Who: Faculty, and idk if you wanna bring a +1 i won't stop you, i'm not a cop
What: FACULTY MEETING
When: 12/6, 7pm-ish
Where: Faculty office
Warnings: TBA
[a note, in a childish scrawl of blue ink, is placed on the desk of every teacher.
The rumors are true.
Here, tonight, 7pm.
We can't do nothing.
at the appointed time and place, you can find Sportacus sitting cross-legged on his own desk. he is eating an apple, though mostly he's just taken one bite of it and is otherwise using it to gesticulate.]
"Every student that fails their exams will be killed. Sometimes, they make you do it." That is how the teacher next door described it, when I asked. [pause] That is not good! So, it cannot happen. I hope there's no debate on that, but...
[he's heard things about some of you fuckers and he's not impressed, basically.
still, he smiles. but he always does that.]
We have very little time to do an impossible thing. Luckily, that is when most impossible things are done!
[he gestures vaguely before him. the floor is open, gentlemen. let's save our students.]

( blinks... though, he doesn't think that has to be said, everyone has their own ideas on how to save someone. )
What are you going to do if not?
( idea? hm... )
Ah... if they got sick, they'd have to miss out, you know.

[as for the other question...]
I will do whatever I can that's best for my kids. [pause] Whatever that ends up being.
no subject
( a roll of his eyes, lifts his hand like he's helping erase that doubt from sportacus' mind. )
Do you know what will happen if they do a make-up test? Or are you just pulling at straws?
( sighs, be cool again komaeda. which he does, because now he's smiling like he never had that small irritable moment. )

[smiles]
I'd like to think it's an educated guess! Does this place like to make things easier, or harder? [a shrug] Another educated guess is that we'll be punished for disobeying them in any way. I'd like to earn it.

( so making them sick is out the question, with a hand on his hip, he glances at the ground thoughtful. )
Yep, we probably will! But we all knew that when we applied for these positions, but some of the people here get off on pain so...
( nothing to worry about there. )
Schedule a field trip.

The vice principal... It wouldn't be very difficult for someone to convince her she approved it before...
[or, at the very least, komaeda could annoy her until she breaks and accepts his reality. he seems pretty good at that.]
... But, thinking ahead... We all do have to come back here, for now. There must be a way that isn't only delaying the inevitable. There is always a way.
no subject
( yet, such pathetic means are beneath komaeda, so he looks at sporty to do the job. )
Been single lately?
no subject
My entire life.

( please........................................................................ )
Keep the idea in mind, some people like the inexperienced.

no subject
( all she does is cry and want the best for her students here. )
She has no hand in the rules we've already seen, though, but maybe she has some power...
no subject
But, if there is no principal, wouldn't the vice principal be in charge?
no subject
( but maybe things have changed since then...? )
Don't hurt to ask...
no subject
I don't know much about schools, but that doesn't seem very... Does she seem truthful? To you.
[with the correct answer being the opposite of whatever komaeda believes it is.]
no subject
( whether that's truth or a lie, komaeda recites the conclusion they came to. )
You can always speak to her yourself, if you need someone to hold your hand, I believe Amemura-kun would be a good fit.
no subject
I think speaking to her as a friend might be slightly more effective.
no subject
It doesn't matter how, as long as it's done. Will you save your students, or will you waffle in despair... I do wonder.
no subject
[a shrug]
That's not any kind of despair I've ever seen. Maybe you use the word differently!
no subject
( he sighs, lifting a hand to pat sportacus' shoulder. )
You'll understand me soon.
no subject
[and he's pretty sure he doesn't need the future tense on that last one. he has a working theory.
he places his hand on top of Komaeda's.]
no subject
( he just wants him to know that, which also means don't touch him until he gives permission. )
How many futures are you trying to save?
no subject
All of them. You must always shoot for the moon; even if you miss, you land in the stars.
