?????? 10/8
WHO: All of Yogen
WHAT: Something is brewin...about to begin.....
WHEN: 10/8 afternoon
WHERE: Everywhere!
WARNINGS: ┐(´ー`)┌ Will update if needed.
[sometime in the afternoon, after the student council wraps up for the day, someone takes control of the overhead system. the voice sounds some sort of way, but it starts anyway.]
Good afternoon! I’ve decided to break up the monotony and the dreadful tones we’ve had over this past week with a little game. It’s a scavenger hunt of sorts, because I have information on some of the murders that you all haven’t figured out.
But I’m not going to just give it to you, so you’ll have to participate!
I’ll give you the first clue.
“On the rare occasion that the average detective takes a break, he needs somewhere to store his things. Small, perhaps, but he may have something deadly to hide!”
Let’s see how you do!
[the audio cuts off...
but then a message pops up on the message boards.]
u can help each other out!! but u gotta do a little bit of leg work!! u wont win just by sitting around talking 2 each other on here!!
remember: friendship is magic!!! (˶◕‿◕˶✿)
oh, oh, oh!!
You have until midnight to find me.
Fail, and face erasure of the facts.

what if it was? what if you had to rely on someone else to keep you alive? make you stronger? what if died without them? and you could die with them? do you think you could trust on that bond? wouldn't it make it magical, in a way? to be able to give you abilities that no one else could have but also keep you alive...
and don't say that they aren't friends. most of these sorts of people are.
[. . . why does he sound offended.
anyway.]
isnt a lot of fun at the expense of some1 else??? do ppl even kno how to have fun and be nice 2 others???

[But then--]
Reliance on someone doesn't necessarily make someone a friend.
Acting in a certain way towards someone to survive also doesn't make someone a friend.
And it doesn't always mean that you trust them, either.
You can have someone connected to you in that way but still not be friends with them. Telling me not to say that much isn't going to change that the possibility is there, with that sort of meaning. It makes that 'friendship' feel superficial if the only thing that matters is the fact that they keep you alive, or that you benefit from them in some shape or form.
I don't think that's what friendship is at all. It's not just about reliance on someone to protect you, or to survive. Seeing it like that... is kind of sad, I think. Because it's so simple-minded. Maybe for a superficial friendship that's fine. But I wouldn't call it true friendship at all.
Maybe in competitive sports, sure--but even so, that's different from this. And more than that, people can have fun without hurting someone else in the process. If you're saying that's impossible, then that's something that needs to be proven wrong.

even if you remind me of someone i know...they ended up seeing things my way towards the end. sometimes its only in those situations that you really end up knowing who someone really is, which i think creates a deeper bond than just superficial conversations.
im not saying that you cant make friends outside of those situations but you also cant deny that it happens, yourself. those are the relationships that transcend life.
i never said it was impossible to have fun without hurting someone. i just think it happens more often than people want to realize. its human nature.

I'll look forward to it, then.
Well - I won't disagree with that.
[She's made tight bonds before in tough situations, in situations that seem almost unreal. She's learned so many things about her group of friends because of what that bastard did, and yet--]
But I'll also say that people can have relationships that are just as strong even without that, you know?
And maybe you're right, in some aspects. Not the whole 'people have fun without hurting each other' but rather... 'people hurting each other' in general. I don't think it's part of human nature to have fun while hurting someone. However - what I do think is that you can't have a real relationship with someone without the potential of doing harm to someone. Because humans, in the end, are flawed and make mistakes. What matters more isn't that someone inflicts pain. It's that the pain is eventually recognized and people can reconcile for it... and apologize, and amend their mistakes.
I know I certainly don't want to enjoy myself if it means it's at the cost of someone else getting hurt - whether it's emotionally or physically. And if I have to hurt someone, in most cases it isn't because I'm having fun.
[A lot of the time, it's a morality thing - she doesn't agree with what someone else has to say.]
Where you come from must be a sad place if you think that it happens much more often than people realize.

You must have quite a lot of time on your hands.

I used to be a writer for the club I used to be in. But writing speeches and writing actual books are definitely different. Or rather, there's a difference in style, length, and all that crap that books have.
