player event: fundraiser
dorm fundraiser log

Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.
CLASSROOM 3-A
Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.
The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.
CLASSROOM 3-B
Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.
Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!
HALLWAY
The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...
Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:
Nene"A cute girl with a smile that's sure to heal your heart! The Sheep Among The Wolves, Nene Yashiro!"Kaede"There's no one better for a motherly, guiding touch! Our Lady of Passion, Kaede Akamatsu!"Natsume"Boys in skirts is certainly a bold choice for the year we're in, but if you can make it work... The Double-Crossing Crossdresser, Natsume Sakasaki!"Noah"Young but wise in the ways of love, this quiet boy offers an experience like no other! The Epitome of a Youthful Spring, Noah Ebalon!"Lucifer"Get lucky and you might just see his morning star rise! The Virtue of Patience, Lucifer!"Sara"She's serious and seriously not playing! The Hands-On Detective, Sara Chidouin!"Komaeda"The skin of a killer glitters with the light of hope! Despair's Friendly Foe, Nagito Komaeda!"Hinata"Even most normal-looking boys have something to offer! The Stand-Out Everyman, Hinata Hajime!"Hajun"You can't trust a man with looks this good, can you? The Octopus Trap of the Heart, Hajun Yeon!"Gundham"He's a friend to all things, living or dead! Yogen's Catastroprince of Ice, Gundham Tanaka!"Subaru"If you're feeling a little lonely tonight, why not make a wish on the first star you see? The Sparkling Knight of the Night Sky, Subaru Akehoshi!"
Well? Have you decided yet?
sparknotes
‣
All the maids and hosts come equipped with one (1) pair of cat ears and a set of clothes prepared by the sewing club, if you don't have your own attire.
‣
All the background people who are helping with the organizational stuff, as well as cooking, cleaning, etc, can feel free to wear the cat ears, too!
‣
Feel free to mingle, join in as a volunteer host/maid late, get dragged in to do work, leave your posts, whatever else you feel like doing, tbh.
‣
Cause too much trouble for anyone, though, and Rika's gonna come bonk you with her sword. Or Liz with Thanatos, whoever's there first.
‣
Any complaints can be directed to our offcial organizer, Ishimaru Kiyotaka. Bless his heart.

( it's almost like komaeda's judging him, but it's fine, he can work this out. he shakes his head, pointing at himself as he figures this will do the trick.
also an alice counterpoint: force people to share a dorm room and it'll be like locking people in a closet together, it's their Get Along shirt room edition )
I find that sharing a room with another person will give them the chance to strengthen their bonds, and cultivate hope. Would you really want to miss out on a chance like that? ...Besides, if I don't have a roommate, I'll just kill someone.
( :) )
no subject
Is that a threat?! [It's the last thing he wants to hear. Not so soon after he buried Chihiro.]
You do not need a roommate. No, what you need is a warden!
no subject
( yeah, he's ignoring ishimaru's stress for the sake of his own wants and desires, but that's very komaeda of him to do. )
Who would you want to share a room with, Ishimaru-kun? Ah... don't make such a face, you'll scare people off.
no subject
His glower just intensifies at Komaeda's comment, but he tries to utter a response anyway.]
If I had to share a room with someone, it would have to be someone who operated on a similar schedule as me, to ensure that neither of us disturbs the other's sleep. I would want to room with someone else who believes in hard work, so that we could encourage each other and work hard together. Furthermore, it would be nice if that person knows at least one subject that I am not well-versed in, so that our shared living could also be a learning experience for me.

( look, he's trying to see who ishimaru would want if he got the chance to pick, there's nothing bad about this. he should have expected this type of ideal person from him, and while he hopes he can find someone to fill those shoes — komaeda's choice is more straightforward. just someone who embodies a heavy amount of hope so he can sleep good at night, and maybe use them as a pillow, those little things. hope has to be comfortable. )
What about... Meng Yao, he appears to be someone who fits those qualifications.
( sighs ) I don't like the idea of Ultimates with others who aren't Ultimates, but... there's hope in that person.
no subject
Yes, if I did have a roommate, Meng Yao-kun would be a fine choice. I am sure that we would both be respectful of each other's spaces, and he- he has been a good friend. [Meng Yao's been a very supportive friend and helped him through some of his low points. He has also learned about Meng Yao's dubious past, but he still sees him as a good person in the present. He would absolutely be a front runner for potential roommate material.]
I can agree with you on that much.

( now ishimaru said it himself that it'd be a learning experience, and if komaeda can get him to see eye to eye on that much then perhaps it could happen. komaeda's already aware that it's about fifty rooms, but perhaps they'll be able to cut that in half? he should be paying attention to the relationship being told to him though — meng yao and ishimaru — and while komaeda's not too fond of the idea of ultimates not crowded with the rest of the ultimates... )
I want to have someone who can teach me their morals... everyone deserves to have a good friend by their side in the same room. That way hope can be born from them understanding one another, do you think you can make that happen...
( 🥺 )
no subject
Of course, people do not need to live in the same room to understand and learn from each other. After all, if you truly wish to learn about morals, I am willing to give you personal lessons at any time!
no subject
Yep, thank you, Ishimaru-kun! If there's anyway my body can be of service to you — ( he's grabbing his hands, looking the other in his eyes... bats his lashes. ) ...You can give me personal lessons alone anytime!
no subject
[Ishimaru did not know that he could care about personal space until he met Komaeda. Smiling nervously, he tries to squirm his way backwards.]
...Y-yes, I would be glad to give you personal lessons on morality... and personal space! [Even if, thus far, he really seems possibly incapable of truly learning them!]
no subject
( he's going to follow him every step he takes back unless the other tells him to fuck off, because he can... at that point. )
I want to have personal lessons on your hope...

But I have other matters to oversee around the festival! We can get started at another time. P-please try to behave yourself in the meantime!
