i. INTEREST CHECK! 

( at some point during the first week of june, you might find nene at the bulletin board, putting up a new flyer: an advertisement for a potential gardening club! the flyer itself has a series of lines so that people can note down their names to show their own interest, but since you seem to have caught nene- or perhaps another person also interested- there, you can ask her anything right there! despite the circles under her eyes, she smiles brightly when approached. )

Are you interested in gardening? 

ii. a: the first meeting! 

( a few days later- wow, that sheet filled up fast!- and nene has happily let everyone who signed up- or perhaps were signed up against their will- to meet after school in room 3-E. at some point you'll see her trying to lug around a bunch of equipment to set up... or maybe you'll get there by the time everything's been set up. 3-E has a new shelf installed, and on series of desks pushed together is a few stacks of clay pots, planters, tools, and a bunch of seed packets. left on the ground is sacks of soil and meal. to the side, however, is a little egg carton planter that nene is tending to herself, given that the flowers have began sprouting over the course of may. )

Hi! Welcome to the first meeting of the gardening club! Not everyone has experience, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! If I can't help, I'm sure someone with more experience can!

So, we've got a lot to work with... which I think is really fun, because it gives everyone an opportunity to do something different! 

( she's so excited, guys. as she starts setting things out for everyone, it should be clear to see the inventory: 

10 Standard Clay Pots - 1 for each Club Member
5 small multi-plot planters
12 packs of seeds ( American Coneflower, Chamomile, Mint, Daffodil, Lavender, Sage, Strawberries, Cosmos, Basil, Rosemary, Anemones, Jade Plant )
3 Hand Tool sets ( trowel, transplanter, cultivator and weeder )

and she's also made a set of labels for everything with toothpicks, paper and a bunch of markers for everyone to make their own. all in all, a varied and... oddly useful haul? )

ii. b: getting to work

( after helping people get started, nene has turned most of her attention to the egg carton planter. if you pay attention, you can see her carefully cutting the cardboard and transferring different sprouts into a planter. though she seems to be leaving the little labels she's made blank. huh! what's up with that? )

iii. the mingle

( not an actual prompt, just have fun and get to know your new fellow clubmates! some folks might need help getting started, or maybe you recognize some of the seeds! the bloodmeal doesn't activate the void school, thankfully. have fun, don't be a dick, love you all. )

Ooh! When you do, you should tell Sakasaki-senpai and Ishigami-kun! I know they're interested in the lab too.

( because of course she has the utmost faith that he can get into the science room. probably knock that creepy mannequin around. these people are crazy and refuse to let anything stop them and she supports it.

and if she has to fix the shelves later because sheesh, shhhhh. )

Ishigami Senku... hmm, I don't know the other one. Noted. [if it's someone interested in the science room, they might not be a waste of his time. And she should have faith in him, because he's definitely going to get in that science club no matter what. How can they even call it a science club if he's not in it??

She correctly guesses his pot, though, and he pauses, glancing her way for only a moment before averting his gaze again.]

... did you request these seeds specifically? Or did the school select them?

( well, here's hoping they can unlock more things soon... because uh there's a weird black and white death ball in the hallway??? ... yeah. she's been utilizing the crawlspaces a lot. )

Some where picked by the school, but not all of them... I tried to suggest some beginner friendly ones, but only a couple were taken into account. I gotta admit, the spread seems... kinda. Random? Like the American Coneflower...

[scoffing,] I doubt it was random. There must've been a reason for it...

[if not for all of them, then at least for these ones. it's completely absurd to think that they'd pick anemones at random when his name was on the sign-up sheet. what are they trying to pull...?]

This flower is... significant. Though I'm unsure of what message they're trying to send with it.

... Do you think it has something to do with you, then? The anemone, I mean.

( because that's a curious thought... between kazuki-san giving her toxic flowers and a potential connection here, it could be worth paying attention to. )

I'm certain. Unless someone else in this club also has a connection to this flower... but the chances of that being a coincidence would be even more unlikely. Things like that don't just happen by chance.

[this conversation is really too centred around him, though. explaining any more than that would delve too far into topics he'd rather not discuss... but now he's kinda curious about it. ugh.]

... More data points are necessary. Were there any other inclusions that stood out as unusual to you?

... I looked into some of the flowers and a couple of them are related to herbal practices- ( a foreign flower that's shown to be good for colds, chamomile and mint? after she asked shinobu to teach her first aid and more? sus. ) -and strawberries are my favorite.

Anything else might be a case by case. But... it couldn't hurt to ask?

Medicinal plants... that's awfully convenient for you, isn't it? That they'd just provide something like that for free without asking. [not as much for himself, since it's unlikely those treatments would even work on his body...]

Ask around if anyone else on the club roster noticed any plants that seemed odd or directed at them specifically. If there's meaning behind it, a pattern should emerge on its own.

[he'd do it himself, but why do that when he can just get someone else to talk to people for him? let him be lazy.]

( yeah, it also gave her poison, add. but she's not going to say that, not to someone she doesn't know.

she gives a thoughtful look to nothing in particular, because... well. a lot of things in her life rely on her being charming and persuasive, when you think about it. but she's kind of not. she'll have to strategize. )

... It might be a bit weird to bring up out of the blue... but. I can do that, I think.
