You bring up some good points. It really is strange that we transfer students are treated so differently. Do you think this might be some kind of judgment or test for normal students? I mean, it is hinted to be already but it feels harsher to the other students. We usually come back if we die right?

[He frowned in concern when he heard the breaks. It makes sense that they would be left alone since school breaks do mostly abandon schools on those days. But what happens after is worrying. He could see why some people were concerned about next month.]

I see...Was this alternative version of school like the mirror world? Or was it different?

Not to mention the last meeting--ugh. She can't help but crease her brow at the thought.]

So it's not something that's different because we're transfer students. Not to mention that I've heard from another source that we can supposedly graduate as well...but I'm not so sure if graduation should be trusted to begin with. Besides, I think that this is all a test to begin with. Why make it a school otherwise? Although I do think that it's strange that some of us are here in the first place... I wonder if that's the "transfer" part of it. Because like, some of us don't even need to go to school in the first place. We have some people here who are adults, some people who have basically graduated high school. Why repeat what's already been said and done for them? Why are we in this weird old timey year in the first place? And more importantly: why is it that the ones that get rewarded the most are the assholes that commit murder?

It was a little different from the usual, uh-- 'void school', as we call it. There was a lot of things that were looking pretty old and some places that could kill you if you weren't watching your step. The whole place kind of felt like we stepped into a Back to the Future scenario, if you ask me. Well, with more oddities and potential death.

[He listened to Inaba clarify some info he misunderstood. So the regular students come back too? So it wasn't such a difference...]

Do they always come back? And just to remind myself, how long does it take to come back?

[Makoto was in agreement with Inaba. Why was it that murder was not only encouraged here but rewarded? How is that a way to test someone for reincarnation? This test...It really disturbed him. He wanted to know what it was exactly so they could get through this without more casualties, but... What is waiting for them on that path?]

I can't confirm or deny on the 'always'. That's a devil's proof. As for "how long", it...varies.

[Subconsciously, fingers wrap around the wrist with her five tallies, thinking about the time gap.]

Generally, it seems to be quite a bit of time, though. A few months at the very least.

[She lets out a sigh, filled with mixed emotions.]

The original would fit the most--uh, but without the weird romance bits. Just the whole time traveling shit. Well, I did hear about something regarding with the forest and a shrine or something like that, but well... some things happened. So I haven't spoken to whatever god, buddha, deity, whatever the fuck is out there yet. But of course that's a 'yet'.

[Makoto nodded as he took in Inaba's words. That fit with what he had been told by others.]

A few months...A lot can happen in that time period.

[So time travel is something here too? Sure he had some weird memory/feeling that told him he had been here before but he hadn't paid much attention to it. As for God...]

Oh, definitely-- but that's why we need to learn what we're missing, otherwise there's no way to trust any sort of graduation.

How long have you been at this school? Do you have any ideas on where we should start?

. . . For a while now-- ah, but if you need an exact date, all of us basically 'woke up' back in late March of last year, during the spring break then. Same goes for me.

Of course, given the whole - well. Memory fuckery going on, I might have actually physically been here longer, but that's not something that should be touched on right now.

As for where to start - honestly. That's hard to say right now. The people that know the answers are obviously not just going to hand them to us on a silver spoon.
