I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.

The truth is, there's no way Hiyori-kun could've asked and gotten an answer for that... because Ebalon-kun and I found her body in the snow.
It seems like she'd fallen somehow, and that was... her cause of death. I'm not exactly a professional, but even I could tell that. Her limbs were, um, twisted in ways they really shouldn't be, her back too, and her head... was in the same state. Ebalon-kun mentioned that her bruising told the same story.
[so. at least one known.]
But there's something else. Her face was burned. Not beyond recognition, obviously, but it's still strange to me.

None of the windows above the auditorium were shattered, though it's possible for someone to have opened them, pushed her out, and shut them, so I suppose there's that. But going back to the fire, it either wasn't magical fire, or the person who used the fire spell was too inexperienced to get it to last long. The reason I'm saying that is...

If it were magical fire, and done right, she wouldn't have been recognizable. We have two examples of that — Rue Ryuzaki and the mystery person who showed up in the pool in September. Which leads me to ask, did anyone discover signs of burning anywhere in the school? Ashes or a black spot on the floor, things like that? There wasn't anything like that in the snow outside.

If she was in that state, it'd be easy to figure out who did it. ( since fire magic is really good, couldn't they weaken their magic? komaeda doesn't know about fire magic, isn't there people who take a class for that. )
I'm sure our murderer wouldn't want that.

Things he's not loving... being hugged around the waist and also squeezed, he's got his elbows lifted and head turned down and to the side like someone who's being very slowly tackled. He doesn't squeak, but out of the kind of practice that someone gets when they deliberately pre-emptively force themselves not to be ticklish and it sticks that way. Instead he's sort of bracing a hand on Komaeda's head and trying to push him away while sort of hop-drifting to the opposite side.]

Burns, right... There were some - get off - on Maya as well, all over her. It's strange, there weren't any on her uniform. You'd think there would be, right?

Nope. It was more like... boiling water burns. Those wouldn't singe the hair. Come to think of it, that would explain the uniform too.
[Or so he's conjecting on the spot... but it's a reasonable conclusion to draw, at least as far as Maya goes. That must have been Komaeda's line of thought as well.]

They're not the same. The Vice Principal's were definitely more severe, the sort you'd probably get from fire, [as noah'd mentioned, magic or not,] and not splotchy like Arisu-san's.
[so maybe it was nothing... it's still weird though, and she doesn't know if she'd call it ice burns or not, or if it has any connection to the principal's office when the note was in the faculty...]

Splotchy... this is quite the conundrum, there's nothing wrong with testing Hiyori-kun's idea, it'll waste time if it doesn't work, but it's best to cross it off the list.
