player event: fundraiser
dorm fundraiser log

Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.
CLASSROOM 3-A
Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.
The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.
CLASSROOM 3-B
Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.
Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!
HALLWAY
The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...
Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:
Nene"A cute girl with a smile that's sure to heal your heart! The Sheep Among The Wolves, Nene Yashiro!"Kaede"There's no one better for a motherly, guiding touch! Our Lady of Passion, Kaede Akamatsu!"Natsume"Boys in skirts is certainly a bold choice for the year we're in, but if you can make it work... The Double-Crossing Crossdresser, Natsume Sakasaki!"Noah"Young but wise in the ways of love, this quiet boy offers an experience like no other! The Epitome of a Youthful Spring, Noah Ebalon!"Lucifer"Get lucky and you might just see his morning star rise! The Virtue of Patience, Lucifer!"Sara"She's serious and seriously not playing! The Hands-On Detective, Sara Chidouin!"Komaeda"The skin of a killer glitters with the light of hope! Despair's Friendly Foe, Nagito Komaeda!"Hinata"Even most normal-looking boys have something to offer! The Stand-Out Everyman, Hinata Hajime!"Hajun"You can't trust a man with looks this good, can you? The Octopus Trap of the Heart, Hajun Yeon!"Gundham"He's a friend to all things, living or dead! Yogen's Catastroprince of Ice, Gundham Tanaka!"Subaru"If you're feeling a little lonely tonight, why not make a wish on the first star you see? The Sparkling Knight of the Night Sky, Subaru Akehoshi!"
Well? Have you decided yet?

but he'd heard a commotion while he was meandering around the halls, so. here he is. for better or worse.
which could possibly be terrible when his twin notices that he's alone and sits down near him, and for a moment he might even look a little confused. he's so used to being invisible in a crowd (willingly or unwillingly bc God Problems) that it catches him slightly off guard that someone even went to sit down next to him. but the emotion goes as quickly as it came at the prospect of a game, hidden by a smirk, because even if he doesn't like work, he might be kind of competitive...
so he tilts his head towards the other so that he can look at what he's offering to play now.]
And what little game would that be?
no subject
he lays the deck of cards down on the table, smoothing about ten across in front of the other so he can only see the checkered back, hypnotizingly drawn from how one could get lost in their shapes. it's meant as a distraction though as komaeda uses his other hand to grab one of the drinks, what appears to be frozen fruit inside of a clear liquid, but the bubbles indicate it's something more... like sparkling beverage, because they couldn't get the real stuff here. he sets it down on the table before lifting his gaze from it, and watching the other with interest. )
Anything your heart desires, twin... or should I call you "Master" this time around?
( that's said seductively like he's trying to acquire the other's attention, maybe confuse him a little before choosing their game. his finger traces the rim of the glass until he stops, and he pushes it a little closer to joshua to examine. with that done, he'll remove his hand to slide two cards to joshua, and then flips them faced up: )
( komaeda leans back, flipping one card over on his side which is a black king of spades, and another card faced down that komaeda peeks under to check his counting. once he's finished, he gives his entire attention to his twin. )
Blackjack?
no subject
he acts like he's not paying attention, even though he is, smirking a bit at the other at the nickname.
"master" is something that's not too far from what he's used to being called -- being called "composer" has a similar ring to it, and he's he's going to shrug that off.]
Master...it has a ring to it, but I'd rather not.
["twin", however...it's strange, meeting someone who's probably so close to being alike to him and not all at the same time. he's not really sure how to deal with it, because he's so used to not being understood at all, and being mostly alone, it's kind of startling to know that he might not be as alone as he thought he was.
at least, in a very distant way. there's still no one like him otherwise that he knows of, which is almost comforting. because it's normal in his eyes.]
Sure.
[he brushes his hair out of his face, careful to police his expression so that it's not super obvious that he's overthinking everything at the moment. his fingers start to twirl at his hair now, pushing everything aside other than the game that Komaeda had proposed.
even if it was kind of silly.]
Hit me.
[a beat.]
What happens if I lose?
[not that he typically likes to, but he's just asking!!]
no subject
( komaeda's voice is low, soothing as he attempts to grab the attention of his partner on the other side. his eyes lift from the cards, trained on joshua, curious of what moves he'll take in this little game of metaphorical chess. he plays nice for now considering what's on the contract to allow him to help out. breaking it probably means speaking to rika, and while she has enough on her plate when it comes to handling the fundraiser — he can make himself a problem for someone else. it's not hard to fall into the rhythm with joshua, to forgo being a troublemaker, and dealing with someone so like-minded. it gives him a sense of comfort, perhaps because being dangerous doesn't matter anymore — it's always up in the air when one person has to go against themselves, but he doubts joshua would reject his efforts.
hope, death encouraging other's to overcome their hardships, and things of that matter isn't unfamiliar. he may not know joshua closely, but komaeda does clear his throat to speak regularly — that suave disposition he placed himself in gone, and back to the "normalcy" that he knows. )
It's a shame no one can hang this time around, huh?
( he smiles gently, his eyes glancing around the room over the thought of who could die potentially, and a reference to joshua's words on the pda that one time. everyone's a stepping stone for one another, and anyone could do the job with being killed to promote growth, to feed the roots of the plants that are starving. it's exciting to think about whose hope would feed from the corpse — there's a list of names that come to mind who would benefit from it, and he think joshua too would enjoy himself. )
If you lose... you'll take my place as a host...
( he questions, touching one of the cards to slide in joshua's direction, and komaeda thin fingers flip it up to reveal two of spades. curious, komaeda's already counting the player's cards in his head, aware that this can go one of two ways. )
And serve me, how does that sound? Hahaha.
no subject
What a shame...it'd add a little flair, wouldn't it?
[he's mostly just being an ass here, because he knows it'd be a horrible idea to make a scene like that right here, not after he's still trying to make sense of the whole situation. though it seems like Komaeda is just as thirsty for entertainment as he is, and it amuses the hell out of him.
which is probably a bad thing.]
I haven't served someone in some time...
[Josh tilts his head at the new card, considering. does he be risky or no...?]
I'll stand.
[he's going to play it safe this time.]
no subject
If you want to talk about it you can, I won't stop you.
( his choice made, komaeda follows the rules to tap on the king that he has, and his fingers shift to the side to grab the card he had peeked at before. with a slow breath, he flips it over to reveal a two of diamonds. he picks up the card to lay it on the side of his king, revealing his number to the player to look over. a natural twelve, and according to the rules of blackjack, this means komaeda has to take hits until he meets seventeen or goes over. with that in mind, his hand hovers over the deck of cards: )
How exciting! I wonder what position we'll be in...
( well, when it comes to lucky gambles like this, komaeda's able to keep a smile despite knowing how this typically works out. his luck plays a great factor in his life between keeping him out of danger, and allowing things to play in his favor, but right now he's not too worried about that. )
I'll finish this on one draw... two would be wasting our time, don't you think?
no subject
[what in the innuendo did he just say--
anyway. Joshua doesn't think about it for too long, because he's watching Komaeda pretty intently. normally, he would hate to lose, but losing to someone like him wouldn't be too bad. especially when something is so up to chance, and he can't rig the odds in his favor...
it's actually kind of exciting.
so Josh rests his elbow on the table, resting the side of his head against his hand as he looks back up at the other.]
Take your time. More time makes the finish more intense, don't you think?
[i cannot believe these two.]
no subject
( ask him about where he's positioned when he's talking to an ultimate and his tune will change drastically, but since there's not one nearby to make that happen... he keeps his little devilish grin. it's like he's enjoying himself with the way his fingers linger over the last card. )
To think you want to hold out with me, it's fine... we'll finish together, don't worry about that.
( just in case joshua was worried about it, as his host, he has to ensure that he makes the most out of their time together, even if it means extending it just for a little longer. anticipation is probably one of the greatest feelings they can have, especially when so much is riding on it. )
No matter how messy the ending is, we'll do as we agreed.
no subject
[i hate this.............
they're both enjoying this way too much, a verbal chess match with a side of innuendo. it's probably one of the best things that Joshua has going for him right now, seeing as how he's still...investigating...some of the things around here.
""investigating""]
Of course. I don't go back on my word.
[probably not to Komaeda, anyway...because either way, he finds this all hella amusing.]
So the winner is...?
no subject
( enough delaying, he isn't supposed to edge his master, he shouldn't do things as play the long game with his twin who is waiting for the climax of their engagement. as komaeda reaches out to grab his second card, it's without any hesitation it's flipped onto the other side to reveal a nine of clubs, and komaeda chuckles softly. as he taps the king of spades: )
Ten.
( his hand shifts to the two of diamonds. )
Twelve.
( and finally, he traces the outline of the club on the nine that he has as his eyes lift up to look the other in his own. )
Twenty-one...~ I hope you're good at purring to catch the attention of your future customers.
( wink. )
no subject
[what does that even mean Joshua.
one of his eyebrows raise when he loses though, and he leans back a bit as the other looks at him. he doesn't really seem that angry -- he seems more amused than anything, and he leans back onto the table.]
How unfortunate...I'm not used to serving others, but I guess it doesn't hurt to switch it up a little bit. I assume I'd have to serve you first?
no subject
( that he's that kind of person or that it's unfortunate? either way, he's not thinking about it as he lifts up from his chair, pushing it away as he makes his way over to josh. with his hands up, komaeda's fiddling with the hair tie in his hair, contemplating whether to remove it or not. he got saihara to fix it up for him because komaeda's no good at doing hair aside from the basic brushing for a dog, or just waking up like that — moving on. he's slipping the band off which forces his hair to stick up almost normal (it's down a little, but a few stray pieces of hair are fighting against staying in place), and komaeda stands right in front of josh.
he places the hair tie in his mouth, holding onto it as he bends his knee to settle on the chair right between josh's legs — his mechanical hand settles along the top rail of the chair, keeping him in place so that he doesn't fall into the other. as for his organic, he raises it to the male's hair, running his fingers through softly locks as he pulls those light, strands into his hair to make a ponytail for him. nothing similar to what komaeda had, there's too many fluffy pieces that's managed to slip out from komaeda's hold, and the precision to make it look nice isn't all there — just the normal, hand-me-down, or put-me-up ponytail.
his mechanical hand lifts from the arm rest as he plucks the hair tie from his mouth, and he brings it around the male's heads to slip it onto his hair — )
I doubt this will be pretty hard for you, or maybe it will be. ( ... ) First thing's first... remove my tie —
( it's not even on properly, crooked as if it's been messily fiddled with, but he doesn't care even with some of his collarbone visible. it's not a hard task, and besides, komaeda's looking down on him waiting. )
no subject
he wasn't really expecting Komaeda to get all up in his personal space. it's kind of strange when it's not him getting into someone else's personal space, but since it's Komaeda and he kind of lost a bet, he's going to let it slide. so he lets the other mess with his hair, pulling it up into a ponytail (even though it's probably small since his hair is on the shorter side), and listening to what's coming out of his mouth now.
i can't deal with this.]
That was fast...you couldn't wait for me to become the servant, hm?
[but Josh is going to listen anyway, reaching up to take off the other's tie -- it's a mess anyway...not that he can really be talking about looking a mess.
but Josh is a put together mess.]
Maybe you just want to see it.
no subject
( he says easily, almost like he's supposed to have this control, and he should considering he's an ultimate. it's a little weird at times, having someone that isn't what he is somewhat understand his efforts, his view of the world. as he looks into josh's eyes, komaeda hums softly first before he chuckles after, almost like he's humored by this.
as the bowtie is slowly undone, it slips from around his neck with the use of josh's talented fingers, and komaeda watches in interest. it's only in a matter of moments does the item belong to the other, and the "master" contemplates what should be done next. his fingers finally leave from his hair, now resting on the male's shoulders — )
Ahaha... yeah, I want to see it. ( he pauses, and like an order: ) On you, I mean... understand that dressing the part is vital, and that way you can become my affable servant.
