nonetheless. library is... suspiciously cleared out save the librarian, but subaru's got signs pointing to the back and he's sitting on a table himself, one leg pulled up to rest his cheek on it as he waves to seats. there's a lot of chairs here. he took them from tables.]

Everyone here that's gonna be here? Cool. Anyway, Addy's dead but for like real instead of bein' timeline dead I guess and Maddy's, uh... Sleeping Beauty right now, if you catch my drift. [ there's more to it, but... helena is right. dito's starting to feel a little stingier on information, specifically just for her. even though he already went and told her something she didn't ask for. if he's feeling pettier now, that's on her. ]

[ he frowns, tilting his head and looking at helena who is not looking at him, which is kind of annoying. he likes attention, after all. well, from people he wants it from. helena falls under that category. ]

[her mind is turning, and instead of giving him any kind of answer that would give him the actual attention he wants, she can only make a sort of noncommittal sound, clearly somewhere else entirely as she's lining out the facts. the body they had found had been missing an arm, from the description. maybe she's been thinking about this backwards.

maybe someone was trying to make up for his mistake yet again.

he scoffs, although the tone he speaks with next is entirely serious, albeit a little miffed: ]

[okay, that does get her attention. technically, she doesn't need to move her head towards whoever is talking, but she does it for other people's comfort, and so he does see her turn back his direction, confusion writ plain.]
