[ It takes a few moments more, but she's able to piece it together. ]
Oh... Were you trying to go in? The doorknob has a trap in it. It should wear off after a little while... I think.
[ She looks up to the doorknob, placing her hands on her knees before pushing herself up. She adjusts the dial, and there's the click of a lock before she opens the door. Komaeda had given her the code before, but he had also mentioned that Ultimate had been staying in this room before. It seems that he was watching it for him... Maybe this is him? It's a new face, and not one that she recognizes. The alternative is that he's simply a new student who made a mistake.
Whatever the case may be, he had mistakenly tried to open the door. She doesn't think either of the two will be upset if she brings him in. She crouches down by him again, that faint look of concern still there. It must be terribly frightening to be left so vulnerable, trapped in one's body and unable to even move. ]
( a trap... in the list of welcome back information that ranger had given him, amami can't say he wouldn't have appreciated being warned about a trap being on the door of the room he was told to head to. guess there was a lot he was given in place of that, but like, still... aside from a moment's reassurance — it's much appreciated, by the way — it isn't as if there's a whole lot for him to do aside from lament the lack of warning he'd been given. in such a risky situation too!
he can't sigh, but if he could, he'd sigh right here.
as things are, he pauses for a moment before looking up, then looking down. rinse and repeat two or three times. it's like the eyes-only equivalent of nodding his head. maybe if he's lucky he'll regain some feeling in his fingers so that this awkwardness doesn't stretch on too long, but in this particular tag, it's all about the eye nods to give her his approval. )
[ Fortunately, she both keeping eye contact with him and mindful enough to recognize it as a substitute for a nod. Her expression is gentle, and she nods once in response before beginning the process of lifting him up. Nanami starts by rolling him over. She tries to be as careful about it as she can, recognizing that this is already an uncomfortable situation, before considering how to best lift him. She had been able to pull Komaeda onto her back since he was standing, but it would be hard with Amami.
He looks kind of heavy, but she doesn't really like the idea of just dragging him across the floor either. So she'll bend down on one knee beside him, slipping her arms underneath his back and knees. She then sucks in a breath, counting to three before pushing herself up and off the ground in one smooth motion. It can't be called graceful, and she wobbles a little, but she manages to catch her balance.
...
He's heavy. She doesn't really want to carry him any longer than necessary, so she tries to be relatively quick about taking him into the room. Fortunately, for such a small girl she does seem to have a fair amount of upper body strength, so she'll be able to lay him down on the bed without any incident. ]
There... I'll close the door now.
[ There's the sound of footsteps, followed by the door closing and the click of a lock, and then she's sitting on the bed next to him, leaning over to look down at his face once more with that look of concern. She's going to place her hand on his forehead, checking to see if he has a fever. ]
Oh... I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Chiaki Nanami.
