Haha... You make it sound as if I'm omniscient.
[ ... ]
I like both cats.
no subject
( he knows so much, he's aware of everything thing happens here, and it's almost like he plays god. with the barriers around the school that he sets up, )
Are you the reason we can't leave the school, why we pass out?
( ... )
I like both, too.
no subject
He smiles ]
What do you like about the cats? Can you like something you don't even know?
no subject
I'm aware of one, but I like how soft and fluffy she is... white and the other black, sickly and aggressive. I don't get attached to living things that much.
( he nods to himself, looking at the counselor. )
...Will you let us leave without passing out? ( or is that another if they stop believing they'll pass out, they'll make it through. )
no subject
You say that as if I'm a gatekeeper. Freedom is something much more satisfying when attained through your own efforts. It's not an experience I will be taking away from you.
no subject
( you know, he could say no, and then they'd just find some other means of doing so, but now that he thinks about it... attained through their efforts, it's like the adderstone that helps them see ghosts, maybe there's something that lets them pass. )
It could be an item, or we just luck into it...
( oh arata-san, how you make him think. )
You and the rest of them have that in common, though...
no subject
Do you still think yourself as apart from the rest?
no subject
No.
( ask him if he's lying. )
no subject
[ It doesn't matter to him if Komaeda is lying. Sometimes, lies say just as much as the truth. ]
Tell me about those you are with.
no subject
( equivalent exchange or something like that, but he guesses there are people he's with more than others. as he thinks about it, that's the scariest part, and he's already looking down at the ground figuring if he's made a mistake. )
no subject
[ For him, it's an easy answer. There's him himself. The faculty, old and new. The cats, to some extent. The school...? ... ]
...There are many, aren't there? Even if in the smallest of ways... You don't need to stand side by side with everyone, you hold no responsibility to push them from behind nor lead from up front. But the threads are there. I can see them.
no subject
( he walks back over to the desk counselor is sitting on, and he pulls himself up to cross his legs, he also is willing to give back the nuts he took. )
I've always known that, my position when it comes to helping them. If I push them the entire way, then I'd take after Sisyphus, because they'll only roll back down. They haven't learned anything if it's only my efforts, but I don't mind a small push, because then they'll have to figure out what to do to avoid falling to the ground.
( clearing his throat, he thinks of the people here that he speaks with, and then he looks down at the ground for a moment to search for any bloodstains that might still be there, like the one he found under his desk once. )
Name me two people, and I'll speak.
no subject
Kiyoshi, and Akeru.
[ Two names. Your turn. ]
no subject
( ...hm. give back nuts. )
You could say I'm very close to them within December, and it's not everyday I get to speak about them so openly! It's quite a heartwarming story, since they effect us even now. What do you like about those two you've mentioned?
( yes. )
no subject
So you align yourself with the gods? Funny. Tell me more about you and them.
[ Komaeda's question? Never mind that ]
no subject
( anyway, komaeda's question. )
Your turn, tell me about the people you spoke about.
no subject
no subject
( puts hands on counselor's legs and shakes. )
no subject
Two people I've known for a very long time. I wonder if you've met them properly yet... I'm disappointed in your answer, but at least you didn't say the one name I feared you might.
no subject
Properly... I haven't met anyone with names like that yet, but if I pay attention to my surroundings... I should. I'll do that, say hi to everyone I meet.
( he huffs a little, not because he's upset, but he's entertained by the comment. luckily komaeda doesn't mind being a disappointment, but... )
It's the same reason why you said Saihara-kun was better suited for me, right? ( but he wants two names, let's see. ) Do I tell you two transfers, or two of the people who have always been here in this school?
no subject
That depends on if you mean "always," or simply for a very long time. The two aren't necessarily distinct.
no subject
...Hm, a long time then, but we've all been here for quite awhile...
( he leans back from touching his legs, and instead he pulls up his sleeve, tapping his wrist where a yellow scarf is wrapped around his tallies. )
I started here with six, but that doesn't really tell me how long I've been here, I could have just had a good run in my one life.
( but he's not like rokkun who has been here since god knows when, so it's hard to choose between a transfer and a native in that sense. )
no subject
That's true. It doesn't tell you how long you've been in between, either. I hope that puts those numbers into perspective.
no subject
Then... Kaneko-kun and Shujinkou-chan! I think I've made a connection, maybe, probably.
no subject
"Maybe, probably"? What sort of connection do you feel between you and them?
