( nene, small and quiet and dark circles setting in around her eyes from stress, is waiting outside of the cooking room. she doesn't say a word as she shows him the carefully preserved note. as he reads, she'll type out on her phone: )
the cooking room is a huge mess. there's sugar everywhere, a chair is missing... it looks like people were having tea, but were interrupted. there's a boken cup in the sink.
( she pauses, and then continues. )
there's a lot wrong in there tbh. i wrote everything down.
[Makoto gathered himself as he watched Nene wait for him quietly. He could sense something was very wrong. After catching his breath, he carefully approached Nene and took the note to read. The note was indeed worrying, with the lack of info and the possible intentions that came with it. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he heard his pad beep and looked down at the message before looking up at Nene.
This was bad but right now he was more worried about Nene. Still, he had to investigate this area himself. He nodded and put a hand on Nene's shoulder, gently squeezing it before letting her go and walking into the room.
The cooking room was indeed a mess. It was shocking and didn't quell his worries in the slightest. Walking to the cabinet, he examined the bottle and everything he could see. After several minutes, he carefully walked back out and turned to Nene.]
...Are you okay?
[Any other questions were pushed aside by his worry for Nene.]
[Makoto read the message solemnly before looking back at Nene. He understood those feelings so well. He had so many of them in the killing game and even after he escaped it. It was painful to see someone else feel this way.]
I understand. I had hoped after last month that we were done with that but it seems like I was wrong.
[He sighed in resigned acceptance and gave him a mental note to check on Ishimaru after this. He would bet that he's feeling much the same way. And probably feeling guilty about this too. But right now, he was here for Nene.]
...Yashiro-san, do you need to talk to someone? Or a hug?
[He wanted to make sure it was alright before he did so. He was a stranger to Nene after all.]
( no, sir, you offered a hug you cannot just leave after that. he's going to get the soft pomf of a sudden, tight hug and there's nothing he can do about it for a good thirty seconds. )

...I'll be right there.
[Makoto arrived at the cooking room after several minutes, panting heavily due to how fast he had come.]
