THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BLANKET FORT SLUMBER PARTY

When: May 22nd (Saturday) after 6pm and the following morning
Where: Class 3-D
What: it's time to heal from all the chaos and murder with a blanket fort slumber party, hell yeah hell yeah

Sometime after school has fully closed for the day and everyone else has gone home, a sign is put up on the door to 3-D. In rounded letters and surrounded by drawings of flowers and a couple cartoon cats, it reads:

BLANKET FORT CONSTRUCTION ZONE
slumber party @ 8pm
all are welcome!
(rule breakers will be sent to JAIL)
... if you show up early, everything might still be in the process of being set up, but by 8pm most of the desks and chairs in the room have either been pushed to the sides or stacked strategically in the middle to form mighty fortress walls. These are, of course, topped with blankets for cover, because it wouldn't be a blanket fort without blankets. Blankets are a limited resource at the school, so it's recommended to bring your own if you don't want to share a fort with someone else. Or maybe just steal a big scrap of fabric from the art room. Close enough, right?

Aside from the obvious arrangements at the centre, there is an un-blanketed pair of desks set aside for snacks. Nene made cookies, and Clamor has put out a bowl of healthy nuts and fruit (as if anyone would actually take those over the cookies). For drinks, there are a few bottles of juice and one pot of (thoroughly filtered) tea and a few cups to use. A small folded sign at the table politely reads "Don't be greedy."

If you are greedy, or if you harass anyone else just trying to have a good time, you risk being sent to... gay baby jail™. It is, as always, a cardboard box situated in the farthest corner of the room, and guarded diligently by only the most fearsome of dads and buff teenagers. You have been warned.

There is also a second cardboard jail cell on the opposite corner of the room, which is not labelled (yet). The inside is absolutely covered in scratch marks, since it's the same box that was used to catch the cat earlier in the month... but now it's jail 2: jail harder. It is reserved for criminals who cannot be allowed to collaborate during jail time, and you know who you are, please just behave yourselves.

This is meant to be a slumber party, so eventually, an amount of slumber will be expected. Luckily it's the weekend, so everyone is welcome to sleep in for as long as they want... just don't sleep in too late, unless you want to get stuck helping with clean up.

This is meant to be something of a break from the usual death and despair of murderschool, so please don't do any actual murders in this log that is literally the lowest bar i can ask of y'all. Put warnings in your threads as needed! General chaos is fine, but characters that cause too much of a disturbance will be manhandled and sent to gay baby jail™. You have been warned... twice!!

ICly the fort construction and party is being arranged by Clamor, Noah, Sidney and Nene, but basically anyone who wants to pop in and help out is welcome to, and CR may have been asked to join/help out in advance. If you need an excuse for your character to come, someone else could've dragged them there to chill—just ask!

[Ishimaru's unfamiliar with the ideas of slumber parties and blanket forts, but it seems like a worthy group bonding activity. So he tags along, bringing the blanket that Nene brought with him, as well as a backpack full of notebooks and textbooks so that he can study. That's something people do at slumber parties, right?

[He reaches to take his books back.]

( that first book? that's being thrown somewhere over there during the king's games. they have to pass them out somehow, and if they're all in ishimaru's possession, then he's just being greedy when it comes to knowledge. )

Do you think this one can knock someone unconscious...?

( he doesn't even wait to see considering it's a rather big book... tf is this? history? he just tosses it somewhere across the room to see if he'll get a lucky hit or something. now this is how you spread hope and knowledge at the same time, now if it hits someone then that's the test of their hope... )

Now that - that is just despicable! A textbook should not be thrown like some ball! It could hurt someone, or even damage the book's pristine quality! [Which one is he more concerned about?

In any case, it's almost like a game of fetch, as Ishimaru runs over to the book's landing spot to retrieve it!]

Wow! You're like a dog too, good boy! Can you catch this one?

( with another book in hand, this one looks like... of mice and men, probably, that's a pretty good one — it should have distance behind it. )

I'm throwing it!

( he throws it towards ishimaru's direction, but of course komaeda can't throw worth shit so it ricochets off something, breaking that, flying overhead of the ultimate, and about to crash into a bowl of cookies. uh oh... better get that. )

Though your studies are, of course, important - it is also alright to relax from time to time with your peers. This is an event meant for socializing - so, even if it is for a few hours....set your books down and join in with the festivities, and enjoy your youth! Believe me, it passes by far too quickly.

Just kidding. Rokkun's in the art club so he can't be so reckless with his hands, but he does crouch at the entrance of Ishimaru's fort and looks around at what materials he has to work with. Pencils sharpened to a point... there's potential there. ]

You've never gone to a sleepover before?

[Ishimaru, not knowing how grateful he should feel for his face currently being intact, nods along with his answer.]

Ah... Yes, that is the truth. I never thought much about such activities in the past. I prefer to dedicate my free time to working hard at my studies, after all! My classmates seemed to understand, as I cannot recall ever receiving an invitation to one. That must have been their way of cheering me on!

Are you struggling? It looks like it, if you feel like you're letting studies eat up so much of your free time.

What? No, I am not struggling. On the contrary, I excel! I study hard so that I can learn every bit of material as thoroughly as possible and then some! It is all part of being an ideal student and a true hard worker!

Studying is something you don't do at a slumber party. Actually, my friends used to have slumber parties to celebrate being done with studying.

In that case... in the intended spirit of slumber parties, I suppose that I can put studying aside for the moment. In favor of... ah... other slumber party activities! [Whatever those are.]

...Ah... well, I am sorry to admit that I have not yet looked into Chopin beyond that one piece that you played for me. S-so I would only really have one answer for this question!

[ For someone who genuinely enjoyed learning and had lost access to their usual source of information, seeing all those textbooks was like finding a treasure trove! Granted, those books were likely the same as the ones they used during class, but it was possible that there were a few different ones. ]

To be honest, I am not sure either, but I would be happy to study with you!

[ Though, uh, they didn't really need to study because of their perfect recall, but it was an interesting experience regardless. ]

I want to study this! I've never read it. [ Mostly because Hayden would have never allowed it, but still. ]
