MINI-EVENT DISCUSSION TIME [open]
WHO: Everyone!!
WHEN: April 25th, 6PM
WHAT: Who wants to talk about ~murder~?
[There's a strong part of Kokichi that wants to keep everything he's figured out to himself, especially knowing the "winner" of this mystery will gain a ton of bonus points that could throw a serious wrench into his plans. He tends to work alone, after all.
But fortunately, there's a louder, more pragmatic part that knows everyone needs to come together. Whatever the game is here, no rules have been given. It doesn't seem like they're gonna force everyone together to figure things out. And maybe that's the point – no forced teamwork this time around, a prize to discourage people from working together. This whole setup seems designed to have them all working against each other.
Well, fuck that. The status quo is just gonna get more people killed. It's time to herd some cats and get everyone on the same page. If nothing else, it's a way to learn anything others might have figured out, and a chance to see who here has a working brain.]

[Every transfer student will find an unsigned note in their lockers that reads "transfer students meeting @ 6pm 4/25 in classroom 2-C".
When they arrive at the set location and time, they'll find extra desks have been shoved in from other classrooms so there's seating for everyone. On the chalkboard, written in big bubble letters, is "SUPER FUN MURDER DISCUSSION PARTY TIME!!" with some goofy doodles around the edges. This is very serious, guys. One corner of the room has a square taped off on the floor with a single desk situated inside it, a sign taped to it reading "Crazy Containment Zone". A piece of paper on the desk says "reserved for Komaeda".
No one takes credit for organizing everything. But regardless, it's time to have a discussion.]
((HOW THIS WORKS:
- This post is a free for all! Feel free to start your own threads to discuss any clue/topic/theory/random outburst you want. Jump into any thread anywhere, no need to keep things tidy and continuous. This is gonna be a big group crammed into a classroom all talking at once, so just embrace the chaos.
- Please let the people who discovered clues OOCly be the ones to reveal them ICly! You can assume things have already been explained for the sake of discussing other clues and proposing theories and whatnot, just please don't steal anyone's thunder when it comes to explaining the things their characters figured out!
That's it! Let me know if you have any other concerns or guidelines to consider adding, just shoot me a PM or hit me up on plurk or discord! Have fun!))

( he's nodding. )
If they didn't die, we wouldn't have all come together like this. ( as insane as that sounds. ) There's new opportunities for us now, and secrets that's slowly showing itself because someone died. ( let him look natsume dead in the eyes. )
Like the body in the pipes.
no subject
and he doesn't like it, and he doesn't agree with it -
but results are results. natsume leans against his hand, staring right back. )
...The body in the pipes would have been found regardless because I had a HUNCH, and the little bunny and I followed IT. ( it's just a footnote for now anyway. a fingernote actually- ) Let me make this clear: the loss of life is not GOOD, but the act of people finding something to focus their attentions on IS. But it could have been anyTHING. Some mysterious happeNING, or some revelation brought about by talking to the students willing to begrudge us their TIME.
( it didn't have to be murder. it Was murder, but it didn't have to be... natsume leans back, moving his hand up to rub his temple with a sigh. )
I won't deny that "someone died" is the quickest way to get people together THOUGH. There's a reason some families reconnect once someone in them passes aWAY, and they choose to attend that person's funeRAL... That's essentially how the games of werewolf and mafia work too - no one wants to be the next to DIE, so they work together to suss out whoever it is that is against THEM. Not that I'm saying we're in the direct line of danGER.

It depends on why the life is lost, some losses are meant to help everyone! ( here's that charismatic smile of his, ) Like now, this one has to be for hope. Why would someone do it if not for that, or maybe they mourned their friend and thought it was the correct method. Either way, both sides have their reasons for doing what they're doing, and that's to find the light called hope towards the end.
( he's not willing to change his mind from that idea, he's way too focused on the fact that this is hope. to see people go this far in order to protect themselves, and for the people who did the deed to do this for whatever reason. it's all hope, everything that they're doing is for good. )
To some, this may look like a stroke of bad luck, but for others.. this is good. For me, it only adds up the list of good things and makes me wonder what bad luck will be around the corner. ( but this isn't about him, this is about everyone else in the group. ) Bonds are being formed, and we're not even related by blood. Not like that matters.
no subject
What would someone like you consider bad LUCK?
( just as a reference. going forward. )
no subject
( the words come out slow as if thoughtful, curious what the other would make of the answer. it lingers in his mind for a moment as his eyes watch over natsume, and the expression is reflective of what's rambling in his mind for once. )
Anyway, I wonder when we'll stumble upon another dead body, because there's one after another.
( yeah, who really knows what goes on in there. )
no subject
but of course it isn't going to be that easy, and natsume's lips twist in annoyance before he sighs and leans back in his seat, turning his attention back to the group. discussion over, he guesses. )
