dorm fundraiser log

Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.

CLASSROOM 3-A

Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.

The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.

CLASSROOM 3-B

Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.

Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!

HALLWAY

The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...

Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:

Kaede

Mammon lost a bet, and as a consequence I had to work at a popular club for a few nights... because he has to rope everyone else into his crimes.

[Lucifer learnt to pole dance but he's not saying that right now. That's a story for later.]

That aside, all I need right now is a break from the caterwauling. I don't know if you're aware of this, but people can get quite rambunctious. My head hurts from the screaming.

( what a chaotic family. and yet, as the eldest brother of his own, sidney knows there's very little you wouldn't do for a sibling in need. )

You've been on the floor for a while. It's likely time for a break anyways. I've been pretty adept at keeping anyone out of the break room who's not supposed to be there.

[A smirk, because it's Lucifer and if he doesn't look like a sarcastic asshole at any one moment he's frankly not doing his job.]

( it's said with a smirk- the kind that says 'if you ever get what you want from me i'm still going to be annoying'- and sidney grabs some of the empty bottles and plate packs to clean up, so that the trip isn't entirely flirting. ) Come along, though we might have some followers for a little bit.

Not just the obliviousness, but the answer. It was a combined effort. ...I'm beginning to wonder if this whole charade is worth it. [Sigh.] Assuming we get rooms at all in the end, I wonder if we'll wind up encountering something far worse there than what's in here.

but right now, there's work to be done, and smiles keep showing. even ishimaru- lord knows the boy's been through the wringer more than most- is... okay, today. )

That, alone, is... I can't claim it's enough. But... it's certainly something.

[Yes, the meeting. The meeting that was going relatively well, and Lucifer had been proud of everyone in the room for keeping their shit together for once, until... sigh.]

It certainly is something. A break from the doom and gloom, I say.

... Not of my own, but after I quit the force- so to speak- I became a teacher. My sister, however, had two. Louis and Josephine.

( even now, thinking of the kids brings a fond smile to his face- you've found one of his weak points, lucifer. )

Josie wanted to run away and join the circus- not because she was unhappy, she just thought it sounded exciting. She was always chasing adventures. And Lou changed his mind on what he wanted to do every week. Kid ate everything the world had to offer him. He was brilliant.

We lived close by, I saw them a lot.

He's a fairly young angel, yaps like a dog, gets fairly tunnel vision about everything... but to his credit, he's a positive influence on the world. I wish he wasn't on about Michael so much, though. Most angels are.

... When I was younger, all I'd wanted was to make the world a better place. And for a long time I thought that working with the law would do that- but... it's not so simple. Not that I need to tell you that I'm sure. But after escaping the manor, with everything I knew a thing of the past, I didn't know what to do.

... Becoming a teacher felt like a better step in that.

I think you had the right idea. You're a good-natured human, I can tell that much. The thing that makes humans interesting is how varied they are. [Listen to him, he sounds like Lilith now.] That's the difference between humans and demons — you're on a sliding scale of good vs. evil, arguing day in and day out about moral rights and wrongs and usually finding yourselves somewhere in a vague grey area. Then there are demons, ever the evil-aligned creatures, not caring one way or another if the world falls to ruin.

...Before I Fell, I used to care a lot about the world, is what I'm saying. Somewhere along the lines I realised that the world at large will always be a cruel, callous place, and decided I'd only protect what mattered to me on a small scale. I suppose I admire your tenacity.

... Believe me, I used to be more idealistic. ( but he was a darker-skinned man who loved and was attracted to other men in a time worse than they currently are. in a toxic field of work. trying and trying against a flood of corruption... it just. wears a hopeful man down. ) But as important as it is to look at your peers around you, it's far more important to look at the ones who'll take your place. Corruption and cruelty are taught, for humans. Kindness comes naturally... but it has to be nurtured.

So I'll do what I can, and I'll hope that it's enough.
