[ That's all he sends back because Joe is already scrambling to find her some milk. It takes longer than he'd like as he's still adjusting to the layout of the school, but he does manage to find what she's requested.

He tries to be fairly quiet when he comes back to their room; though he's panting from running so much. ]

[ Joe makes his way over to her bunk and purposely glances away as he slips the carton of milk past the curtain to covers her bed. ]

( nene quietly sits up once she hears the door open- his heavy breathing is a little concerning, was he sprinting...? it was only the vending machines... ... gently, she tugs the curtains open. she hasn't gotten out of her pajamas yet, and her hair is messy, her eyes are red and puffy. she takes the carton and nods, opening her mouth to speak, to say thank you--

--nothing comes out but a hoarse rasp. did she scream that much this morning? her throat does hurt... instead she tugs at his sleeve slightly to get his attention, nodding when he does look, and squeezing his hand in thanks. it's unfortunately all she can do right now. )
