dorm fundraiser log

Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.

CLASSROOM 3-A

Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.

The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.

CLASSROOM 3-B

Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.

Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!

HALLWAY

The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...

Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:

Kaede

Yeah~. Reminds me of home, I used to do alllll kinds of things like this... And other stuff too. Honestly, I feel more myself today than any other I've had so far~.

Ah- kinda... once, my teacher's favorite cafe needed looking after while the owner was on vacation, so I helped out as a waitress there for a little bit. It's actually- um- ( she gestures to the maid outfit and the little ghost-shaped nametag- ) -all of this was from that, actually.

But it wasn't really like this-

( it was just normal waitressing, but for spirits. not being a maid-themed hostess, because that's ultimately what they are. )

Ahaha, this work is pretty one of a kind~. I usually just waited tables myself before I really got into idol work, so I definitely can feel the difference... But it's fun, right~? You get to meet all kinds of people, and act in ways you normally don't get to~.

It is!! B-but it's a little- I don't want to say it's embarrassing, because it's not, but. I still... feel? A little...

( flustered? flustered. and it shows because even as she talks about it, reminiscing on the first half of their day so far, her cheeks flush a bit. most people were at least kind and polite... )

I'm an idol back home, see? It's a little more than just being a singer and all... We're not supposed to have relationships and stuff like that, 'cause we're supposed to be available to our fans, so even if I found I liked someone I couldn't ask 'em out anyway.

Even my mom and dad had to stay secret. So I don't really know what it's like to ask someone out, or be rejected in that way, but I do know that I wanna make you smile. I dunno why they turned you down, but I'd be okay with finding out one way or another.

there's something else. someone else. even if he won't truly act, even if she knows they can't truly be together... she still likes hanako-kun. it'd figure that the first time someone actually asks her out, even if it's just for fun, she'd feel the need to be the one to reject it... )

... Subaru-kun? I, um. I'm really happy you're being sincere, and that you even asked- I really, really am! But I don't know if I can go out with someone romantically while I have certain stuff I need to do... but. If the offer stands as a friend... then, I'd really, really love that.

Nope! They sound cool though, and I'm a big fan of movies~. Especially older ones! What're they about?

Soooo, it's a science fiction series? And they're about hamsters, but like. They're space hamsters so they're super smart and stuff. And the interplanetary factions have bene trying to negotiate peace for a while now, but when things are about to be finalized one of the evil hamster space kingdoms sabotaged the negotiations and sent everything into chaos and more war so they can control things from the shadow for money and power! And the movies follow different factions trying to survive and win, annnd the main hamster witnessed the evil hamsters doing things so he's trying to escape them and fix things and it's-

That sounds awesome!! How many are there? Is it gonna take long to catch up? I've never heard of anything like that back where I'm from, which is a real shame 'cause I know Ukki~ and maybe Zaki-san'd be into that! Well, Zaki-san might not get all the sci-fi stuff 'cause he's pretty old-fashioned, but space movies like that and samurai stuff are totally alike!

Three movies so far, and they've got some anime spinoffs!! Oh my gosh, if I could find a copy...

Uh huh! Ukki~'s my very best friend, he's a total four-eyed nerd who's super reliable and does his best the moment you set him to a task! He's also the one who's my straight man when we do double-acts! Well, everyone in Trickstar's sorta become that for each other, but he's the OG! Oh, and he's really into video games... Ukki~'s really good at them too, he's beat a lot of the super duper hard oldies!

And Zaki-san's a samurai! He's got an old soul carries a sword around, but he's a nice guy! We weren't suuuuper close or anything back home, but we were classmates and all, so we were pretty chummy in our own way~. He's part of the Marine Life Club, so I think you'd like him!

( nene listens with a smile, soft and excited. she doesn't think about home and the friends she has and misses- about akane-kun and his devotion, or lemon-kun and his relaxing presence. about aoi-chan and kou-kun and mitsuba-kun.

does subaru get sad, thinking about the ones waiting for him at home? if he does, he doesn't show it. so she won't either. )

They sound wonderful. I hope I can meet them, once we get out of here. So, then, you do... comedy? ... That makes sense, honestly, you're someone who likes to make people happy.

[it'd hit him more if he didn't at least have natsume here... if he was entirely alone, it'd hit him more... but he'll probably think about them more down the road; he's used to people being busy and not having time to spend with him, see, he's been better about it, but... there's a difference in "being busy" and "not being there at all"...]
