Lonely and looking for love? Friends, maybe? Well look no further—the ASUNARO-sponsored Spring Speed-dating Festival has begun. Join us in room 3-A, where participants will then be given an assignment of "even" or "odd" and seated at a numbered table. You only have so long to talk to your partner before the bell rings and it's time to move on, but not to worry, if you find someone you like, the two of you can step out together! At the end of each round, "even" players will stay at their tables, and "odd" will move to the next. This is mostly flavour, but there is one important piece to keep in mind: in the interest of nobody being left out, leaving before the end of the event is only allowed in pairs.

Better hope you find someone you click with!

getting to know each other

So you've found someone you vibe with—congratulations! The next step is getting to know each other a little more. Cementing the bond, y'know? But high school is maybe a little young for marriage, so let's stick to the dates.

For the duration of the festival, classroom 3-E has been transformed into a makeshift movie theatre. Stop in with your date to watch one of these heart-racing movies, guaranteed to bring you and your date closer together! For the more romantic of the bunch, classroom 3-B will be home to dance lessons. Find a partner and get to know a Waltz, Argentine Tango, or request another, and try not to step on each other's feet as you get up-close and personal.

Anyone else who finds someone willing to pair up with them can write both of their names for entry into a raffle for a runner-up prize. Winners of the raffle will be given the choice between riches, quality of life, or valuable information as a thanks for participating and a congratulations on their new life together.

[ The tablecloth covers Alice's head and torso, hindering his plans to rid himself of the splinters in his fingers. Furtively, as he deliberates the apparent fork in the roleplaying road before him, he pulls the fabric lower to peek out over its top edge, unwilling to lie there without observing what Midori is up to. His other hand briefly slides downward to rest on his stomach, confirming that there is in fact nothing but firm muscle to be found! Not that he was beginning to worry that there was a grain of truth to the jibes thrown at him during the performance...

In any case, Midori won't have the last laugh! With the tablecloth tugged over his head again, smoothed down past his shoulders, Alice sits up to raise his arms, fingers held like claws. ]

So that's why... It was always about material things, and erasing my stripes...

[ On his feet, he points at Midori with every ounce of vengeful spirit energy that he can convey when most of his body remains visible and obviously solid. ]

You deceived me to kill me for my belongings, so I'll haunt you forever...

[ However, proving his range, he'll take on the priest's role as well! Swiftly, he frees himself from the tablecloth, placing it across the broken table pieces now. Like Midori, he presses his palms together. ]

Today, a great tragedy took place. An unforgivable murder. May the deceased rest in peace, even though he has every right to be upset.

Oh...

[ head tilts down to look at the cloth on the floor that's supposed to be what's left of the poor and unfortunate alice who died there. with a frown, midori sighs as he brings a napkin up to his eyes to dab the tears (yes) that spring forth, wiping them away as he listens to the priest. ]

I don't think so! I want him to have a horrible, horrible death so that his next life is even better!

[ sob, sob. a hiccup right after. ] Reincarnation would be kinder to him... he really did have too much muscle in this life, don't you think so?

[ midori himself stays fit regardless, taking care of himself and his appearance that he couldn't think to add on too much weight like alice. despite having a doll body, he should probably be heavy, but he's a nice size of DATA CANNOT BE RETRIEVED and he'll keep it firmly at that, he is a pretty looking guy after all. he kneels down, reaching for the cloth before staring up at the priest as he allows this shenanigan to go on with one more inquire. ]

Do you believe in ghosts, Priest?

[ The napkin appears, and Alice pauses. Midori's tearful contribution would almost be impressive, if it weren't so uncomfortable to watch — not to mention that Midori has even more insults for him! So they're tears of joy, not grief, are they?

And what is he doing with the tablecloth now...? It puts Alice on edge, but he resolves to keep going, still the composed priest. ]

My child... This man's death was clearly horrible. No one wishes to be killed by a table, betrayed by their lover. What a loss for the world! He had exactly the right amount of muscle, resulting in the perfect physique, but now all that remains is a ghost... Indeed, one shouldn't doubt that spirits exist.

[ Scrutinizing Midori's appearance, the man is fairly slender, so presumably he prefers his own type of physique. Which is no reason to express such distaste for another person's muscular build! Besides, wasn't it useful to have someone bigger nearby when he chose to test the drugged tea with the help of a guinea pig? ]
