On Tuesday, after classes are long over and clubs just about wrapping up, those studying inside the library may notice black smoke start to fill the room. With the lack of sound, the library relies on flashing strobe lights to alert students of an emergency and the librarian with her piercing stare and domineering presence to order students to pack and leave IMMEDIATELY. The longer one lingers inside the library, the greater the sense of dread builds inside of them until they're unable to resist the student council members who have come to escort the last of the stragglers out, physically if need be.
Outside of the library, gathering students speculate about what happened, whether there was a fire, what were they planning to burn, maybe they were trying to get back at the librarian— who looks positively livid, by the way, and maybe staying clear of the library for several days until she cools off isn't a bad idea, although students will have no choice as the student council members standing guard at the door prevent anybody from reentering the library until it is deemed safe.
The library is closed for the rest of the week, and a sign on the door states that it will reopen on Monday the 19th.

Around half an hour after midnight, those sleeping on the third floor in or near the second year classrooms may feel the ground shudder beneath them. They, uh, may actually want to relocate very soon, because water bursts out of the bathroom and floods the entire floor with very cold, light pink water.
Is that a finger floating down the hall? Yeah... yeah.
By the time the first of the faculty arrives at six in the morning, the entire third floor is flooded, and water has traveled down the stairwell to the lower floors as well, although there isn't as much water as one would think, as if something more is blocking the pipes and preventing all the water from rushing out of the burst pipe at once. The water is shut off for the rest of the day so repairs can be done and the floors mopped down and dried, with the second and third years relocated to the club rooms and auditorium for classes, and the bathroom by 2-D is closed for repairs until Monday the 19th.
When the water is turned on again at the end of the day, it is still very very faintly tinged pink.

Considering that it's the middle of the night and most people, if they need to sleep, are doing so, it may be a while before anybody wanders into the auditorium. When they do, they're stricken with a bout of vertigo that passes almost as soon as it starts, and they may notice a body on the ground in front of the largest glass case in the back of the room. As in, the body inside the case is still there, and now there is a second body lying on the ground in front of it in a pool of dark red blood. A charming little note has been stuck to the front of the body's uniform, and a fluffy white cat runs out of the room while a skinny black cat peers at whoever is there from behind the large glass case.
Whether the people who initially discover the body decide to look for clues first or go wake and gather everybody to bring to the auditorium, they should be aware that the other students and faculty will be arriving in just a little over two hours. What are y'all going to do!!! You tell me.

Whether the body is left or moved, though, a missing student quickly becomes obvious, and the assistant principal orders a school assembly in the auditorium on Monday the 19th, looking very pale and slightly sick, which may or may not be due to the presence of a ...very realistic """doll""" on display in a glass case behind her. She announces that the student council president has passed away, and that students who report information regarding the situation to the faculty will receive merit points for their assistance, and whoever can provide indisputable proof of what happened and who was involved will receive 300 merit points, enough to put them well above even the best of students.
She also brings up the destruction in the library the other day, and how the pipes had burst overnight, and how the ceiling tiles seem to have been falling in places and have led the janitor to discover rats in the walls. Since the school will be closed over spring break, she will be having repairmen do extensive repairs on the school, including a very thorough fumigation to ensure no rats or bugs or anything of the sort left inside the school will come out of spring break alive.

Although the library and the bathroom by 2-D are closed until the 19th, the doors are not locked and both rooms are accessible for investigation when the npcs are not present.

Investigation: Not as much investigation as "where is the corpse" when investigations cease for reference as necessary! He's a terrible priest but respecc the dead, people.
Time: Immediately following the investigation "phase"
Action: Abel will cover Corpse-chan in a sheet from the home ec room and take her to the clock tower for privacy. There was some chatter in plurk about putting the body on ice to preserve it/prevent it from decomposing, so if you want to help with that, please let me know!! They can't give her a proper burial so ensuring she isn't manhandled or gawked over is the next best thing huh. TL;DR - If anyone needs to take another look at her, the Clock Tower is where she'll be post-discovery. Abel will be keeping an eye on her if you want to stop by.

We can say that the assistant principal eventually has mouse traps set on the stairwell leading up to the clock tower and that warning and very real danger will keep the npcs out of it and the pcs will just have to step very very carefully if they need to go up to the clock tower for whatever reason.

That said he is thankful to the priest, and will have a quick over view of the body himself. He just wants to see if there were any obvious signs of defending herself - and also view at the tally marks on her wrist. Any and all wounds should be vindictively present especially if time has past and she's been dead for some time. He's killed people, been in war, and can tell any signs of a struggle present that often isn't inherently seen.
1. They can be viewed small marks - indents on the skin. That bruise slightly - small crescent shapes. Looking for them along her - was she grabbed? Did she get stabbed elsewhere, hit, maimed, tortured? He knows a thing or two about being tortured, so he is unfortunately looking for that. He is rather respectful in how he moves her but curious none-the-less. At this point if nothing is there to dignify any form or case of a struggle. Then she were just murdered and moved. Which brings up another point - if she were moved then her body will be bruised a certain way. Her arm is broken and ragged - was this when she were alive or dead? If there is swelling then alive, if there isnt then dead.
2. Alarmed but respectful, he tries to mind her gentle head. It's broken into so theres v little he can do but hes looking at the wound itself - any signs of pieces of something embedded into her head there. Lays her down, and nimbly dresses a thumb on her face. As if she were a beautiful princess merely sleeping. He hopes that in the next life - or her soul will find piece some where and somehow.
3. Tally marks, he notices them and doesnt know - so he thinks that shes one of them, "We should see if the body in the case has tally marks." he'll ask @ anyone. because then this means people with tally marks are being pursued and they all need to be on high alert. He tries to recall her during the late night, hes up at all hours. Did he ever see her? His are still sore, but hers seem different in color perhaps now that shes dead? Or if as Ori has said - she was a transfer student in Middleschool - did they heal and scar? Or were they are brand new as Gawains, sore even still. So he touches them with a finger to see if they react or do anything.
4. Is she bleeding only from her head? If she were poisoned no one would be able to tell, but he wonders just how calm she were when the other died.

1) The scratches on her skin are straight more than curved, and don't look like fingernails or robe bindings. The bruising on her arms don't match up with handprints or somebody grabbing her too hard, but are round bruises you'd see if hit with something. There is no swelling on the broken arm, so Gawain can conclude that it was broken after she was already dead!
2) There isn't anything embedded in the back of her head. Her soul will be at peace if you guys figure out this murder!!
3) He has never seen her around at school at night, and her tally marks look almost new, no healing or scarring. Touching the tally marks do nothing.
4) She is bleeding only from her head. Her expression is almost peaceful, but seeing as the facial muscles relax after death, that might not mean anything.

1) Someone hit her many times? Oof this poor girl, deserved far better then being treated the way that she were. Gawain clutches onto her hand as if he were the one having lost someone dear. He hopes that they can find the murderer inevitably.
