September mini-event pt 2

It's early Friday morning, the silence lifted but still a while before npc students will start coming to school. The door to the student store remains locked, despite always being propped open by a doorstop first thing in the morning, like clockwork. In the pool building, the lights automatically switch on for the day, illuminating the water below.

A large black shape floats in the middle of the pool, air trapped in the fabric wrapped and tangled around it.

1) The air is trapped from how it was wound around the body, a stroke of luck, all things considered, because otherwise Clamor might have sunk like that other body did. Unless Clamor has a different body density than normal people, you'd have to let me know, either way, it's that versus salt water buoyancy and in this case, buoyancy won out

3) He will find that Clamor's left leg is broken, although his pants and the rest of his clothes aren't torn. In his pocket are pieces of chalk that google tells me is insoluble in water, so Noah can find these. His spell book isn't on him, and neither is his PDA.

anyway so

1) the fabric that was wound around him, what is it specifically? Can Noah tell what material? Is it like... strips of fabric, or like clothing, or...

2) re: injuries and items... noah's taking the chalk and just kind of setting that aside for now (just assume he's crouched on the edge of the pool wiping tears off on his sleeves while investigating because. yeah.). Does the chalk look used at all or is it new? Where is his monocle is he still wearing it... Also, are there further injuries other than the leg break such as bruises visible anywhere or other signs of a struggle? such as blood under fingernails or w/e

1) If Noah unwinds the fabric, he'll see that it's another one of those cultist robes, like what was wrapped around the first body. This one isn't burned either, and there are nothing (physical nor holes) in the pockets of the robe.

2) The chalk looks new, and Clamor's monocle seems to be missing. There is some bruising on the same side of his broken leg that suggests impact rather than a blunt object breaking it, but otherwise no other signs of a struggle. The fingernails he has left are clean, assuming they take a while to grow back after being confiscated by library ghosts.

narrowing my questions down now so we don't have to have numbered lists:

Can Noah tell if Clamor's death was caused by drowning... i.e. if he puts his ear to his chest, is there sounds of water in the lungs... is that a thing human ears can even discern bc noah doesn't own a stethoscope.

I guess maybe he'd be able to squeeze air out of Clamor's lungs if he presses down and maybe Sidney can give mouth to mouth to re-inflate the lungs so Noah can hear them work. There are no sounds of water in the lungs, though. It doesn't seem as if this death was by drowning

if there's no other signs of injury (i.e. blunt force trauma to the back of the head, notable stab wounds, all that jazz)... I am forced to ask if there are traces of ✨magic✨ on the corpse at all

looks at elsword... you gotta explain to me what/how much Noah can pick up, or just if any magic was involved in general at any point?

everything on elrios is magical(mostly) so Noah probably wouldn't be the best at being able to tell, but he knows certain things from learning from Clamor, so like... he would know obvious things (magic circles/writings or obvious skin discolouration from magic /points vaguely to noah's own hand) for sure, and he might be able to pick up traces of lingering remnants of a spell being cast if it was particularly powerful due to the lessons as well

anything that's not "strong" (like how noah's shadows or luci's hexes might leave an aetherial trace behind after the spells end, for those that can sense magic) though, he probably wouldn't be able to pick up on. he like, just started these lessons okay, he knows like a whole ass protection spell and he can feel those.

okay well as far as he knows clamor didn't have a heart condition or anything so obviously it wasn't a heart attack but he's not a fucking doctor so maybe it was.

are there any stray hairs or fabrics etc on the body? i.e. DNA evidence somewhere, or would that have been washed off by the pool water...

There aren't any stray hairs, etc that can be found on the body since it's been submerged. Overall, discounting the broken leg, Clamor looks perfectly and physically fine aside from being dead.
