[ The forest has vanished, forgotten for the moment, and it leaves Alice in the hallway mere steps from where Miyuki stands. The dream fills in blanks to forestall as it pleases, clearing away Alice's perplexed expression. Instead, his brows draw together. The corners of his mouth turn downward.

There he is... Upperclassman Miyuki Shirogane, a scoundrel with a heart of stone.

In a few strides, Alice has reached Miyuki to block his way — so the cruel fiend thought to flee by graduating, did he?! Graduation may indeed be approaching, nearer and nearer, but that day hasn't arrived just yet. Enough time remains... ]

Student Council Member Miyuki Shirogane! Not another step!

[ One arm outstretched, Alice points at Miyuki as though he has him cornered at last. ]

Is it true? You didn't receive any of my requests?!

"One of Miyuki's fierce rivals, Alice Yabusame appears before him! Someone with the courage to stand up to the evil student council member."

Wh-wait, evil?!

[ He recognizes Yabusame all the same, but where the hell did this come from? And how come he's the evil guy here?!

Clearing his throat, a sentence forms in Miyuki's head. ]

I don't believe so. Er, were they important?

[ If there was some kinda request, he should've gotten to it right away. Right? But no, he's pretty sure he hadn't seen anything like that. ]

[ For his part, Alice doesn't question the disembodied voice, unfazed and unwavering. That's right. This rivalry of theirs won't end even if his adversary graduates. How could it, after months upon months of eloquent petitions, all of them in vain!

Though Alice lowers his hand, it soon forms a fist. ]

Playing dumb, are you?! Don't act so innocent! But I should have expected it from so evil a student council member...

[ Or could it be possible that Miyuki Shirogane isn't feigning ignorance, that he simply thinks certain requests far beneath him?! "Were they important" — what a thing to ask! The more Alice thinks about it, the more likely it seems that his petitions were either discarded, unread, or they were turned away before they could reach the student council at all. ]

Miyuki Shirogane... It's plain to see that your soul lacks stripes! Why else would you be content to wear the school uniform in its current state?!

[ Miyuki just... stares at Alice a bit dumbfounded. What the hell does that even mean?! ]

"What the hell does that even mean?!, thinks the villainous student. Of course, Miyuki had his own personal reasons for wanting his uniform to remain the same."

[ This time, he bites his tongue. Again, being painted in the role of being a villain. As much as he searched his mind, there was only one real reason he was content to hold onto his uniform, but even that was outside of his usual reasons. ]

What's so bad about the school's uniform? It's comfortable and practical! For that matter-- isn't it a good thing if my soul's stripeless?

[ Doesn't that mean he's not a criminal?! ]

[ Such a villainous student, with reactions to match! The disembodied voice is truly all-knowing, and it must be working hard to expose Miyuki Shirogane's evil plotting — no doubt the plain and conventional school uniform forced upon every student is part of that scheme.

Alice clicks his tongue, shaking his head in disgust. This ends here. It must! ]

A stripeless soul is far from good. It reflects your inner emptiness, so it's no surprise that you've embraced villainy! Now I see why you accept the status quo... Like a uniform designed to be drab, you would suffocate our hearts!
