It's time for another FAMILY MEETING!!

[There's a sign posted on 3-C on the 27th the future is now indicating that it's that time of month! That's right, it's time for the family meeting!

Lucifer is in charge this time and he is holding a whip, so please behave yourselves or you might get a warning crack near your head. Or don't behave yourselves. He's not your dad. He will, however, try his hardest to keep you all on track.

As Lucifer is also one of the Team Moms Dads, he's also made everybody lunch as he is wont to do. The rather fancy-looking food is set up on a couple of desks at the front of the classroom to peruse at your leisure. There are cookies and muffins as well, but please try to eat a real lunch instead of subsisting off of sweets entirely.

On the whiteboard, Lucifer has written the following topics & talking points that he'd like to discuss with everybody, and has requested that you all raise your hands so that this can be done in an orderly fashion... Good luck, Luci.
  • Who is missing? Who is confirmed deceased?
  • The gladiatorial battle — is it possible that those who died previously may come back to inflict further harm? Any guesses?
  • What the Hell was going on last weekend?
  • The void in the auditorium is infinite
  • Results of last month's investigations that we agreed on doing
  • The imps plaguing the school have been removed (thank you to Clamor for his assistance)
  • Have we discovered anything new?

Last but not least, the final bullet is one hundred percent something that Lucifer clearly wants to do, and it reads simply:
  • Instating a chore chart

So that's... fun.]

Let's try to keep this more orderly than the last one, shall we?

[And yes, the cardboard baby jail is set up in the back of the classroom! Naughty children go to cardboard baby jail. Naughtier children get a whip cracked at them. Have fun, everyone!]

[[OOC: The usual rules of the family meeting posts apply, which means threadjacking/general mingling is allowed and encouraged! Please remember to only share information your character discovered ICly to avoid metagaming. Also no Lucifer will not actually cause physical harm to anyone's characters with the whip unless player permission is granted, I'm not as psychotic as he is, don't worry about it.]]

[ Its a very good speech. Enough to make Sara look up in surprise from where she'd been talking to some person or another and stare. Sara has heard this girls name said a few times: Nanami. The sort of conviction with which she describes how the group should cope with these murders is more then admirable. It's the sort of speech Sara always wished she could give, but would have fallen flat. She could talk about working with people, she could talk about how nobody deserved to die but then she just sat there and picked out who the group should vote for. That was the sort of person she was, and knowing Midori, she could have been even worse. Could be the worst, right now, if Ranmaru and Alice had been any indication.

Nanami wouldn't have had a 15% chance of winning, but she would have probably been a better leader then Sara if she could stand up and say something like that and really mean it. Sou would have liked her.
]

Nanami-san...You're a very kind person aren't you? [It comes out a bit small and reedy when she says it, so Sara clears her throat in embarrassment. ]

Drawing ire to say what's right is hard...but we all need to move forward together! I was thinking this over myself and I just wish we could have supported everyone better that they could trust someone else to share their burdens.

[She looks away, brushing her bangs through her fingers. Sara is usually a pretty direct person yet this is the one thing she can't look a single person in the eye about. ]

But Nanami-san...I just want to ask something personal. What do you think about someone whose killed? Not for any great reason, just for their own sake?

[ Is she? Kindness is subjective - in this school, especially when many others have correlated her words with a selfishness to it. As if her desire in talking outwardly like this - was to take away? Attention? Make herself seem important?

When Nanami does not think that way what so ever, and her intent had been entirely to veer conversation in more important matters.

That dying was not okay, that killing is not okay. Everyone here agrees to that. She validated their claims in what she voiced - validated that their hurt was righteous. That their want for justice is okay, but that turning knives to one another is exactly what this school wants. Or what excatly they shouldn't do.

In everyone's anger for answers - and the need for solutions.

Nanami wanted that to be their focus, if they can solve things with their hands and focus on something constructive then... That was one less problem for them to think about. With the air of so much death ringing over everyone shoulders - and the potential for more people to die as they go about their endeavours.

It was important NOW more then ever, to talk. To calm down, look at each other and think about pragmaticism.

Her words were left open for others to peel off of, because she knows not everyone will feel the same. She knows there is too much anger for those who had acted - Rika, Komaeda, Natsume.... Too much going on.

The rest of them, COULD NOT follow suit.

There was a lot going on, but it was not impossible from all of this to come together and push forward. ]

..

[ It isnt always anyone ever asks for her opinion, she is someone who is crafted to entitle those around her. Uplift those about her, to feel how they should be... Yet when it came to something like this, it hit her especially hard because she has friends who have killed and killed relentlessly... Heartlessly... In the most fucked up ways. She still calls them friends. ]

... In the end they are still a person, with feelings and thoughts all the same... [ How does she say this where its not, condoning another's actions for what they had done like Natsume. While also holding them accountable for what had occurred? ] Someone who had to get to a point where they thought killing was the only thing necessary, even though they were - are completely wrong.

[ Shes saying... The obvious but its just that simple... The reason why its complicated is because of convoluted feelings everyone holds onto. They are right for doing as much. ]

... Someone who has killed has done wrong, but they can face their own actions and move forward from it.... I know there are many people here, who have killed someone in the past... As if that is the only answer, but we saw with how Ishimaru-san.... [ She clutches her chest upset... ] With their own reasons, in doing what they had... Do you really think any one of us is glad that someone had to die? Or Kill?

... Do we all really just want to kill someone, just to make a wrong right? When we all know its wrong to kill anyway? Its not... We can do better, someone whose killed can do better. We can move forward from it like you said together.

[ Subjective but...If Sara could tell Nanami one thing that was clear from the moment she spoke, it was that she was kind. Someone who stood up in a meeting and was brazen enough to tell a room full of killers not to kill, but not with hatred. Well, Sara admired that tremendously. It wasn't like Ouma's sneering derision at the idea of killing. It was wanting to help people. And yet...]

Completely wrong, huh? No matter what. [ Her tone isn't mocking as she repeats Chiaki's words back. Its true. Yet it isn't true, is it. She knows what her mind thinks is true, what she really felt when she saw someone die due to her own actions. But she wanted to live, didn't she? Even now. ] Its never the answer for you, is it?

[What a kind yet utterly distant person. ]

I didn't say anything about anyone being glad... I just wanted to know what you thought, Nanami-san. Things are much nicer when nobody has to die.

[ Nanami cants her head, 'Its never the answer for you?'

To her answers were always going to be there, they are common sense. They are knowledge once they are found. In the same manner Saihara had come forward with the truth of all of it. ]

... There is always an answer. [ She says, tightly. ] Merely because it wrong doesn't mean that the answer is right.

[ SHIROU VOICE JUST BECAUSE IM WRONG DOESNT MEAN YOUR RIGHT!! Im jk, the point is. It is wrong to kill, but it is right to move forward and make amends with what concurred. No matter the horrific truth of it. Getting to that point is going to take time - that is all she is doing.

Starting that conversation. The one no one wants to hear, the one that will take months before anyone can settle with the idea that people around them are capable of killing. For no reason, for many reasons. They need to confer that it is wrong yes, but that you can move forward from wrong doings. You can heal from wrong doings. You can move on from wrong doings. ]

... If someone does something wrong, the thing you need to do is fix it. Ending something is just an easy alternative to what is harder to do... Ah... When something breaks. Like a game counsel. To throw it away like it was nothing, or try to fix it?

[ Although a simple example... It is one none-the-less. ]

In order to fix it though, you need to realize what is actually wrong with what happened. [ And in this instance, it was killing someone. Several someone's. Even if she understands the reason and the answer is most true. The fact of the matter was that someone was capable enough to end another persons life. That this alone is enough to draw fear in other peoples eyes, enough to want to kill the mself.

Which is why.

They need to contend with the idea of Killing being wrong. To stop that. To try to heal from this. ]
.. Things are nicer if nobody has to die, and I know everyone here believes that deep down or wants that.

Always an answer...Yes. I really hope there is. I'd like to live in the sort of world you set out, Nanami-san. [She gives the other girl a small smile. ]

I've never played any video games, but I do understand what you're saying. Even if we've done something wrong that we regret, the important thing is fixing it. I think we can agree on that.

[ Sara doubts everyone here is as kind as Nanami thinks. A lot of people just want to kill for the sake of it, or just look out for their own survival. The only thing trust fosters in a group like this is just the possibility someone might waver in betraying you...but often thats been enough for her. So she nods, and swallows her own doubts. Choosing to trust that everyone wants whats best for the group...sure. Why couldn't she do it again? If they betrayed her or Nanami later, then that could be dealt with. ]

Perhaps the best course of action here is not what we might say, but to show understanding through actions? I'm not very good with words. [They make people do the things she almost thinks she wants. ] Everyone's opinions might be better swayed with Natsume's own conviction.

[ Everyone's opinions might be better swayed with Natsume's own conviction.

It was her own conviction she supposes, as the entity of who she were. That this was what she wanted ultimately - for everyone to come out of this conversation to believe. It is possible, if Natsume with the support and belief that everyone CAN come out of this situation. That it is possible to come back from wrong doings, which is why it will be up to both Komaeda and Natsume.

All anyone, or her and Sara can hope to do. Is listen to the voices of hurt that were wrong, and give platform to their feelings. Acknowledge them, and affirm that what had happened had indeed happened.

Their friends killed one another, and as it is. They want to keep doing so as well, but Nanami believes its in everyone's best interest and abilities. To move forward from this.

Wrong doings are wrong doings, there is no debate for that. What there is conversation for, is how to handle it and move forward from here on.

NANAMI literally says this like 23942034 times in the game its so fucking annoying. Her robotic voice: MOVE FORWARD WE CAN ONLY MOVE FORWARD!!!]

Mm! There are other course of actions we can take, I know that we can. Everyone here is stronger then we all believe. Everyone has been through so much so far, the anger that is here is warranted but we can be more then what our fears and feelings make us want to believe.

[ Nanami offers the other her hand. ]

... Lets work together to figure it out.

Just give him some time, okay? Show him a shoulder to lean on, and perhaps by the next meeting he might feel differently.

[ Sometimes there aren't other options. Sometimes people are backed into a corner with no way out. Ishimaru was an example. Sara was an example too, or she'd thought she'd been once. Maybe there had been another way, and she'd just been unable to find it. Nonetheless, to choose to kill someone rather then die...she had absolutely no right to judge such people, not like Nanami. Even so, it wasn't hard to meet the other girls eyes anymore. ]

Strong feelings...weak feelings. All you need is for someone's heart to waver, just once. Just a little wavering in the belief that the only option is to kill... I believe, if we give each other a chance, we might be able to offer that, Nanami-san.

[ Nanami's hand seems rather small, in the chaos of the meeting. For a second her hand twinges, remembering red string. Remembering Ranmaru, who she offered support only lose to her own cowardice. The last time he held her hand and promised to kill for her and she'd not said a word to stop it. This girl, she could really be stupid enough to offer this trust, but Sara wanted to be stupid again. Nanami offers her hand. Sara takes it. ]

I'm Sara. [ Her handshake is firm. ] I think I could handle figuring things out with you, Nanami.
