someone should at least tell me a bedtime story so i'll have some sweet dreams tonight. tell me a story about something that's happened to you in this place.
alternatively: what's your reason for living? or what does life mean to you?
[what better way to get to know his fellow students than to ask deep questions in the middle of the night because why not]

I think having to live through it makes it less interesting for a bunch of us. Not all of us, unfortunately, as you can probably see.
Even if we're stuck with that, at least they're rolling out the red carpet for us, right? Really have some 5-star service going on here at Yogen.

[But hey, since they're talking about everything they shouldn't. Might as well keep talking about the water!]
You're right, my mistake. If they haven't fixed it after all this time, I shouldn't dare to get my hopes up.

i guess you all have tried to figure out how to make things better already?
looks at my four comments... looks at hands, my sins
[He doesn't really know what the repercussions of all of this getting out will be, but he can't imagine it'll be anything good.]
We try to do what we can, though. Things like sleeping bags, purifying the water, and activities that feel normal help. But there's still only so much that can be done when we're stuck here.
