[ "friendly" and "ghost" aren't often words you'd see together, and Hiro doubts his ability to be a good conversationalist by any stretch of the word ...but his expression does soften when Natsume says that she's like a sister, because that, at least, is something he understands. A sibling who gets lonely easily, who isn't the best at standing out or getting along with others, but nothing would make you happier than if they were to make friends and find some happiness themselves.

He shakes his head at the off-hand comment about selfishness, and holds his hand flat in line with his brow, asking how they would see her ]

and for all the patience they have, Keigo's going to ask that they eat breakfast on the rooftop while Subaru keeps an eye on the sky and gives their arm a shake like "look!!!" when something happens and hope both their reflexes are fast enough ]

yes they can have breakfast on the rooftop and he'll definitely make sure they catch sight of at least a couple of them, they'll get used to the little shakes and have a pavlov reaction to looking up when he touches their arm]

( "what are you making?" goes over his head because he's not listening, he's too busy staring at his piece of wood. he's never carved before, so it'd be a new activity that he doesn't know how to properly process with someone else.

he's going through his head at the moment to see what he should do, what he shouldn't do... paws reach out to brush against the surface of it, and when there's a small catch of his furred glove, he'll remove it to trace his organic finger against the wood instead. )
