( so, after much consideration, going out of his way to wake kamo-kun up for today is probably not the way to go. if anything, they deserve as much sleep as they can get before being pestered, so even though amami is getting up particularly early for the occasion, he'll patiently wait, flipping through a book while he does. however long it takes though, he doesn't seem to mind, and his reaction is the same no matter when he notices them stirring from their sleep. )

[amami had promised subaru he'd only keep them into the afternoon, so at the very least the evening is his -- as it so often is, with the skies darkening ever earlier... and with the student body disappeared for the day save for their own unusual handful of hanger-ons subaru's more free with his affection, just as he'd been during their time at the cultural festival.

a simple, normal date is what amami had said would be advisable; subaru knows that too, since they don't need anything big, anything spectacular and have always been the sort of person who finds it "enough" just to be around others, but he still wants to make it a little special... that's just how he is.

so what'll make the usual night special is him taking them back to the student store of all things, a place they so rarely if ever spend time together, where it's been decorated with stars outlined in glow-in-the-dark paint courtesy of nene's guidance last month, the suncatchers moved slightly to group a little tighter for a brighter glow at a particular spot of the store. subaru'll make keigo sit down on the counter, leaving a moment to change into the very same sparkling outfit he wore at the cultural festival just outside, before fiddling with his phone and there's subaru's voice coming from it briefly to count off before this begins to play, and the subaru in front of them singing along with it, warm and gentle and different than the wild excitement that keigo had heard the opening day from this very room.

a private little performance for them for their birthday, with a song that means a lot more to subaru than anyone could know. this is the endcap to their day, subaru's making sure the last thing that makes them smile is him.]

[It has become a habit know for Ishimaru to make some rock pulls at the beginning of the month. He was initially hopeful about getting something special that could be helpful in some way, but he was easily pleased with the ordinary rocks that he got. He used them to help with his studies of geology and to decorate his room! He did also very much appreciate the voucher he got last month. And on top of that, it all ended up feeling like a comforting, innocent tradition to uphold each month.

anyway subaru's set komaeda to go pick up rocchan this fine sunday that he's definitely coming to watch a movie with subaru and surprise guest keigo (who simply got asked if they wanted to watch a movie with him, maddy, and rocchan (who he describes as a friend in the art club))... they are gonna watch sunset boulevard, which i have been told is very good by nms because i have not seen it myself, and they are all allowed to bring one (1) movie snack to quietly eat!
