MARCH EVENT LOG
At midnight on March 1st, a rolling lightning storm hits Yogen. Thunder crackles, and strikes of Anvil Crawler lighting can be seen lighting up the sky; anyone paying attention to the courtyard may see the explosive strike of lightning hitting the wisteria tree. Petals scatter throughout the air and are carried off in every direction by the wind...
As the month goes on the school will start to look even more barren. As the month goes on, several students start to disappear, with rumors spreading here and there about students disappearing after entering the forest. Those rumors twist and warp, and within just a few days there are rumors of a witch in the forest. But it's not a witch, nor a ghost, or anything else, but a dream, and those who enter will find themselves reminded of such by a soothing voice, the voice of a person they're familiar with, speaking gently in their ears:
"You are dreaming... They have always led and will always lead you here... Remind yourself, this is a dream..."
The world shifts subtly. There are gravestones marking the pathway now, and before long the forest is replaced by a completely new scene. A voice reminds you once more that this is a dream, and that you have always been here. You have always been led to this place. But where is this place? It's the world of a player character. It's nothing more than a snapshot in time. It might be one that they wish to escape, or perhaps a warm memory of a time that they wish to return to, but it is always an important memory to the character.
Whichever it is, the only way is to move forward. As characters move through the memory, characters will soon notice a snake and holly tattoo that spreads over their body will be. It starts small, a clump on one's back, but will spread across all parts of a character's body. It will reach the neck and face last, killing them upon reaching the eyes. As the curse spreads, they will notice changes in the dream including hallucinations, hearing lullabies, and shades that pursue them. They will also notice increased exhaustion and lethargy.
Upon reaching the end of the memory, they will find a glowing ball of light representative of a lost student's soul. Finding the soul will lead to both characters awakening at the edge of the forest, and the character who had been dreaming will be covered with the tattoo for a brief moment before it disappears.
Those who entered the dream may hear that same voice from before that tugs at their mind as the dream fades away:
"Remind yourself, this is a dream, and soon you will awaken. But you are here, as you always have been, and as you always will be... Soon, you will wonder where you were, and each moment after, will bring you here..."

Those who entered the dream may hear that same voice from before that tugs at their mind as the dream fades away:
✽ Dreams may be whoelsale memories, or they may be more akin to dreamscapes based on a person's memories or mental state.
✽ The holly pattern represents the pain of love and aches of the heart, while the snake represents the yearning for the dead that consume a person.
✽ The tattoos will be blue or red.
✽ Characters may be drawn into the forest more than once, or require multiple memories to be gone through before reappearing. In those cases, the character who had gone through the initial memory will simply wake up in the forest alone.
✽ Characters who hear the voice upon leaving the dream will be more susceptible to entering and being lost in the forest.
✽ Anyone who is not rescued by the end of the month will be found at the edge of the forest. The tattoo will cover their body and stop just short of their eyes. It will disappear within an hour, but they will be exhausted for the rest of the day.

[ She has to turn her whole body to get her good arm at an angle to bat his hand away. Don't suddenly reach for her face like that! ]
But how could I say it could have been better...? Sou didn't deserve to die either. Kanna... It was still worse. I broke something...I stepped on someone's feelings. Would she have forgiven me if I'd gone against her hearts wishes?
[ The idea of Kanna swearing revenge with the same fervor is hard to conjure, but who knows. Anything could happen. The rose studded void is slowly filled with more sounds, a gradual dripping, the soft sound of someone crying in the distance. Sara grimaces, eyes still barely looking at Midori as she stares forward. ]

[ their feelings, yes, but what about her feelings that no one else thinks of? why would they care when the role she was thrown into was for them to place their actions, desires, and pain on? ]
I wouldn't be mad at you for your choice, Sara.
[ with the smell of blood thicker, it doesn't stop there as he lowers his hand to allow his fingers to lace between her own. he takes a step forward, pulling her along gently.
his hands are warm. ]
Be happy.
[ it's with a gentle hum, and an eager smile because while she wallows in her sadness, he takes the other approach that must be hard for her. ]
Only I can understand your impatience of wanting someone to understand. I do, let's appreciate your decision together, shall we? You'll never get used to it if you keep looking away. Everyone else will lie to your face, say things like they can't forgive you... it's because they want you to feel bad, they want someone to blame, but they're happy they didn't have to decide.
[ a sigh. ]
Isn't that cruel?

[ Her eyes snap to his. There's a second, while his hand is warm and he's dragging her forward like a dance partner. A second where he says...well...everything she didn't know she wanted. That it was okay...when so much of herself was built around it never being okay. That she should be happy, when the only way Sara knew how to keep others happy was view herself on a shorter and shorter leash. That he understood, when nobody understood. Who had ever said that to her? Who had cared too? Why had she waited nearly a year, and nobody told her anything like that?
It twists, the bitter string of resentment she'd always tried to ignore, as inevitable as a bear trap around her leg. His words are warm, his hands are warm and and...
It twists, sharp enough she can be aware of it. The shadow of the great rose plant is already looming beside them, infinitely tall with its many branches, its single fruit, but Sara has to stop cold, dragging Midori back with her. She has to think. She can't feel this way. She can't...let someone else twist her up like this. ]
I n-need to stop hating myself...
[ There's an edge of panic to her words. Her eyes are all Midori's now. She needs to stop, because if hating herself means she wants to hear something like this. Hating herself means the only balm might be Midori, who she doesn't know she should listen to. Hating herself meant...hating other people. Being herself might mean it to. She needs to stop, she needs to find another way. ]
It feels like its all my fault. [ Everything he says she wants to be true, she can't let it be true. It's too confusing. This is a dream, so she can't help the way her thoughts spill out unbidden. ] Don't use that... It's not fair. When I hate myself, I resent everyone else. They all left me alone to make those choices. If I could forgive myself, I could forgive them.

he wants his words to dig into her thoughts, rattle her brain around until the infection hits. the truth is, midori is nothing but the cure for what sara needs for those "bad habits" as people would see them. ]
What reason do you need to be forgiven? You haven't done anything wrong.
[ his eyes look up to the plant, familiar in its design, the uses that it has... so it was used— the human flower that stands high before them was met, and sara faced it personally, but luckily for her not intimately. midori smiles, turning towards sara as a hand settles under her chin, making sure she looks in his direction. with a soothing and gentle "shhh", he shakes his head. ]
They made you hate yourself, but they didn't understand... now did they? They weren't in your shoes... so they feel better than you... when that is simply not the case.
[ that's nasty of them isn't it because they don't have the blood on their hands... he releases his grip on her chin, though gentle enough she could have pulled away. midori makes it to sara's hands, wrapping his fingers around her own with a soft hum, thoughtful in his actions as he leads her forward. this beauty of a kill must have been done by her, because no one else could make the decision. ]
How do you feel, Sara? Knowing that you're better than them, that you're more capable of withstanding such actions that they couldn't dream of? ...As long as you kill for them, they'll accept you, but it shouldn't be like that... you shouldn't be used by them... you should do everything for yourself.
[ because who is willing to do for her like she is for them? hmmmm. ]
