Case 2: the Curious Detective
Who: Sherlock and Whoever - open
When: Mid-June
Where: Various
What: Cooking With Detective, Flour sitting, etc.
A. Japanese Curry is British?! (Closed to Lucifer)
[As promised, a promise he only realized he made after the sleepover, he started to make curry in the kitchen once the staff left school for the day – having told Lucifer when to stop by. Thankfully curry is a common enough dish that he didn’t need to hunt too much for the ingredients, though the curry powder while having the appropriate subtle sweetness was much too mild on its own.
By the time Lucifer would arrive, he’d find things underway, the rice cooking, apple and vegetables sliced and the Detective mixing something in the powder]
Ah, there you are, would you mind trying this?
B. Flour sack check
[It was his turn to watch the flour sack, named Toby just because. His fingers trace the outside of it, lips pursing in thought]
You are quite a bit livelier than most substitute babies are...
[If he only had access to an x-ray machine, as Nene wanted this to succeed he won’t open the sack himself – he’s not completely heartless]
I hope this won't be a mistake.
C. Wildcard.
[Want something else? Catch him anywhere in the school, either in the library or examining the construction, beating up imps.
Or hit me up on plurk at

aww yeah curry time
He takes a small sample of the dish as instructed, pauses to savour the taste, and gives an approving nod.]
Not bad, detective.
[A good-natured smile, and then Lucifer leans against the countertop some distance away so not to disturb the process.]
It's not every day I get human-world varieties of curry.
Re: aww yeah curry time
[He glances back as he places filleted fish into the pan]
Is that spicy enough for you or should I add more heat?

[Demons like it spicy, after all.]
There are, in fact, different varieties of food in the Devildom versus here. Depending on who you ask, human-world food is either a delicacy or the most vile thing in existence. There are different sorts of foods in the Celestial Realm as well, though they are... horribly sweet most of the time.
[He pauses for a moment, trying to think of one of the odder dishes that they have back home, and settles on:]
My youngest brother's favourite dish happens to be Quetzalcoatl brains, for example.

...
All right. That does give one a very different image than you probably intended. I suspect our idea of what Quetzalcoatl means.
