Ah, he really is bad at things like this. He's not quite certain how to best approach it, and in the end he settles on being direct. He takes a seat in front of her desk, placing his free hand on his knee. ]

I thought I'd see if you'd take on some part time help. I was created by a tech and medical company, so I have all the prerequisite knowledge and some experience, and this is about as close to what I came from as I can get.

[ He assumes it wouldn't be much more than menial tasks, but even at the very least he's sure he could pick something up while finding a way to kill time. Having said that, he adds more pointedly: ]

Figured I'd ask since people keep getting stabbed around here.

[ By people he mostly means Komaeda. ]

Oh! Well, I wouldn't turn down the help, not to mention the company.

[ You know, for as many people that gets stabbed around here, a scant few actually have the mind to come to the nurse's office to get treated. Other people think they're sneakily stealing meds and supplies the nurse keeps unlocked around the office, or that everything will be okay if they just sleep it off. ]

It would be good to have somebody capable around during the evening hours too. I wouldn't be able to offer much in terms of payment, though. What sort of compensation were you looking for?

[ Compensation? That question catches him off guard. It's not something he's ever had to think about before, and he's pleased to have his offer accepted. Even so, he doesn't want to dismiss the question out of hand. ]

Nah, I didn't come in here expecting anything much. Whatever you wanna offer is fine by me.

[ If that's nothing at all, then so be it. If it's hard for him, he knows logically that it's good for him to form connections. ]

I have too much free time anyway.

[ He doesn't like idling. ]

[ Mostly what she offers is tea and occasionally cookies to go along with the tea, but idk if Ranger eats anyways so she'll have to think of something else. ]

We'll consider this an unpaid internship for now, then. Which means, if there's anything in particular you want to learn more about that I'm capable of teaching, you just let me know, alright?

[ Want to crack open somebody's ribs and sew their heart back together? We can make that happen. ]
