[Open] Awakening+

Who: The new girl Sara Chidouin and You!

What: General opening post for the girl
Warnings: Blood, mentions of death. General emotional confusion. Ori gave me a....unique awakening haha. XD

A. AWAKENING

Ugh. [ Her head hurts. That's the first thing Sara can think about as she slumps in the hallway, blinking. She's staring at her hands, but she can't seem to process what's going on. Her head just, hurts, and she rubs at it, blinking when she feels how sticky her hand is. ] What?

[ She stumbles, hand staining the wall as she tries to balance herself in this sudden vertigo. Sara stares down uncomprehendingly. Blood its...covered in blood. A lot of it, more then could be from an accident or an injury. After all, nothing hurts except this strange, dizzy feeling. And... That can't make sense. She'd just won the banquet, she'd just left class. She hadn't... She'd never meant to do anything. All she could remember was seeing a fellow student and...red string? And then she was here, and she was Sara again?

Did...I do this? The thought makes her sick but...she can't even find the energy to react. It's just too sudden.

If anyone walks by, they'd see her standing stock still in the hallway, covered in blood and staring down at her hands with a blank expression. ]

B. CLEANING UP

[ She's managed to drag herself into the bathroom at least. It doesn't lock (of course, this is a school isn't it?) so she balls up her jacket and throws it towards the bottom of the door. It might not stop anyone from coming in but it makes her feel a bit better to have at least something blocking the door. At least the taps turn even if she's getting blood all over the handles. It takes a few seconds of frantic scrubbing before she can even see the skin.

Sara looks like a mess, even she can acknowledge that. The face that peers back at her in the mirror is stark and dead eyed, dressed in an unfamiliar uniform. The collar is gone, but when she pulls the hem of her shirt down to look, she sees a thin pink scar where it used to sit tightly against the skin. So that was real, and this was real too? How frightening. She really is terrified, haha. ]

I don't remember hurting anyone. [ She addresses the girl in the mirror mostly, and really, really hopes nobody is in here with her. Whatever supernatural abilities Midori, Sou and the rest expect her to have, she's not sure she could explain this at all. Come on thats just...to cruel, isn't it? ] And...I don't have any reason to. So this is just another puzzle? It has to be.

C. GETTING ANSWERS

[ By the evening she's calmed down and cleaned up (thank goodness for the change of clothes in her locker). Now its time to stomp around till she can find...someone to corner. The first person who looks mildly knowledgeable or unique (she knows how this works thanks!) is going to look up to see a very peeved 17 year old marching towards them. ]

This is a game right? Tell me the rules. Now. [ That's no nonsense Sara Chidouin for you. ]

It- we've found trace amounts of blood in it. A-and the water-based drinks are... they seem to use the same water? We think there's something in the water tank.

( someone, more like. nene has to steal herself a bit before she continues- both for what she's about to say, and the potential backlash. )

... There's more, too. And I know it's going to sound really unbelievable.

There's- something weird happens, if you see blood hit the floor. You're taken to a... warped, broken down version of the school, and there's a deep, dark pit in the auditorium. You can get back to... Here, if you break a mirror, and it brings you back to where you started. There's also invisible monsters attacking people, but, um, Mr. Lucifer and Mr. Clamor are trying to get rid of them. They're less likely to attack groups, though- so... please, be safe...

Blood... [ She looks down at her hands. She feels unclean. Just getting blood off with more blood. ] So what...we're all supposed to become cannibals? I absolutely refuse.

That doesn't make sense. [ She holds up a hand to stop Nene before she starts describing anything worse. She'll hold off on questioning the oddness of Nene's descriptions (which are absurd by she really doubts this girl would lie to her). ] I woke up covered in blood, a lot of it. Why didn't I wake up in your shadow school?

( WOKE UP COVERED IN BLOOD? HELLO??? okay no there's. there's definitely been worse. )

... Did it actually hit the floor? Or maybe... when whatever happened, it happened before you 'woke up', so it didn't count... It doesn't effect the other students, you see.

[ HAS THERE???? ]

Hm, it was before. By the time I was "awake" as you describe it, the blood was already half dry. [ So not dripping onto the floor. ]

I had no trouble washing it off. Or perhaps the blood itself was not...correct? To cause this different school? I'm still unsure of where it came from.

( KOMAEDA AND RIKA TRIED TO FEED EVERYONE PEOPLE SANDWICHES LAST MEETING, SO )

It needed to hit the school floor, and you'd need to have been awake- despite it being on you... you must have been able to get to a place to clean up without witnessing the blood on the floor.

( ... but what caused her to get covered in blood? )

... Are you... you aren't hurt anywhere, are you? Or anyone around you?

[ You're right, she would rather wake up covered in blood! ]

No. I did check. Only some weird marks. [ Did they really give her a tattoo...or something? If this couldn't get any grosser. Any relief she'd been feeling about not being in a killing game was quickly vanishing. ]

It was very confusing, Yashiro-san. There was no body, but I remember seeing someone. Another student and...red thread? It [ She gestures vaguely, feeling sick. ] went tight. Then it was just me. Could this be the work of the invisible creatures you mentioned?

I... um. It... it might be. ( though, a red thread... this is the first she's heard of it. maybe she should ask hanako-kun? or maybe mr. lucifer. ) But I'm glad that you're not hurt at least...

O-Oh! There's some other things... we got hung up on. All of that. Not without good reason but yeah...

The library is completely silent- you can't hear or make any sound in it. After midnight and until six in the morning, that extends to the entire school. Should you take a library book out of the library, for your own safety you must return it before midnight too- or, uh. Something rips off one fingernail per book.

I've also been told that... it's... unsafe to speak your name at night.

I... I think that's all the dangerous stuff. ( she thinks. and she feels really bad about it. )

Ah...thats it, Yashiro-san? [ So don't eat any food, don't drink any water, don't speak her name at night, library ghosts...well at least its all out there. ] Well as long as there aren't any crazed murderers. [ Again she's...really bad at jokes. But Nene obviously feels super bad! ]

( nene actually freezes......... before slowly letting herself fall against the desk. )

How did I forget about the murderers.

Ah! Don't slam your head like that! You'll get a bruise! [ There there. She pats Nene's head a little. Her hair is very soft for someone who lives in a horror school...maybe Sara should ask her for tips. ]

Well that at least explains where the human meat is coming from. I did think it was a bit odd for it to just randomly appear.

( muffled, somewhat, because desk- )

There's been several murders, i-including the student council president having potential candidates for an open spot fight to the death in the courtyard for the position.

... I have no idea how she got away with it.

...You've been having a pretty awful time, huh? I'm very sorry, Yashiro-san. [Witnessing a fight to the death is one of the few things she's glad she hasn't seen. ]

Nobody got her in trouble? Why didn't the winner attack her for making them do that?

... No one was okay that day. But... I think everyone's a little afraid of her. Even if they don't say it. It gives her a certain power over everyone else. I know she's not untouchable- her predecessor wasn't. But it feels like she is, sometimes.

What's her name? [ She'd like to avoid people like this... Or maybe yell at them.]

And her predecessor? Let me guess, another murder?

Maya Arisu. And her predecessor, Aiko Okane, was the first victim after spring break.

[ She gives Nene a small bow from where she's seated. ]

Thank you very much for the information. I'd feel bad if I took up to much of your time, so if you need to leave I understand. [ She does not look like she feels bad in the slightest. ] Otherwise I suppose...well there's no way I can leave, can I? If leaving was possible you wouldn't be here. Unless there's a transfer form they refuse to let you sign. Am I supposed to just find a classroom to sleep in?

No- no, you're okay. I just... wish I had better things to tell you.

( new friends are fantastic, but having to tell them about murders and people being served as food is really, really taxing for everyone involved. )

Most of us can't even open a window- but... I think there's a plan going around, on finding a better place to stay during nighttime. ... But, yeah, pretty much. Most of us choose our homerooms, or clubs. It's better to not be alone at night...

It's alright Yashiro-san. Even having things like this explained is far better then I was expecting.

[ Imagine if she'd had to bully some lying jobhopper for information again. This is already exceeding expectation's. ]

Er? Isn't my homeroom just a bunch of adult men? I should probably look for somewhere else. There isn't a nice kendo club I could join, is there?

Ah- Mr. Clamor and Mr. Wolfe...? They're really nice, but I can definitely see why that'd be a bit... um. Yeah.

I think there are sports clubs, but most of us can't actually attend practice for them because we're confined to this building. It's... weird. It's like there's a barrier, but it only affects some people.

... There's an outdoor survival club, I think. And if you want, you can come find me? Hajun-nii's a bit older, but I trust him! And Mr. Holmes doesn't stay in the room. ... I don't know if he sleeps or not...

My father would kill me. Not that he's going to find out but...he gets freaked out if I even talk to a male upperclassman.

[ Hajun....nii? ]

Ah! He's the one with the hip-hop group, is he not? Looks like a bit of a gangster? [ She couldn't say he'd left a favorable impression but Nene seemed to trust him. Which was strange, but this girl did not seem like a liar or a bad judge of character. Perhaps there was just something she'd missed? ] We've met. I'm not sure he likes me very much.

Yeah! a thug...? He can be a bit. Rough but... he's really good to me. Even if he does pick on me sometimes... I don't think it's that he dislikes you, though.

( a big brother bully........ )

But, um. I'd rather you be comfortable so, we can probably find someplace safe for you to sleep at night.

Good to you... Are you two dating? [ Its the connection Sara instantly makes, and she's a bit to blunt to remember to not say it immediately. Sure she was calling him big bro...but that was a thing some people did right? M-maybe? All her conceptions of romance come from the cheesy movies Ryoko and someone else used to take her too. It would make sense why she's so apologetic despite his weird behavior. The worst guys always get really sweet girlfriends. ]

He's too old....... [ Maybe she should...talk to him again. Yes. Talk. ]

( nene freezes almost instantly, before almost falling back in her chair and tipping it over in her flustered scramble- )

No! Nonono, Hajun-nii is my big brother!

Nene are you alright?? [ Sara snaps out of idly musing how difficult it would be to KILLMURDERKILL Hajun. Oh no, Nene fell! Why could she have done something like that? ]

Er...I-Is that slang or? I'm sorry, I'm not really up on trends...

N-no, it's not- we just... think of each other as family- it's really not like that...

( oh god, if the gremlins of the school found out about this conversation... would she hear the end of it? )
