Hmm... you tend to lose track after the first few years. Most of the D classes could already move around freely, and 500 points isn't much.

[ It's presumably a class effort, or something, considering the term "class" rank, but not all students see the same benefits. The benefits stack. And whatever it is, despite the campus opening up further and further each time, the grand prize for gathering X amount of merit points isn't freedom; Rokkun would not be standing here in front of him if it were. ]

( thinking how insanity gives you freedom, but no one told him not to help his class. )

...I'd call you a killer, but you're just very smart. It's not a lot, but I have quite the amount considering I don't really use them anymore.

( what does komaeda need points for when he has money, and can use his hacking gun to break into the vending machine? that said, he does pull it out on occasions if there's a need, and he hasn't seen one yet, so it's a good thing he can just hoard until... )

[ He prefers the term "realist" to pessimist, thank you. But even if he weren't smart, he's been here a really long time... points add up, enough for him to treat kohai once in a while to keep up an image despite his stinginess over real money so he can pay for real college. ]

What are you hoping to see?

Hope! I want to see how far they can go, don't you think people are interesting, frightening enough... I don't care for individuality! ( don't look at him counselor, i just laughed writing this. ) I... like hope, I want to see it because that's something everyone shares!

( he glances back, looking at rokkun for a moment before glancing up the tree. he wants to sit in a branch. )

I won't see it if I keep my eyes closed, that's why I want to help in anyway that I can... could their hope take over this place...?

( purgatory in general, could this place become their playing ground — could they grow new concept, new ideas, and things like that? )

Hm... ( his prosthetic reaches to grab the wrist of his right hand, squeezing it gently, and he smiles satisfied after. ) Yep.

[ Rokkun stands here like he doesn't care for individuality OR generality, he really doesn't care about people outside of the one, maybe two people, and everybody else is just faces in a crowd. There's no love for humanity, his world has never been that large...

...This isn't a place that should be "fixed." There's no point in trying to save something that should never have existed in the first place. Sorry, but I'm going to destroy this place before you get to watch anybody's hopes blossom, because that hope should be blossoming for real lives, in a real world, where it actually matters.

[ He has to think hard if this was one of the 2340890534 things he had promised to do while high off morphine, but he can't refute it either way because he's not going back to read all those messages to doublecheck.

Komaeda walks off, Rokkun follows, falling into step beside him like Komaeda had wanted to go somewhere else. ]

( he keeps his head faced forward, trying to decide where he wants to go next, from the wisteria... they could go...? hm, he's contemplating that maybe inside of the school, or... )

What's a proper greeting?

( rokkun, you're weird as hell and a psychopath, you have different languages that make no sense... what does he want, a rock? )

( there he goes tapping his lip again, and komaeda looks at him with a tilt of his head. )

( he'll touch his bottom lip as if he's considering it. )

( he guesses, that's fine... he's going to look at him. )

[ alright, fine, he closes his eyes. if he hears komaeda trying to run he's going to chase him down, he can do that now ]

( i thought about it, and yeah, komaeda's going to back away slowly...

[ Nope.

A disappointed part of him expected that, so his eyes are quick to snap open and he gives chase, catching up in an instant thanks to being a former """soccer""" captain and having working legs, and grabbing Komaeda from behind, arms wrapped around him so that Komaeda's arms are pinned to his sides.

shifts his grip a little lower so he can lean back and lift Komaeda off his feet, he can probably manage a foot or so. ]

( oh... he's fast now, oh, going to miss that crippled era of his, but when he's picked up off the ground, komaeda kicks his feet a bit — )

( let him go, why is he pinning him like this, and this was not the way he wanted to be picked up, but that's his fault for not specifying, huh? he's better now, rokkun is, and that's not as intimidating, but capable of doing more things which komaeda probably can't fight against, like this. )

[ Should've left him crippled. Too late now, though, because he can hold Komaeda up and walk... no idea where... just around in circles for now while hauling Komaeda around just because he can. ]

[commences]

( put him down, how can he do anything when he's like this? put him down — he's kicking his feet again, and even knocking the back of his shoe against rokkun's leg. okay, buddy, you're not a cripple! )

Put me down, and I'll figure out your prize... how does that sound?

[adsum]

[ He breathes a laugh in Komaeda's ear, side stepping to try and avoid those kicks, but they're not going to be enough to shatter his kneecaps and get him to release Komaeda. ]
