Hihi, Pumpkin here! This is where I'll be putting most of my closed and plotted threads for the month of October. I say this post is semi-open because Senku will be on the Exchange Program Trip from 10/11-10/17 with Add, so he won't be around for a good chunk of time. [ Senku looks down at the ground a bit in thought. Of course he wants to be rational and selfish. Emotions run high in a situation like this. But... He just can't bring himself to be. He may seem cold at moments, but time spent with Senku, one finds, shows that there's a much warmer character underneath those layers. ]

...Keheh. Trust me, it is tempting, and I'm sure I could do it, but... I made myself a promise. I promised myself I'd get as many people as I could out of that school, and also tear it down in the process so that no one has to go through such a thing again. I didn't think I'd be able to escape by going on this trip by any means, but, I guess I was just hoping that nothing bad happened to the people I know.

[ A pause. ]

I still don't know, since this really is a different timeline. But, if they haven't shown up at the school thus far, that makes me think they're alright for the time being. So, I'm going to do what I can to help everyone else in the meantime. No one deserves to be stuck in Yogen.

[ He smirks as he looks back up at Add, continuing. ]

It's also why I want you to stick around. You're a very intelligent and clever person. I'm sure that we, along with everyone else can find a way out together. Besides, I'm sure you still want to see the inside of the Science lab- can't do that with unknown variables standing in the way.

[ Not to mention you're one of his best friends here, Addward!!! ]

Trying to save everyone... kek, what a disgustingly naive goal. [but not a wholly unexpected one. Senku... would probably fit right in with that group, too, wouldn't he?

His logic is sound, even if his goal is an unrealistic one... so it'd be difficult to force him into changing his mind. And maybe, deep down, Add doesn't want him to. No one deserves to be stuck in Yogen, but to a devil like Add who has infinite time and no present worth returning to, to have a place where people still want him around...

He's happy, for a moment, before he realizes how disgustingly naive he's being. So he huffs out a sigh instead, letting his hand drop back down to his side. He can keep being useful, for now, just to satisfy his curiosity. That doesn't mean he's getting too attached.]

Fine... but don't expect me to offer that again. [actually, hasn't he opened himself up to future risks now that Senku knows he could use Add for that purpose...? guess that's something new he'll have to be paranoid about]

Going back is the only option that makes sense, in that case. Sever all ties to this world, and we'll return to the other... what a waste of time this ended up being.
