♪ my class trial, our class trial ♫
Who: Everyone + Hiro if ori wants
When: January 12th, then anytime past January 15th
Where: Common Room
What: please let's wake steph and also maybe prove miyuki innocent if he really is
Warnings: tbd
[there is no gentle way to do this on the pda.
but you know what that is perfectly fine they were doing CSI rp earlier what's one more--]
All hands, round up.
Think we've got as much as we can right now, so let's settle in and work it out -- together. Come to the usual meet-up spot as soon as you can, and we're not leaving until the perp's worked out. Bring your own joe and a wit sharp as can be, because we are in for the long haul.
Detective Akamatsu, signing out.
[...
a-anyway.
meng yao's done his best to preserve one (1) stephanie meanswell and she's currently laying on the couch in a state some may find familiar and others not at all, but she's very much alive -- if barely. have your shock and surprise, this is going to be once all evidence is collected icly. also after noah and kaede make a grave for miss vp god rest her soul.
...
hiro is allowed to be here, if he wants, if only because part of this is his sister's death and one of y'all had BETTER take care of him.
there are no snacks, no drinks unless you byoj (bring your own joe), and kaede will wait until... all or presumably all are filed in before she speaks.]
I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.
[please. even the most unbelievable, impossible happenings have roots to them, and she wants it solved -- not just for hiro's sake, who's pain is something she can barely imagine, but for stephanie and the vice principal, too.]

I am thrilled to utilize such a scientifically sound method! Hopefully this shall multiply the efficiency of our investigations!

[Shin's like a dog that's never quite sure what to do once it's caught it's tail; he wants to be respected and liked, looked up to and relied on, but also fears it. Ishimaru standing at attention like he's actually the teacher he feels imposter syndrome about being is... bringing it home a bit.]
...Surprised it's taken this long, really. Maybe we're getting a little too used to this...
[It's been on his mind, lately.]
no subject
I would hope that's not the case... but with all of the incidents I've experienced at this point, it is hard to deny that possibility outright. [He didn't want this to be his life, but here they are.] This truly does feel overdue, though. Who knows what mysteries could have been solved more quickly by utilizing this method!
no subject
[Under other circumstances, it might even be a little fun... it still is a little but in a way where he can't really forget why he's doing it either.]
Ahaha, well... we have it for the future now.
[He'd like to be wrong about there not being any more murders after this, but he knows that's not very likely. November seems to have been some kind of fluke... apart from the non-transfer-involved ones.]
no subject
[A lot of these things would be more fun in different circumstances. If only there were no murders and they were just playing some mystery-solving game for fun!]
I- I am sure that they will come in handy for all kinds of incidents! [He doesn't want to face the reality of future murders and prefers to think of this being used to solve minor incidents like catching cookie thieves.]
no subject
Like who keeps stealing labelled food from the dorm fridge?
[He's already solved the mystery of who kept turning on the tap when he was in the shower... Sara. Such are the woes of living with others... unlabelled food, now that's fair game.]
Ahaha, could be that sort of thing's why people are reluctant.
[He's thinking about Bonnie particularly. That information being on file for things it wasn't given for... he knows how worrisome that can be, even if you never end up being caught out by it. The simple fact of it being out of your control and in someone else's hands... It's why he used VPNs and the like.]
no subject
Indeed! That is a crime that cannot be overlooked! Those who follow proper refrigerator procedures should not have to suffer like this!
[He's very passionate about things like this! And he nods sagely at Shin's conclusion.]
I see, I see. So taking these fingerprints could be a first step towards unraveling a web of crimes! We could end up with prints from particularly sticky fingers! [The mysterious thief of Yogen High!]
no subject
Err, well... Ahaha, I get the feeling the majority of us would fall under that umbrella.
[Help. He'd started taking things from crime scenes because, well, he thought it would help to have evidence on hand, given how often Sara was able to win a point by holding something she'd found up to people's faces. He's not without sticky fingers himself at this point... even aside from anything you find in a death game being finder's keeper's.
But at least he's drawn the line at the fridge.]
Komaeda particularly.
[While he's airing his theft-related grievances. It's a miracle Shin ever gets his clothing back whenever he takes it. One day Shin's going to steal his jacket. The only thing stopping him so far is that it's so very obviously Komaeda's jacket... and also it's Komaeda.]
no subject
Well, I suppose that would depend on a case-by-case basis! I'm speaking specifically of stealing from our fellow students. Luckily, that much does not seem to be that prevalent... Of course, Komaeda-kun should receive a stern talking-to sometime! I am just not sure how effective it would be.
[That guy seems particularly resistant to change, after all!]
no subject
[This is just him complaining... and also Ishimaru giving Komaeda a talking to would come back to Shin in some way, he's sure. Just keep it in mind, Ishimaru... Shin's not actually intending to be cutting here.]
Right... guess that's a good thing, huh? Although I suppose if people don't mention it, it's hard to know...
[It's not like he's going to be rifling through people's lockers in the future, or something.]
no subject
[Ishimaru nods along diligently.]
It is true that it's hard to keep track of such offenses within the school. Perhaps our fellow students should file some types of reports whenever they may be wronged!
