Lonely and looking for love? Friends, maybe? Well look no further—the ASUNARO-sponsored Spring Speed-dating Festival has begun. Join us in room 3-A, where participants will then be given an assignment of "even" or "odd" and seated at a numbered table. You only have so long to talk to your partner before the bell rings and it's time to move on, but not to worry, if you find someone you like, the two of you can step out together! At the end of each round, "even" players will stay at their tables, and "odd" will move to the next. This is mostly flavour, but there is one important piece to keep in mind: in the interest of nobody being left out, leaving before the end of the event is only allowed in pairs.

Better hope you find someone you click with!

getting to know each other

So you've found someone you vibe with—congratulations! The next step is getting to know each other a little more. Cementing the bond, y'know? But high school is maybe a little young for marriage, so let's stick to the dates.

For the duration of the festival, classroom 3-E has been transformed into a makeshift movie theatre. Stop in with your date to watch one of these heart-racing movies, guaranteed to bring you and your date closer together! For the more romantic of the bunch, classroom 3-B will be home to dance lessons. Find a partner and get to know a Waltz, Argentine Tango, or request another, and try not to step on each other's feet as you get up-close and personal.

Anyone else who finds someone willing to pair up with them can write both of their names for entry into a raffle for a runner-up prize. Winners of the raffle will be given the choice between riches, quality of life, or valuable information as a thanks for participating and a congratulations on their new life together.

[it's okay! she got someone to read her a lot of the questions, and she wrote out her own list of good ones - sliding over a paper that was on her side of the table, she lets her fingertips brush over....hmmm, no, no, no, but that one.]

This one's nice, actually..."If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be? No wishing for more wishes." I expect that's simply a loophole that would get dreadfully boring.

[since if you could just wish for anything, you'd probably get tired of it all at a point.]

I see. Yes, it would simply be cheating to skirt around the rules like that! [He nods along in agreement and frowns thoughtfully as he ponders the possibilities.]

Now, what would I choose to wish for? I do not feel strongly about wishes, personally. As a firm believer in hard work, something like a magical wish diminishes the power of effort! I suppose that... if I were to use wishes, it would be for things that seem to be beyond my power.

Perhaps... I would wish that we could all live safe and ordinary school lives. ...It could also be nice to wish to see loved ones again! And... ah... perhaps I could wish for a way to safely travel between different places! Yes, that would be pleasant.

And where would you travel, once you had that connection secured? Sorry, I know that's another question, but travelling has always fascinated me - I never went too much on the sort of journeys that would be a delight to have, so I'm always curious about them. Real or imagined trips alike.

[and she's curious about what a mind like his might take for a worthy location.]

I do not mind that. Asking more questions is in the spirit of these exercises, after all! As for my answer... Well, it would be based more around people, for the most part. I want to travel home to see my parents. And to see my friends again... [Hopefully free from the killing game.]

Aside from that, I would simply like to travel the world and see sights fron every country! It would also be nice to see sights from other people's worlds, so long as they are safe to explore!

That sounds delightful...I know there's much we aren't certain of here in regards to our futures, but I do truly hope you can do that, no matter what comes to pass. To reunite with those you cherish...maybe they'll even wish to go on your travels with you, and you needn't be apart again.

[it's a little wistful when she says it, but she means it with her heart. if that dream can't be done for her, for her own reasons, then she wants Kiyotaka to have the best time he possibly can.]

Th-thank you, Helena-kun. I certainly hope for such a thing, from the bottom of my heart. [A hand glides over his chest as he looks downward.]

To be able to reunite with people dear to my heart and continue to be together... wh-whether they happen to be alive or deceased... Th-that would be a true dream.

[He goes quiet as he's caught up in the fantasy. His parents, Mondo, his dear classmates, the lost transfer students, Keigo... Maybe even his grandfather if they're counting the ranks of the dead. Oh, all the things they could experience together.]

[she says nothing, giving him a moment to think about it. the slight hesitation in his voice, the way he's quiet, it tells her enough, and Helena knows when to pull back as much as when to press.

[He's lost in a daze for a moment! But eventually he regains his composure and sheepishly clears his throat.]
