MINI-EVENT DISCUSSION TIME [open]

WHO: Everyone!!
WHEN: April 25th, 6PM
WHAT: Who wants to talk about ~murder~?

[There's a strong part of Kokichi that wants to keep everything he's figured out to himself, especially knowing the "winner" of this mystery will gain a ton of bonus points that could throw a serious wrench into his plans. He tends to work alone, after all.

But fortunately, there's a louder, more pragmatic part that knows everyone needs to come together. Whatever the game is here, no rules have been given. It doesn't seem like they're gonna force everyone together to figure things out. And maybe that's the point – no forced teamwork this time around, a prize to discourage people from working together. This whole setup seems designed to have them all working against each other.

Well, fuck that. The status quo is just gonna get more people killed. It's time to herd some cats and get everyone on the same page. If nothing else, it's a way to learn anything others might have figured out, and a chance to see who here has a working brain.]

--–

[Every transfer student will find an unsigned note in their lockers that reads "transfer students meeting @ 6pm 4/25 in classroom 2-C".

When they arrive at the set location and time, they'll find extra desks have been shoved in from other classrooms so there's seating for everyone. On the chalkboard, written in big bubble letters, is "SUPER FUN MURDER DISCUSSION PARTY TIME!!" with some goofy doodles around the edges. This is very serious, guys. One corner of the room has a square taped off on the floor with a single desk situated inside it, a sign taped to it reading "Crazy Containment Zone". A piece of paper on the desk says "reserved for Komaeda".

No one takes credit for organizing everything. But regardless, it's time to have a discussion.]

((HOW THIS WORKS:

- This post is a free for all! Feel free to start your own threads to discuss any clue/topic/theory/random outburst you want. Jump into any thread anywhere, no need to keep things tidy and continuous. This is gonna be a big group crammed into a classroom all talking at once, so just embrace the chaos.

- Please let the people who discovered clues OOCly be the ones to reveal them ICly! You can assume things have already been explained for the sake of discussing other clues and proposing theories and whatnot, just please don't steal anyone's thunder when it comes to explaining the things their characters figured out!

That's it! Let me know if you have any other concerns or guidelines to consider adding, just shoot me a PM or hit me up on plurk or discord! Have fun!))

You would be surprised the sort of items one wishes to kill others with, so long as the desire and feelings for it remain there.

[ One cannot simply stop the ikemen sparkles. ]

I know not what you mean to infer, I merely mean to state a fact of which I have seen procured in person. Do you know the story of the story of Lady Medb of Connacht? Yes, well she was killed by a piece of cheese - one should not dismiss a weapon merely because it does not look explicitly heinous or sharp.

( he doesn't know that story, actually, but as with most things he doesn't know here, he's just cataloguing the information away for the future. the more important matter right now is— )

I guess so, but... do you really think a teenage girl could inspire that kind of determination to kill?

( he pauses, offering a grimace after a moment. compared to the other day, he looks almost meek. )

Ah, I'm just making assumptions though... Sorry. You can ignore that. ( though he is thinking about the motive now. )

You seem to find yourself recollecting a thought on that inquiry? As if answering yourself. [ He does not laugh, nor does he look at him with his ikemen sparkles. There is a serious connotation to his response - one of respect and understanding. Gawain reflectively hopes, in not answering and acknowledging what the other may have thought in their pause. That yes: teenagers are in fact capable of many things. ]

It is fine, I am aware that many of you are in disbelief of many matters at hand. Where as I am very - accustomed... To these types of situations. As such I view the subject matter in a sense of how it was done. As opposed to if it were possible, as it were. We have dead bodies all around us, and the dreadful idea that the next one could be any of us.

I feel trying to derive the ifs, is a bit of a waste of time.

( LOVE the show of faith from gawain. tragically, norton's the only one responsible for any deaths happening in his proximity prior to arriving here, and responsible for them as a grown-ass adult at that. for that reason, he doesn't show any sign of necessarily agreeing with the other's words, just... a lack of willpower to fight them, really. a big ol' sigh as he glances to the side and everything. another of gawain's comments does stand out to him though, pulling at the tan scarf wrapped around his neck; he doesn't like the way the other sounds so proud of being accustomed to this type of situation.

it's not the kind of thing that should really be happening in the first place, never mind enough to become used to it. )

Knowing how it's done won't tell us how to stop it. Knowing why it was, might...

( is what he decides on saying instead. )

[ Norton's distrust in Gawain will serve him well if there is ever an exchange where for whatever reason - he was ordered by his Master to kill the other(s). In fact, he is most unaccustomed to the situation where. People who are not Magus are aware of his status as a man of the past - and a Servant. He in truth, had initially preen the thought of having to keep it quiet, but Ritsuka seemed adamant of voicing the truth plainly - a result perhaps. Of the universe, she came from. So Gawain, acted along tandem of his new Masters antics.

In another world, this was against all common sense of the universe he hail'd from and although, this may not have been that place. It was in truth, the system and only thing Gawain understood of. As all servants - like himself, were ingrained with it. Even those from the Moon Cell - which is his past remembrance. He was a servant, not a person like the rest of them. As far as he is concerned - a familiar and, this conversation along with the exchanges here within this room. Were truthfully not meant for him. Yet he were there all the same, enjoying the luxury of living in a space with others who lived in actuality.

Actual living people, versus him. A technical living familiar, ready to kill at behest their masters calling.

SO Gawain welcomes the very wise mans distrust of him - frankly hes the only smart one here in Gawains eyes. Because in a real Grail War. Which he still thinks this may be - all of them should be dead. And if this was a real Grail War, he would pardon Norton to be someone if the only person Ritsuka should ally himself with.

In fact, Gawain still wants that.

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBut hes a confused servant. And merely doing as his master instructs. And vibing. SO its okay - no one is dying today!111!!! ikeman sparkles for everyone!!!! ]

You are very wise Sir Norton, and most true. If you want my opinion, I believe if we can discern whether the body in the glass case has markings on their arms. We may be able to confirm that it is those who who are marked, who are in danger. I would rather not see more unnessicary death - nor would I wish to see anyone within this room dead. [ BUT he'd kill them without blinking - if at least!!! He would be very upset that Ritsuka was not the Master or King he thought they would be. So you know there's that. ] However, as it were - I worry that it may be one of us next. Considering, the manner of body parts floating left and right within this school and how we are unable to leave from it.

( honestly, the "sir" just makes norton think he's being kind of factitious; again, he looks uncomfortable. )

I told you, there's no need for formalities—it's just common sense anyway.

( even if you're some kind of ancient knight or whatever. norton's Just A Guy. )

If you want my opinion, when it comes to us dying, I think that the fumigation is probably the greater danger. We don't know why the murderer did it or if they'll do it again at all, but we do know that they're definitely going to be smoking us out of this school like we're no more than rats to them.

( which, they are, and norton's used to that, but... he'd rather not die like a rat? not here or now? he hasn't struck rich yet, and he's pretty determined to live at least a little bit of the life he deserves before he taps out. )

But as long as we're talking about this, figuring out the reason behind it will help us more than how it happened.

I apologize, Norton. It is an instilled habit.

[ It is, and he is not doing it on purpose. Honestly - it would be better if you ignored he even said it, and accepted it as one of his quirks. However he will attempt to make a special case for the male before him. ]

In earnest, with that in mind as you said. I feel we should be staying with one another in the long nights. I know Sir White and myself do not need a nights rest. However, I am certain we can adjust and create a timely system. One where, there are people awake and alert. So a situation does not occur, I feel we should best prepare for the worse. Especially for those who are so young.

( if he's calling the actual child (lmao) "sir," as well, norton's almost willing to believe that it's an honest habit. at the same time, a combination of factors and his current temperament mean he's not so receptive to the title at the moment. phone back with it when he's on the other end of the scale, and he might be more appreciative of the gesture. )

Seems like it would be difficult to coordinate, but it's an idea...

( still has nothing to do with the reason—still a band-aid solution at best as long as they don't know who's actually vulnerable. also, they kind of need to be awake to earn merit points from their classes for food, so staying up, even in shifts, may... pose challenges. he's not about to shoot down the idea entirely though, just kind of leaves it like that, trying to shift back on-topic instead. )

Try not to give up on the matter at hand so easily though, would you?

I have asked Miss Nene to stay with us in the evenings, she seems obliged. I have yet to make the suggestion, but as it were with how earnestly wild the lot of these children are. [ Gawain isn't dumb, he just is too relaxed for a situation that others feel more tense over. ] I am discomforted and uncertain to suggest to each one.

As you said, it is not a matter that I give up. I am a Knight - a royal member of the house of Pendragon at that. An man far older than you or the lots of these here. In truth, I was told by my Master to live freely and as it were... My time as a Nobleman can suit the situation in which, I am predisposed as a member of the Royal Court. To think ahead of situations, and prepare my people for what is to come.

It is not that I feel things are bleak, merely that I must adjust and have thoughts on how to attend to matters thusly. The air of responsibility, more or less and I one with experience of it. [ Indeed, even if he would kill everyone in the room for one whole corn chip. It wasn't as if that was needed in current, and he genuinely enjoyed the company of those within the room. Felt they were his ally's, and were cordial in how he currently viewed him. Family.

Rather then oppose to the thought that they are all admittedly his enemies, he was also renowned to the idea that they are inevitably his friends. Ultimately.

As such, the need to take care of others and harness his own experiences in life. Was something he felt seemingly, akin to common sense. Ritsuka gave him the okay to speak freely and act with some of his own will. In doing so, his mind began to delight the nerves of a Royal Nobleman who were ardently a Knight always in servitude to those of the common folk. Whom were everyone within this room in current. ]
