sounds positive though, his voice lighthearted as he looks at the other who stares at him. if this is about komaeda's luck still, it works in mysterious ways that he's unable to show the other yet. ) I'm just that unlucky it wouldn't happen now...
