player event: fundraiser

dorm fundraiser log
Just for the weekend, the classrooms 3-A and 3-B have been transformed into a host club and a maid cafe, respectively. The students are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring their parents, siblings and whoever else to come help raise funds for the dorms. The promotional poster hangs on the wall between the classrooms, its' artist unknown and left uncredited.
CLASSROOM 3-A
Aka the temporary home of a maid cafe. Decorated mostly in golds and blues, just for today, the students can indulge the illusion of being a Master and having some semblance of control in their lives.

The cafe serves coffee, tea, placebo love potions that taste like strawberry soda, omurice donated by the cooking club with an option to request a message written in ketchup, and a variety of sweets, including baked goods prepared by the transfer students. Some of our cute maids include Kaede, Nene, Natsume, Noah, and, for a very brief time, Rika — though she quickly leaves to tend to the love spell booth. A little far off from that happens to be the kissing booth, ran by Subaru and Komaeda, as well as the charm-selling booth ran by Natsume. Any treats the students offered up for sale will be displayed on a makeshift menu written down on the chalkboard, with slightly-exaggerated prices, because this is a fundraiser and we can't have people skimp out.
CLASSROOM 3-B
Next up, the host club, with Lucifer, Sara, Hinata, Komaeda, Hajun, Gundham and Subaru working in shifts to appease the picky tastes of any students who feel like becoming a refined Ojou-sama.

Just like the Maid cafe, the Host club offers a variety of foods donated by the students, with an additional option to order an alcohol-less champagne, which is really just bubbly soda served in a champagne glass. But, you know, for the realism... A bit further into the classroom, you'll find Gundham's cartomancy booth, as well as Shuichi's lost & found booth. You're free to request as many hosts as you want for the occasion, and make them drink as much of the bubbly soda as you wish, all for a price, of course — and if someone's stomach starts to hurt, well... that's why they take turns!
HALLWAY
The festivities take part long before you enter either classroom, however...

Outside, you can find little Turing, who's all dressed up and eager to help and provide information about the boths, as well as our lovely Elizabeth, who, on top of making snow cones with her very fearsome persona, is offering quick-and-easy introductions for each maid and host, to make your choice that much simpler! Simply name whoever you're interested in, and you'll get to hear a witty line about them:

Nene
"A cute girl with a smile that's sure to heal your heart! The Sheep Among The Wolves, Nene Yashiro!"
Kaede
"There's no one better for a motherly, guiding touch! Our Lady of Passion, Kaede Akamatsu!"
Natsume
"Boys in skirts is certainly a bold choice for the year we're in, but if you can make it work... The Double-Crossing Crossdresser, Natsume Sakasaki!"
Noah
"Young but wise in the ways of love, this quiet boy offers an experience like no other! The Epitome of a Youthful Spring, Noah Ebalon!"
Lucifer
"Get lucky and you might just see his morning star rise! The Virtue of Patience, Lucifer!"
Sara
"She's serious and seriously not playing! The Hands-On Detective, Sara Chidouin!"
Komaeda
"The skin of a killer glitters with the light of hope! Despair's Friendly Foe, Nagito Komaeda!"
Hinata
"Even most normal-looking boys have something to offer! The Stand-Out Everyman, Hinata Hajime!"
Hajun
"You can't trust a man with looks this good, can you? The Octopus Trap of the Heart, Hajun Yeon!"
Gundham
"He's a friend to all things, living or dead! Yogen's Catastroprince of Ice, Gundham Tanaka!"
Subaru
"If you're feeling a little lonely tonight, why not make a wish on the first star you see? The Sparkling Knight of the Night Sky, Subaru Akehoshi!"

Well? Have you decided yet?
sparknotes
All the maids and hosts come equipped with one (1) pair of cat ears and a set of clothes prepared by the sewing club, if you don't have your own attire.
All the background people who are helping with the organizational stuff, as well as cooking, cleaning, etc, can feel free to wear the cat ears, too!
Feel free to mingle, join in as a volunteer host/maid late, get dragged in to do work, leave your posts, whatever else you feel like doing, tbh.
Cause too much trouble for anyone, though, and Rika's gonna come bonk you with her sword. Or Liz with Thanatos, whoever's there first.
Any complaints can be directed to our offcial organizer, Ishimaru Kiyotaka. Bless his heart.

Yeah, I'm sure. I mean... I don't come from a very safe world, so maybe it's that.

[He goes to collect the knives, noting the crowd watching that display, and decides he might as well practice a bit. If nothing else, because it's kind of fun to do? As long as no one walks in front of the poster, it's actually something he might try to do more. Like how some people do archery as a hobby.

...Clamor will kill him later, but it's fine.]

You have to be sort of quick to adapt to things, or you'll die pretty quickly.

[Noah has PTSD, it's fine.]

[Joshua eyes the poster, thinking that with just a little bit more practice, Noah would actually be really good at this...

why he would ever need someone to know how to throw knives, he wasn't sure -- but he'll figure that out later.]

Good thing I'm adaptable, then. I'd hate to die here...but it sounds like you have experience with it.

[he's nosy, okay!!]

[It's something to pass the time, surely. A skill he might be able to use back home when he goes back to hunting down the cult that slaughtered his brother — ahem.]

I kept saying in the beginning, [and then his expression darkens, something horribly sad passing over his features as he walks over to collect the knives again,] that as long as I was here, I wouldn't let people die. That was months ago, and... I failed on that front, didn't I?

[The next knife he tosses sticks a little more firmly into the wall. He keeps his voice low, lest some curious students cheering him on overhear.]

"You can't save everyone." That's what I keep hearing. But in an ideal world, I'd like to try.

[His experiences with death and dying are quite literal, too — he's died and come back more times than he'd like to admit, something he's never disclosed to anyone here save for a couple trusted confidants. Even then, to admit to someone you've died and come back not once, but at least three or four times, is uncomfortable as it is — not to mention he can remember each and every time it happened in visceral detail. So, yes, he has experience, but perhaps not in the way he'd like people to think.]
