Yogen and You: A Quick Summary
Held by Natsume Sakasaki
For those who need a summary of events, whether because our meetings rarely get anything done in terms of information sharing or because you're freshly awakened. Come around dinner time for food, enlightenment, and the opportunity to share your troubles with those going through the same thing.
The room will be locked all day until about half an hour before six, at which point it will become unlocked... this is primarily for Natsume to set up a table of food, but people can come sit in early if they like. There's an overhead projector that's been wheeled into the study hall all the way from school, and the curtains are drawn over the windows. It isn't dark though, since he still has the lights turned on...
Several tables have been pushed together to make at least three groups, chairs around them like they've been readied for a dinner party, while a few more are pushed a little further back and have absolutely no chairs whatsoever; those are for the food. There's also a chair by the overhead projector.
Your food and drink for tonight: lemon and rosemary roasted shrimp, white rice, rosemary and thyme chicken, a make-your-own-salad area with all kinds of salad-making ingredients, three types of eggrolls (seafood, vegetable, and pork), and various drinks from the vending machine because some of us can afford to spend a bunch of merit points on things like that.
When a sufficient amount of people have come in, or the clock hits 6:05, Natsume shuts the door, turns off the lights, and moves to the overhead projector. To stand on the chair, so he's the tallest person in here, and claps his hands to get people's attention. )
Save all questions and outbursts until the END, ( he says, and then kneels down on the chair and flicks the projector on.
All of the slides are pre-written on some transparent sheets that project onto a wall without windows, which he reads one by one without rushing! But for ease of reading OOCly, you can find the entire thing here. There's also photocopied handouts for people on all of the tables, stapled of course, so people who aren't blind (sorry Helena) can follow along at home!
He lets the last sheet stay up, his face half-illuminated by the overhead projector, then sits down in the chair and leans forward the back of it like some kind of delinquent. )
Alright, you can speak NOW.
( ooc notes: go ahead and treat this like one of our meetings, aka mingle, jump around, actually get a chance to share information that hasn't been talked about yet, etc. thank you plenty to enh and peace too for reviewing and suggesting things for the presentation \o/ )

subaru's chilling near the front, because of course he is, he wants to see natsume's hard work, and this is also an experience he's never actually had since it's Before His Time it's exciting ☆ the information is generally not exciting but it's fine they're all in the same boat right now. additionally, he has made paper airplanes out of his printed copies.
actually there's some pretty concerned information in here he's been antsy to ask about but he has to wait the whole time--]
So like... all the red meat in the home ec room's human? Asking, uh, for a friend.

new info (for if this eventually collapses)
Oh, haha, okay! I gotcha. Thanks.
[MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.]
I feel kinda bad I don't really have anything to add... Oh, wait.
[he does have something to add! nene knows this, but--]
The Prez -- Macchi, Maya, Arisu-san -- has a contract with another party about our graduation, and the former one had one too... from the way she talked to me about it, though, there's a new one per Stuco Prez, not new term -- she's ensured the possibility of all current third years to graduate at the very least, 'long as we keep our grades high and don't die, but otherwise the ball's in our court.
[um]
But if you can't graduate for some reason this year... I asked her about it, and she confirmed that third years have a chance to repeat. You shouldn't bet on that and just not graduate, do your best and stuff, but if something happens you've got a second chance next year.

Ah, right, if it's about classes, try and make sure you're at least passing everything. From what Fujioka-kun told me, students who fail the term two exams don't tend to come back after, and they're graded a whole lot stricter too.
( so... if you're like him, and assumed that maybe freak ghost school would have different graduation requirements and your grades wouldn't matter, you may have assumed wrong. study like your life is on the line kids, because it (kind of) is. )
Aside from that, if everyone in a year level does too poorly, they might hold a practicum instead of an exam. Considering how their student council election went, we might want to avoid that too so, graduation aside, it still looks like we can't get too lax on studies if we want to keep that kind of thing off the table.

...Ah. I... see. I was not aware that Arisu-kun was involved with such a contract. Perhaps... I should speak with her regarding that.
[That's what he should do, right? It's his duty as a student council and someone who's practically the liaison of the transfer students. ...It feels like the only thing he can do.]
S-so in this case, graduation... It would mean... re- reincarnation...? [Normally, Graduation Day would be one of the proudest and happiest days of his life. The type of day he's dreamed of since he was a little boy! Now, it's starting to become something he fears. Part of the unknown. But at least, being a second-year student, he does not have to worry about it immediately.]
no subject
Well... Maybe she'll be more open to a fellow student council member asking her about it, sure, but don't be surprised if she brushes you off~. ☆ She told me it was private stuff.
[he can respect that... and he can put his trust in her, too. maya hasn't done him wrong yet, and she's been as straight-forward with him as he with her, so he considers her a Good Person.]
Yup! In a way? It sort of, uh, frees us? But eventually we'll come back. Since it's a holding place for us and all, like Natsume's presentation put.
[... he has had a few months to sort of repress and then digest the fact he's dead and ?reincarnating? sooner over later if he makes it through the school year, but his casualness is still a little forced for the topic.]
But yeah, first and second years don't gotta worry about it -- if Macchi's your prez going into next year too, I'm sure the rules'll be the same.
no subject
... What if we don't want to reincarnate? Everybody talks about it like that's supposed to be a good thing. It's not.
no subject
I mean, it sorta is. You come back as something or someone different, but it's like... your soul maturing, and stuff like that... And eventually you're supposed to not come back at all.
[it's one of those lowkey things you learn in japan... just on the cultural side of temples and the like being around... one of his senpai's family has it...]
But why not?

no subject
Me too. Honestly, me too. There's still so much I wanna do and see, I just dunno how we'd get home. Like, we'd need to know how we got here first, and--
[if it is dying, well.]
It just sounds like we've got one road. I don't really like that, 'cause then I wanna make my own road, but I dunno where to start on it.

[this would probably be a lot funnier if she had even the slightest hint of emotion in her voice.]

[stabbing................. a girl her age-- well, no one should deal with death, but her age shouldn't.
he'd know from experience it's not great. he'll scoot his ass over to sit more with her.]
We'll definitely throw hands with 'em, and then we'll torture them with the most boring things known the mankind until they fess up, fix what's going on, and let us go. But we won't stab them.
no subject
[just absolutely annihilating this egg roll.]
Besides, you probably can't kill it. But that might be useful. You can just hurt it really, really bad. It'll do as we say or we'll make it hurt more. That will probably work.
no subject
he's gonna take the eggroll from her and then take her hands.]
We're not gonna go that far, no matter who wants to. I won't let them. There's no reason to do that much to someone, Steph, even if it "works" sometimes.
no subject
It's not a someone. It's a monster.
no subject
Even monsters are "someones". C'mon, give way a shot, and if they still don't give in the end no matter what we'll go with yours.
[as a last resort.]
no subject
Doing that got me here.
no subject
[reclining in his seat a little... he hasn't shown much of a reaction to the "we're dead" thing thus far, so he might as well explain why. because from his perspective—]
We're here now, aren't we? You could say that, in our current state, we are "alive" in the physical sense. So what does it matter if we died to get here? "Life" and "death" aren't purely black and white. There are states of existence that exist between and outside of those concepts.
If you want to consider the options this place is offering, go ahead, but I'm not going to waste my time with something as pointless as reincarnation. I'm fine with my current existence.

[He's weary now, but he can feel some sort of drive for pursuing that at least. His own opinion of her is marred by the whole student council deathmatch thing from months ago. Even if she might not have really had control over it, Ishimaru still holds her responsible for that horrible event.]
So even if we are reincarnated, we will... return here after our next lives. [He slowly shakes his head.] No... no, that is unacceptable. I would not want to return to this school in any life.
[Ishimaru wishes he could even force casualness right now. Instead, his struggle is as evident as possible.]
"If". There are any number of things that can come into play. ...I would not want to leave so soon, anyway. N-not until... not until everyone can be freed from here.
