Yogen and You: A Quick Summary
Held by Natsume Sakasaki
For those who need a summary of events, whether because our meetings rarely get anything done in terms of information sharing or because you're freshly awakened. Come around dinner time for food, enlightenment, and the opportunity to share your troubles with those going through the same thing.
The room will be locked all day until about half an hour before six, at which point it will become unlocked... this is primarily for Natsume to set up a table of food, but people can come sit in early if they like. There's an overhead projector that's been wheeled into the study hall all the way from school, and the curtains are drawn over the windows. It isn't dark though, since he still has the lights turned on...
Several tables have been pushed together to make at least three groups, chairs around them like they've been readied for a dinner party, while a few more are pushed a little further back and have absolutely no chairs whatsoever; those are for the food. There's also a chair by the overhead projector.
Your food and drink for tonight: lemon and rosemary roasted shrimp, white rice, rosemary and thyme chicken, a make-your-own-salad area with all kinds of salad-making ingredients, three types of eggrolls (seafood, vegetable, and pork), and various drinks from the vending machine because some of us can afford to spend a bunch of merit points on things like that.
When a sufficient amount of people have come in, or the clock hits 6:05, Natsume shuts the door, turns off the lights, and moves to the overhead projector. To stand on the chair, so he's the tallest person in here, and claps his hands to get people's attention. )
Save all questions and outbursts until the END, ( he says, and then kneels down on the chair and flicks the projector on.
All of the slides are pre-written on some transparent sheets that project onto a wall without windows, which he reads one by one without rushing! But for ease of reading OOCly, you can find the entire thing here. There's also photocopied handouts for people on all of the tables, stapled of course, so people who aren't blind (sorry Helena) can follow along at home!
He lets the last sheet stay up, his face half-illuminated by the overhead projector, then sits down in the chair and leans forward the back of it like some kind of delinquent. )
Alright, you can speak NOW.
( ooc notes: go ahead and treat this like one of our meetings, aka mingle, jump around, actually get a chance to share information that hasn't been talked about yet, etc. thank you plenty to enh and peace too for reviewing and suggesting things for the presentation \o/ )

subaru's chilling near the front, because of course he is, he wants to see natsume's hard work, and this is also an experience he's never actually had since it's Before His Time it's exciting ☆ the information is generally not exciting but it's fine they're all in the same boat right now. additionally, he has made paper airplanes out of his printed copies.
actually there's some pretty concerned information in here he's been antsy to ask about but he has to wait the whole time--]
So like... all the red meat in the home ec room's human? Asking, uh, for a friend.

new info (for if this eventually collapses)
Oh, haha, okay! I gotcha. Thanks.
[MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.]
I feel kinda bad I don't really have anything to add... Oh, wait.
[he does have something to add! nene knows this, but--]
The Prez -- Macchi, Maya, Arisu-san -- has a contract with another party about our graduation, and the former one had one too... from the way she talked to me about it, though, there's a new one per Stuco Prez, not new term -- she's ensured the possibility of all current third years to graduate at the very least, 'long as we keep our grades high and don't die, but otherwise the ball's in our court.
[um]
But if you can't graduate for some reason this year... I asked her about it, and she confirmed that third years have a chance to repeat. You shouldn't bet on that and just not graduate, do your best and stuff, but if something happens you've got a second chance next year.

About the wisteria, taking parts of it is obviously a bad idea, but I wouldn't recommend touching it at all if you can help it. The flowers will knock you out if you come into contact with them for too long, and even though there's no flowers on the other side of the school's tree, you can still lose consciousness if you're not careful.
( why does he know that? not important. )
Anyway, Kazuki-san was asking for help with it recently too. If you check out the branches, you guys notice how they're kind of drooping down? Apparently the souls are becoming too much weight for it to bear, so we might want to look into seeing if there's some way we can deal with that. Try not to do anything rash before we get the chance to check out the other options first though — pretty sure some of the people we knew could still be in there.

[ Senku sighs. He stares at that last slide intently, finally realizing their situation. They're all actually dead, huh? He should've expected it, but the thought hadn't crossed his thoughts much. It merely lingered there in the back of his mind, as if it were always a possibility. He was either busy in a club or working on something in the workshop to really think about the implications. ]
So, that just means we have to ask more questions and investigate. For instance: Who is deciding what the criteria is for resurrection, and why do they have that power?

The tallies especially... His own hypothesis was proven correct, then, although he hadn't factored in deaths experienced. Finished with his food, he goes to put his plate away, absentmindedly rubbing at the left wrist he's kept covered up by cloth so far.
It's not until the last slide that a genuine reaction is pulled out of him. Eyes wide and unblinking as he stares blankly at the words we're all dead, anyway. His body is stiff, fists slowly clenching and unclenching. He remains this way for quite a while longer, until eventually he tears his eyes away from the wall and slowly meanders his way over towards the covered windows. His expression turns thoughtful, hooking a finger beneath the sheets to pull them back just enough to peer outside.
He's quiet, contemplative. If anyone needs him he will be chilling over here for a good while.]

Pardon this one for asking, but why you are so confident that all of us are dead?
[ Meng Yao is... well, he's not certain how he's handling this just yet. But to be honest, maybe the fact of the matter is that he isn't dealing with it well. At the very least, his tone is polite and without a tremor. Not a hint of how much this is affecting him at all. ]

But now, it's being spread as fact. They're already dead?? It's already all over? He can't be dead. He can't be. He knows he was attacked before coming here, but - that can't have been it. He wanted to believe that he survived that!
Once again, he finds himself reduced to a responsive state while trying to process this. He still listens, attentively. And he raises some questions here and there while he can. He especially listens to Meng Yao's conversation with Komaeda, as he had voiced the question on this mind... how did they know this? And he listens to the answer, his shoulders sinking. His seafood eggroll and rice lie half-eaten and forgotten as he stands in place.]
I... I do not understand. This does not make sense at all... [He weakly mutters, as he tries to make sense of everything, or anything.]

( it's like a golden opportunity in a way, something that komaeda can't let go because he wonders what it is that makes the other uncomfortable, what truth before his eyes causes him to act such a way. )
I may be insignificant, but I hope there's some way I can be of use to you, and help calm your nerves.
( that's all he's for anyhow, and maybe there's this budding excitement to hear him say something like how are they dead, how is he dead since that happens to be the one factor that most people can't wrap their head around. he may be drawn to the potential reaction of the other, but when komaeda speaks, there is something genuine in his voice as he waits for the other to speak. )

science club info herein
He doesn't seem to react to the revelation at the final slide, though. He simply puts a hand to his chin, humming thoughtfully. He allows some time to process his own thoughts before speaking up.]
An adequate presentation... there was information that I lacked, so I'll thank you for your contribution to my research. [and Add rarely uses the T&Y words, so that's some high praise.]
Since you provided something useful... there was some information I acquired on the science club, so I'll share it. [since i never got around to it during last fammeet wheezes murderplots sure are something] Science club applications become available over winter break. Normally, only first and second years are permitted to apply, and the expectation is that they are to undergo safety training with the existing second and third year club members before they become "official" members in the following school year. There doesn't seem to be any additional entry requirements besides signing the sheet and performing well during the probationary period.
As for the reason why the science club was disbanded... kekek, over summer break they were working on their "club project" kept in the club room. They would send someone once a week to spend four hours in that room, and they refused to answer me when I asked what it was... I was able to "convince" one of them to explain, but I doubt the answer they gave was truthful. Some nonsense about bacteria cultures and petri dish art.
Anyway, they failed to complete whatever they needed to do that week, so I guess they failed their project... what a shame, kukukukuku...
[he doesn't sound sorry at all, yeah. fuck you science club rest in pieces for denying HIM membership!!!!]
Ah... there was also something else I noticed around that time... the anatomical model that stands in front of the door. I've been hearing it laughing at me whenever I pass by it, so if anyone has a plan for how to acquire it, I'd be willing to pay for such a service with my talents. No one is more skilled than me when it comes to machines and electronics, and I have an intimate understanding of spatiotemporal physics and manipulation even if my abilities here may be restricted. We can negotiate the exchange after I see some proof of concept.
