Is anyone up at this time? If so, you'll notice the power flickers—sorry if you were working on anything and hadn't saved in a while. This goes for the entire school, but it only lasts a few minutes... It's probably nothing to worry about.

The sun breaks on another beautiful day at Yogen High School. The birds are singing, the weather is clear, and several rooms seem to be a little messed up. While there isn't any immediate smell of blood when one steps into the entrance-way—a relief for those who might remember October's terrible killings—something is definitely... off.

Those who live in Star 4 or who make it their business to visit the cooking room before school starts will probably be the first to know:

It's going to be a long morning.

Good idea to check. Since Nene's by the table, she'll get to see there's splinters mixed in with the sugar over there—maybe from the missing chair? Sounds like someone had some funny ideas about what might work as an improvised weapon...

As for the smell, it doesn't smell off at all! The teapot is half-filled, indicating that someone definitely poured some tea, and while not exceptionally important our tea flavor of the week is pink velvet cake. There's also some spilled drops of tea on the floor around here, too.

Hey who's been making tea with woodchips? That's not good for anyone.

OH THAT'S SUCH OMINOUS NARRATION. Okay. Okay okay okay okay okay. NOTED. Let's check... if there's anything else in the trash after she gets some rubber gloves on. ... Wait no pink velvet cake tea sounds wonderful? Gonna keep that in mind buT BACK TO INVESTIGATING.

Trash can diving it is! Her search rewards her the following:

Nene is going to take the bottle and the note to investigate further, but she's also going to take a picture of the blood and tea stained sugar for evidence purposes even though she's very upset.

What's up with the note and the bottle? The note clearly must say something or it wouldn't be a note, but does the bottle have any labels? ... Does it smell funny either? Is there more splinters?

The note does say something, sort of! It's crumpled up and barely legible, but the following can be made out:

"If you __ill w___ __ ___ __, come to th_ ___ck __we_ at 1__M. Don't bring anyone else."

The bottom half has been torn off though, so it's a mystery as to who sent it.

Nothing about the bottle, then?

Nene will carefully preserve the note- but she's got a strong theory about the clock tower now- and bring it with her for now. Next up is the rest of the missing tea party, so she's going to start checking cabinets or behind anything that might be left out.

Oh, right, the bottle. It doesn't smell like anything, which is probably weird—most things smell like things. It doesn't seem like it's been washed either, since it'd smell like dish soap if that was the case, probably.

So whatever was in it must've been odorless. It'd be stupid to throw away a perfectly intact bottle after all.

Oh, I forgot the other half of this comment, my bad.

Nothing else is left out of the cabinets! She'll find two tea cups with traces amount of tea left in them on the counter by the sink though, and a third tea cup in the sink—except this one is broken.

How many assholes were given odorless poisons remind me to check that later.

Anyways, three cups... so three people were present, and then a chair is missing and there's the splinters..... is there anything on the remains of the broken teacup?

There is not!

There's one more clue to find here though, which Nene will definitely be able to spot if she looks around very carefully.

Thank you for your guiding hand I actually feel useful for an investigation for once. Nene is Looking, incredibly carefully. What do her Nene Beams see?

Her Nene Beams will see... something just barely sticking out from beneath the refrigerator. It's the tip of a yellow scarf!

She spends time around Komaeda, so she'll probably recognize it as the one he started wearing around his wrist at some point.

That's it for this room! Unless Nene wants to have a little bit of tea before she goes, that is.

Concerning. Incredibly so. She will take the scarf too, but separate from the bottle just to be sure. She will also make a note of everything she found, and... try not to freak out!! She does not want tea right now she wants a hug. :(

Though- before I pop off, what state is the scarf in? Just to be thorough!

It's very dusty and slightly sugar covered from being swept under the fridge! Otherwise it's perfectly intact.
