[Josh was about to answer, his mouth opening, when out comes Hinata. he raises an eyebrow at him, and then puts his hands in his pockets for just a moment as he considers the situation.

but it doesn't take him long to realize the blood shit that's happening here. and. Komaeda's little puppy expression.

Don't worry about it, it wasn't even loaded. But I guess I should go grab something for that--[he nods towards the IV]--before we make more trouble for ourselves.

[he's not all that unopposed to more trouble, but that's not what he expected to happen at all...!

[It's fortunate that Komaeda comes over and even more fortunate that Josh is moving to get a more permanent solution, because Hinata has no memory of what happens when blood hits the floor in this school. It's not nearly enough to kill, but Hinata did pull from an artery, so blood will soak Komaeda's hand pretty fast. Help.

It's the farthest thing from his mind, even as his head swims, because Hinata can't help but see red as he stares at Komaeda with worried anger.]

How can you tell me to take better care of myself when you just- [He breaks off with a wounded yet frustrated noise. His eyes are burning like he's about to cry and Hinata hates it.] Did you even know the gun wasn't loaded before you...?

[He trails off. Can't say it. Thinks he'll be sick if he even tries.]

( he can see the blood slipping through the cracks of his fingers, and he knows that squeezing tighter won't do any good. instead, he reaches for the attire that hinata is wearing, trying to press the male's arm against himself to slow the bleeding. )

This isn't about me, Hinata-kun... you're making a mess.

( he ignores the comment, knowing that he's upset, and komaeda's glancing every so often at the direction josh walked off to as he waits for him to return. at least he doesn't have to hear hinata yelling at him, or maybe he does... this is slightly embarrassing. )

It might've been loaded, I didn't click eno — .... ( maybe he shouldn't say that. ) Kiryu-kun, did you find anything?

[Josh is going to come out with some sort of fabric now, which might be a part of blanket or idk something. he walks over to the two now, holding it out to Komaeda--

--because he's not about to get blood on his hands.]

[he's still slownodding Hinata here, even though he's pretending he didn't hear the whole conversation. at least for now.]

[Komaeda doesn't finish it but he doesn't need to; it's enough for Hinata to guess at what he's saying. Enough for that burning to turn to real tears, even if they don't spill over.

When he hears what Joshua says when he returns, Hinata turns his gaze on him, eyes still bright and sharp with adrenaline. Hopefully Komaeda is wrapping that wound because Hinata isn't paying it any mind.]

It seems like he doesn't care about himself enough for that.

[Very unfortunately, Hinata is taking that as being about Komaeda and not himself even though he's. Literally bleeding, alright then.]

Is that why? [Hinata chances another look back at Komaeda, searching his face like there'll be an answer there. Like there's any other answer that can be gained from what he tried to do.] Is it just that you don't care what happens, or...?

( josh really doesn't like getting his hands dirty, and while komaeda respects that, he doesn't mind doing it himself. some days he'd rather not make a mess, and other days, hinata has to act recklessly by pulling his iv from his arm. there's two types of attitudes that are surrounding komaeda, and he hums in thought while using the cloth to wrap around the other's arm. it's tight, his attempt to slow the blood flow as he takes a step forward, wanting hinata to walk backwards towards his room. )

...You should thank Kiryu-kun for being so considerate towards you.

( at least someone is at the moment, how kind a stranger can be towards another... or well, "strangers". he sighs first, his voice low as he continues to lock his gaze with hinata's. )

He saved you a lot of trouble, as you can't ever let your blood taint these floors...

( he's making this agreement for him, and he pauses, his attention now on josh as he smiles. ) You must have a six sense for danger, thank you for coming around.

[Joshua is going to back up because it seems like these two are kind of having a Moment. it's kind of interesting, because he doesn't seem to know as much about Komaeda, so he kind of wants to observe.
