dorm fundraiser log

Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.

CLASSROOM 3-A

Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.

The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.

CLASSROOM 3-B

Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.

Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!

The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...

Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:

( so... she's standing in front of 3-A in her maid attire, sans a new addition of gloves that cover the entirety of her arms, for kinda-died-yesterday reasons. she seems a little zoned out, staring off into space, but for about an hour since the fundraiser start, she will be greeting everyone who chooses to enter with a sweet: )

Welcome home, Master! ( it's obviously fake, but she puts on a cheerful smile, regardless. this is the best time to approach her with any concerns, questions or contributions, whenever she's not distracted taking selfies on her newly re-acquired phone, or looking past you like she's just seen a ghost. otherwise, after said hour, she retreats inside of 3-A to set up her booth. )

( so, thanks to amami finding a book of love spells, she'll be sitting at the booth and offering to cast them for anyone who's willing to pay a prince. the ingredients are acquired through amami's hard work hustling the occult club, and the variety of spells is as follows:

1. a target spell to make your person of choice fall in love with you! (this requires player permission if it's a pc, and will last as long as they wish it to.)
2. a general spell for better luck in love, for the broken-hearted! (this is just a Blessing spell, nothing specific, and is considerably cheaper.)
3. a mystery spell, said to attract not only love, but also good looks and fortune! (this is a Prank spell that makes you blindly in love with the first person you touch/interact with after having it cast on you, just for hilarity. lasts about an hour, or however long you want tbh.)
4. secret menu spell that's only available when amami and ishimaru aren't around. this has something to do with fertility and erotic days... are you sure... ?

aside from all that, they also offer the placebo love potion. if she's asked if it works, she'll assure them that yes, it absolutely does, but in reality, it just tastes like strawberry soda and emits little, magical hearts, nothing beyond that.

she'll be at this booth for most of the fundraiser, and she'll also be looking for her good pal, jeffrey bezos, who supposedly stepped down as the amazon ceo just to attend the yogen fundraiser. who would've thought? feel free to come chat her up while she's brewing the Love Soup, or ask for advice, give her hot goss, or request a spell, though transfer students will need to trade something in, if they don't have real life yen on them. merit points are fine. )

( aside from these two spots, she'll be all over the place when not at the booth, checking up on everything, since this project is kind of... her child... sometimes, you'll see her out with elizabeth, making snowcones, sometimes, she'll be at the host club, chasing people to work, and sometimes, she'll be walking to the kitchen and back to bring in more sweets. she'll also help out the other maids and hosts with their clothes and make-up, if necessary.

she won't be doing much actual maid-work, because, you know, broken ribs, but feel free to request her, anyway, if you'd like. if it pays well enough... or if she likes you enough... she'll take the time to come entertain it for a bit, before poofing again. )

☽ Catboy Crimes

[To anyone who thought I was kidding when I said in discord that Noah would be wearing a maid dress, I was not, and yes the boob window is part of the getup and as everyone in the school is about to find out, Noah is a lot more muscular than he looks under all that goth. Gender is fake. Anyway.

Someone crammed him into this outfit and while he's not exactly thrilled he's not exactly dying about it, and after a short while Noah kind of gets into the groove of a) the fact that he's wearing a very fluffy dress with like, actual layers under it and b) acting like he's good at this job. Fake it 'til you make it, they say. For all his shyness and for the way Elizabeth's introduction makes him freeze up because he's definitely not any of those things she named, he's trying his best.

Trying his best eventually culminates into not only flirting ("flirting" — this is Noah we're talking about here, and he gets flustered pretty easily) but doing sleight of hand tricks, something Noah is fairly deft at considering his background. Where did that card go? Behind your ear? When he retrieves it, he'll wink at you and maybe drag his hand along your cheek a little too long before tossing it into the air and — oops, the card's gone. Did you miss it in your distraction, or did you see it get snatched up by one of the shadows on the ceiling enabling Noah's tricks?

If you ask nicely enough, he'll feed you snacks, but don't expect him to not get flustered about it. It's a good act coming from the kid who can't actually talk to people, but sometimes things fall through the cracks. No matter who visits, he's giving flirting an attempt... He really wants those fucking dorms, y'all. Please try not to point out the fact that he's been blushing profusely the entire time he's been working. Or do. He can't stop you right now.]

☽ Knife Crimes

[Perhaps you swing by after Noah has figured out that he can steal the kitchen knives and hide them in the 238947 layers making up this dress, and with a little finagling (aka hidden shadow magic strapping all the knives down), he's managed to make it so that they don't fall out of the outfit when he moves.

There are two reasons he's doing this. One, some cheeky student at some point dared him to juggle knives for his sleight of hand tricks, and so Noah can be seen occasionally doing that and praying he doesn't lose a finger. Two, and this is the more fun reason: There's a line of people betting on just how many knives he's hidden in this skirt of his, and it's kind of started a whole betting ring. The prize for guessing correctly is left up to the winner — be it free snacks, a kiss, a date in the courtyard since that's the furthest he can go out... The only rule is it can't be anything violent or illegal, which is real rich coming from the kid who's juggling knives to bring in money.

But, hey, it's working. At this point they might as well have put on a cirque instead of a maid café. Boys will be boys, certainly.

Line up, place your bets, or watch the kid nearly lose a finger every couple minutes. Or maybe ask him for the knives back, because he's stolen like, all of them, Godspeed to the kitchen staff.]

CLASSROOM 3-E

[ A few classrooms away in 3-E, Senku has set up his own small fundraiser to work in conjunction with the Maid Cafe and Host Club! Outside of the door is a sign that reads: ]

CANNED FOOD DRIVE: 10% OFF purchases in the Host Club/Maid Cafe if you bring in canned food!

[ And to show that you have done such, Senku will hand you some coupons for you to use at the respective establishments! If anyone asks about what food drive the food is going to, he'll tell them the food will go to students at the school who aren't able to get a lot of food for themselves outside of classes. Which isn't entirely wrong; it's just not the whole truth. They've got to get enough food to last for a month somehow. He didn't want to rely on just the vending machine, and he's not sure if that thing is infinitely churning out snacks either. ]

[ Should your character want a break from the Host Club and Maid Cafe, feel free to come talk to Senku in between all the excitement! He doesn't mind the company at all! He might put you to work in giving out coupons, though, but that's about the extent of what he'll make you do. ]

Welcome to the Kissing Booth...~

( his voice low, watching as someone is making their way over, and he lifts one hand to beckon them over closer. he knows his reputation isn't the best, but that doesn't mean he has to make it hard for what's supposed to be happening here. dressed to impress, he lowers his hand to fix the cuff of his sleeve properly, with a soft smile on his face. as soon as that's done, he's trying to fix the tie around his neck, failing ultimately, so he focuses on sweeping back the lock of hair that curls under his eye behind his ear.

his eyes remained trained on the eyes of his visitor, trying to find what or who they're looking for, and if your character glances off to the side, komaeda will glance over too. he'll pick up a little name card that reads "☆☆☆-kun," and he offers it over to them. )

If you're looking for Akehoshi-kun, he had to leave for a few, ( maybe to check on natsume. ) but if you come back at these times...

( he'll show off the timestamps of when he's to make his appearance, )

A shooting star will show themselves to the lucky you! Ahaha, this is pretty fun...

02. what's 9 + 10? 21.

( when he's not at the kissing booth, he can be found in this classroom with the rest of his host club peers, and he'll glance around the room to find someone who is sitting by themselves. or, perhaps they requested him, either way, he's coming over with a tray that has about ten different drinks on it, and he sets it down on the side of the desk. he takes a chair from behind him, spinning it around so that he can sit down properly on the opposite side. )

Forgive me for making you wait.

( as a token of his apology, he pulls out the black handkerchief from his pocket, and next is a desk of cards that he had hiding away. with them now in his hands, he proceeds to shuffle them slow, watching the other across the table as he suggests what's on his mind, because it wouldn't be a fundraiser without a little fun, right? )

The drinks can be on me — ( yeah, the opportunity to splash him, or let him keep talking. ) if you beat me in a little game... what do you say?

( it's a fucking shame i can't find the "you laugh, you drink" or "do or drink" question list, but there's also blackjack, or give and take. we're playing the drinking games, where are the drinking games! there's also this rhyming word game, but the choice is yours... komaeda will probably use his luck, because rika would beat his ass if he really gave our free stuff. )

( okay, do anything you want to him, and if you want me to write you a closed... i can do that too. just go wild. komaeda goes back and forth through the classrooms, and he's also wearing a cute little cat tail which has a blue cheshire cat that appears in and out, so it'll feel like you're hallucinating. if you need anything from him, you can just call him over, other than that... he'll show off hiro's fantastic art skills.

[Although he's considerably grumpy about Elizabeth's description for him, Hinata will wander away from his post before things really get in motion to check on the maid cafe side of things. Is he going over there just so he can hover protectively over Nene before he's truly needed that much? Maybe, but you don't have to call him out on it :/

Even if he was strong-armed into this by pleading faces, though... There's something about this that lifts his spirits, just a little bit. The cloud that's been hanging over him - over more than just him, now - seems a little bit clearer, everything a little bit brighter. Togami... You had the right idea back then, didn't you? Hinata wishes he could see it now... but that's never a good train of thought for him, so he refocuses back on the bustling that makes everything a little brighter.

He won't be around on this side of things for an especially long time, but you might find him helping out a little bit with bringing out food if it happens to get busy, or curiously wandering between the booths.]

ii-a. classroom 3-B, closed to Komaeda

[Eventually Hinata's little break in the maid cafe will come to an end, because somebody - probably Rika, maybe someone else? - will call out to him saying that he's got a guest asking for him.

Hinata may have only been roped into this through Rika and Ouma's begging, but he still has his deep-rooted sense of obligation, so he'll hurry over the moment he's called, hurrying through the doors to the table and-

Just. Stares, at the person who is unmistakably Komaeda Nagito.

...Sorry, it seems there was a mix-up. I apologize for you having to look at my worthless face for longer than necessary. [His eyebrow is twitching, ever so slightly. If Rika set this up, he'll be livid.] If you could tell me who you're actually looking for, I'll go get them for you right away.

[After the... probably very harrowing experience of Hinata's first guest, he'll be prepared for any more that might appear. Whenever he happens to be called upon, Hinata will, while blushing furiously, force out this halting and slightly stammering line:]

[He may have some other lines, but those are considerably worse.

Hinata doesn't have much to offer compared to some of the others, but he'll happily (source: ?) offer any guests food or drinks to any who request it... and feed them personally, or anything else they might want, if they happen to ask (although he'll be pretty flustered if they do). I was wondering... if you'd be able to put my hair up, like you did last time? I've tried, but...

( he can do it as many times as he likes, but it never fits the way that the other did it for him before, and komaeda's more satisfied with what an ultimate does than what he can do. )

( For better or for worse... Natsume actually looks quite good in the maid's dress given his already thin and girlish figure, one more modest than most — no boob window, in example — that goes to his knees, covering slim legs in white tights. There's some light makeup done, and his perfume is a warm, faintly floral mix today. And yes, he has the cat ears. Meow.

Despite the fact he hates this, hates every single bit of things, he treats his customers with a coy smile and a small curtsy. )

( The actual thing he wanted to do, rather than the maid café — but Rika wouldn't let him attend without some compromise, and he prefers this to "let me stab you" or something similar to that.

he kind of wishes he had taken a sword instead, sighs, especially since he still has to wear the maid dress right now.

Anyway, while his booth is simple in design — looking like one of those typical fortuneteller ones — his charms are anything but. Elaborate paper charms, with things like "fortune," "love," "protection," "studying," and so on... There's triple the amount for studying and good grades charms, seeing as the exam season is coming up.

There's also, as a surprise, a stack of thin, colorful strips of paper — the same as the wish paper from last month. The instructions read: "Write a regret and tie it to the rope; at the end of the fundraiser, it will all go up in smoke."
