[Being part of the council does have its own feeling to it. Part of it for Ishimaru is guilt because of the bloodbath he had to survive to earn his seat on the council, but at least now he can feel relief that students are now earning their places on the council through simple voting, the way it always should have been.]
The wisteria tree? It seems to be doing well so far. I have never raised a tree before, but I have been studying the subject and consulting with the gardening club! But I know that this is different from an ordinary wisteria, so I am trying to be careful with it. And I will accept all of the help that I can receive. That, of course, includes you, Amami-kun!

It was a while back — some time in the summer, I think. Kazuki-san asked me for a favour. Well I was thinking, that sapling of yours, it gave me an idea for something we might actually be able to do about it.
I would not mind that at all, Amami-kun. I would love to help you fulfill that favor, and I am quite curious about what you have in mind for it! Not to mention that I have not spoken personally to him myself before, so it should be helpful to have someone with me who is more familiar with him!

It's a bit of an ambitious favour, but I'm pretty sure I said I'd do my best at it. Now that I have the time to pay it some more attention, I've been wondering if the solution hasn't been sitting right in front of our noses this whole time.
Something like that. See, the favour he asked about was to help "relieve the tree of its burdens." I'm sure you noticed, but it's getting pretty big, right? Like we're trying to fit too many souls into one container, but we don't want to just go trimming them off carelessly either, y'know?

( pushing himself up from the chair, he starts pacing, clearly feeling restless at the possibility. )
It's pretty simple actually, but I remember hearing that you can grow a new plant if you take a cutting from an old one. If we're careful, maybe we can do the same thing with the wisteria tree — removing cuttings from it to plant into new trees, so that the weight of those souls isn't all concentrated in one.
( and he smiles here, offering a shrug. )
Might be more comfortable for those in it, too. Seems like it's a bit of a crowded flat the way it is right now.
( sitting up straight now, he makes to get up from his seat at last, expression bright and warm. )
I'll catch up with you later and we can chat about the details. If it's something Kazuki-san is up for, I might get some help too, since we'll need to put some work into making sure we can properly care for them.

I see! That is quite a thoughtful idea. It sounds like it should logically work! The two wisteria trees, sharing a burden...
[It does add some pressure, knowing that the sapling he'll care for will contain actual human souls. But he's ready to be responsible.]
